This weekend I just watched some more weekly anime, played some don't starve together and managed to get davinci resolve up and running. Didn't finish the investigation of what obs settings I should use to record to footage in such a way that it looks good, doesn't take too many system resources, doesn't suffer from obs' annoying flickering caused by gpu drivers and at the same time can be imported with the limitations of the free linux client :3
Yesterday and the day before I didn't do much. Mostly just wasted time on youtube and listened to music :3

Ingame footage of course, but the flickering is a known issue caused by the nvidia drivers. Turns out you have to turn off a setting in the drivers to fix that. Here's an example of what that looks like. In my case it looked a little less extreme, but the problem is the same :3

I never had a problem with clock speeds though, was more about getting the right resolution sometimes. Always had to use a shellscript in autostart which sets the correct resolution in the nVidia driver ^^

Yeah, it's not the most interesting anime. It's better than last season's fairy gone, but that hardly means much. At least they didn't make the monsters with bad cg like fairy gone and arifureta shokugyou. Though in the latter's case I'm not sure it even qualifies as bad cgi anymore, that's so bad even a N64 character would look less out of place. Hell, in the latest episode I was reminded of inferno cop more than once and not in a good way xD

I actually finished the Witcher 3 main story last week, I think it took me about 80 hours of playtime. Now I have the DLCs left... with approximately 40 more hours xD

Nope, I rarely go on a trip. Of course, but like I said, this year the number of hours is still pretty low. Last year for example I also helped out a bit with the papier mache part and combined with how late things got iirc I spent close to 50 hours of which 21 from saturday morning till sunday morning xD

First I romanced Triss, since I simply like her better. Then advancing with the story I thought since Yen is the canon ship, I'll go with her instead. Unfortunately the game wasn't prepared for such a turnaround, so I indeed would've romanced both (or rather none) in the end... which is why I might have used the console :P

I also know some people who were roped into participating at one of the groups by someone they knew and went there to participate with heavy feet wondering how on earth it could be fun, only to then end up liking it more than expected and spend just as many hours :3

Yep, I cheated in a singleplayer RPG. Just like 90% of Skyrim players :P

Well you have this group of 100+ people who all gather together to work on the same hobby project that got way out of hand, some work on the tech side with scaffoldings etc, others work on the food/drinks, others sit at the long tables preparing the flowers, others move the flowers to and fro where they need to be, others get the flowers needed from the land or other groups, others put the flowers on the vehicle etc. And throughout the whole thing you have this atmosphere where everyone's enjoying themselves :3
And I only partake in the final stretch of it all. Needless to say there's also people who deal with getting the vehicle to the event terrain and participate in the actual parade. And then on monday morning at 8am is the result announcement and after that a giant party for all the groups that needless to say involves a lot of beer. While I could participate in this too if I wanted to, I never felt like it :3

If modding the game in any way counts as cheating then sure, but I'll have you know I never cheated in it :P

Sounds like it's actually a lot about the people working there if the atmosphere is so nice. So how come that you only socialize with these people once a year and not more often? :3

You used gameplay-changing mods, if me changing my relationship ingame is cheating, then using such mods is cheating as well :P
