| i was pleasantly surprised, i wasn't expecting to enjoy it this much. characters -especially katarina best girl this season already i do not care- are fun as hell. katarinas voice acting is brilliant, good pacing and the plot seems fun enough. im actually really excited, this might take top spot for me this season. |

| What an excellent first episode. As expected it was funny and enjoyable as hell. I've been waiting for an anime adaption of this for a long time. I generally dislike the typical Otome genre. This series was the first time I stumbled upon an entirely new genre for me, The otome villainess isekai genre. It's not so much the entire genre but this particular series. I absolutely loved this one for some reason to such an extent that I read through not only the manga but also the LN immediately. It's a very unique isekai. Now I still dislike the otome genre but the fun thing about this anime is my dislike got offset by the interesting MC, the unique plot and also, more importantly, the main characters' Bi-harem. That's right, the MC tries so so hard NOT be a villainess and tries to get chummy with all the character only to make both the male and female characters fall for her instead. Of course, Katarina remains a dense idiot oblivious to all the progress she makes keeps going though it all thinking about her doomed future. A lot of people classify this series as Yuri. But the series does not really delve into actual Yuri relationship (despite how much I want it to). Though both male and female characters fall the MC one-sidedly. It's all a big tease. I seriously feel Katarina's chemistry with Maria is best out all other pairings and so I ship those two. But unfortunately the series is a shoujo. So basically its almost guaranteed that Katarina will probably end up with the Prince. The tragedy. But the series is still a whole lot of fun. It gets a bit boring in the very late game due to a lack of proper antagonists. Some good enemies appear but Katarina talk-no-Jutsues all of them into allies instead. None the less the anime should be a very enjoyable ride provided they don't screw up the adaption, its all good so far. Can't wait till when the magic university arc finally starts and the best girl Maria appears. |

| I went in to this series maybe hoping that this would be an enjoyable silly twist on the isekai genre, and this first episode exceeded my expectations in every single way. I loved it! I love the main character's personality, I lol'ed so much when she did that "Meeting Inside Catarina's Mind" scene with 4 different Catarinas and the mustached chairman, Keith's story in this episode legitimately made me tear up, and I absolutely loved the gorgeous dreamy watercolor-style background art. I was blown away, and I eagerly await more episodes. I hope that it can keep up this quality going forward! |

| Another great start to another show, and it's another Isekai! Though not the type we'd expect...a reverse harem otome game and the MC being a villain instead of a hero...nice and refreshing TOTAL OPPOSITES than the usual tropes. Katarina as a character is super relatable AF, as the usual reverse harem tropes not only serve as the main course, but of course, REMEMBERING that all this is NOT a dream. Working under different circumstances sure makes for some epic funny and hilarious situations, but indefinitely trailing the villainness path closely to never ensue bad/dead ends. At least for this first episode...she's onto a good end with Keith. Success? I definitely wish so! Definitely enjoyable, and the OP fits so well with the show. |

| kinda just used to dozens of Isekai's coming out and seeing which one sticks this simply seemed like it's gonna be pure fun,though i thought it was gonna be a little royal brat getting sent to the real world like a reverse Isekai someone needs to do that. but her trying to not get a bad ending since shes replaced the role of the main villain in a otome game seems like a enough of a twist to be good? hard to think shes some otaku shut in when shes got this much genki-ness lol |

| I guess kids throw tantrums no matter which world they're in. But hitting the ground to regain your past memory huh thats a new one. Still that fall sure provided Katarina with plenty of new and shocking info though. The route endings for the villain though all seem to be dead ends though it seems. The meeting of Katarina's though sure was amusing. The decision to use a multi vector approach so as to increase each of her skills in parallel with each other was an interesting approach to take. It was nice seeing her treat Keith like an actual brother though rather than like trash as her game self would have. Katarina's attempt to break through Keith's closed off self sure was a bold one. Overall an excellent opening ep that managed to combine excellent world building with character intro and comedy. Looking forward to see what Katarina will be up to next ep in her quest to overturn her destined fate. |

The older ones I know are like Fushigi Yuugi, The Twelve Kingdoms, Vision of Escalfowne and a few others that I can't recall now. You seem to watch more anime than read manga/LN, so that's probably the reason why you hadn't as only on the last two years we got announcements of adaptations and on last year two of them debuted, with Bakarina debuting this year. There's three more announced already but who knows when we'll see them, maybe this year. |

| I loved the episode! I'm looking forward for this anime, if it continues like this it might be the best anime of the season (not counting the sequels). However I didn't quite understand the isekai scene. Was the main character already isekai'd to Catarina before the scene? No, right? I mean Catarina before that scene was a smug spoiled brat. But in the isekai scene we still see the original spoiled Catarina in the beggining, so I'm supposing that during that isekai teleport hole or whatever, that she was being progressively replaced by the japanese otaku. But why did she seem to recall the memories while in Catarina's personality? That was confusing as hell haha |

Lol, yuri literally appeared as shoujo's sub-genre. Not to mention that in shoujo yuri subtext and open lesbians were always more than in ordinary shonen. Seinen with its yuri as moe noticeably turned the situation around, but still. But you're right, this title is not yuri. But for another reason: yuri subplot is used here more to parody and attract a wider audience than the real potential element of romance. This is not even quite straight romance, since Katarina does not care about romance at all, sincerely believing that she is on the friendship route. |

I usually don't like Isekai but was still waiting for this one... because, again, of absurdness lol The new meta is becoming making absurd isekais so you can laugh at them, but still... |
