1. Human
2. Newman think of them as "Space Elf" but with normal human life span
3. Cast "Cyborg"

Yeah, and there's another character that she also voices in the 2nd episode.

Nice. im on fence watching this or not, so I'll at least try that ep2.

I think of character classes. Just wording probably - 'races' I'd think there's lil baby robots who slowly grow metal until full sized and that's pretty weird lol.

taking from wiki

CASTs were once used as alternative bodies for those with enormous Photon aptitude. Due to the sheer randomness of Photon aptitude in 1st Generation ARKS, those whose aptitude exceeded the limits of their human bodies were transformed into CASTs. Humans may undergo a procedure to become a CAST, sacrificing a large majority of their original bodies in place of a CAST body. Organic tissue from a transfer still remains, enabling CASTs to reproduce.

Totally forgot what the first season was about (probably because it was pretty bad) so glad that it doesn't seem like a sequel by the looks of it. Pretty terrible starter area seeing that majority of the noobs got killed
