| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Really nice episode as usual. I was pretty happy in seeing Misuzu as follows,  he is huge still and IMO the biggest among the Youkais. I felt some sadness in the following,  I sympathize with the new youkai in the spoiler Some elements,
About preview, do we have a love story with some girl? I suspect she is a ghost and the guy is a human but we shall see. I am most interested in the next story. It looks to be just getting better and better. |

| I forgot how much I love this series. Very very high quality. and... BLOOD!!! Normally I'm not enthused with violence, but wow, when the sword stabbed through Kanawa I just went O_O. It really added a "cool" element with the addition of a katana. If this was "filler" than it was pretty fantastic, better than the first episode. If the producers can make filler this good every season than we could easily have a 22-26 episode season every other year. |

| Yup, I don't remember seeing this in the manga either, but any episode with Tanuma is a plus for me. He's a sweetheart and I love his friendship with Natsume. Besides the Fujiwaras, at this point, he's the only one who doesn't seem to have any ulterior motives in befriending Natsume. Natori is still questionable; Nyanko-Sensei - as much as I love him - definitely has some stake in all this, whether it really is the Book of Friends remains to be seen. Though I'd like to think at the end, he'll be Natsume's truest friend or something; Natsume's other school friends don't really count. Is it just me or was the music a bit strange? And I swear Sensei said 'suki' instead of 'sake'. Oh, Crunchy - so liberal. :/ |

Love his and Natsume's friendship but like Athena said, they really need to open up to each other. They are the type of characters who don't talk much but still. Reiko's story always makes me sad. Being in solitude all the time must have been so hard on her. She's such an awesome character and does not deserve sadness. I really wonder whom she got married to or had a child with. Beautiful episode like always and it's a filler? Wow really. |

| Nice episode, I liked it :) It's been a while since Natsume and Tanuma talked so it was nice to see and Natsu decided to stay here because this place is important to him ^^ Looks like he's still slowly opening his heart to others :) I don't like the preview, the new guy seems to be a total asshole? Or at least not someone trustworthy o.o" I hope Natsume will punch him haha :P |

| Yet another terrific episode. Rusty yokai was quite a nice one. Natsume and Tanuma are both such good guys. It's nice to see their friendship continue to develop. But that also makes it increasingly difficult to watch the Reiko flashbacks seeing how isolated she was. |

| This franchise just gets better and better. There are very few anime that manage to stay as good right until the end, Natsume however seems to be improving. |

I don't remember reading this in the manga. actually there was a chapter like that in the manga.. but they changed it completely! by the start of the episode it turned into something completely different I really wanted to have Natsume in some kind of actual danger, that's the only thing I expected from this episode, unlike the manga, since they included some seirous fighting scenes and blood! the fact that the ayakashi had a dagger and these kind of things are the difference between the Anime and Manga, so I was expecting a turn in which Natsume would be in serious danger. can't help but love the anime as well.. I like the manga better but I still love the anime too! :D love Tanuma and Natsume's relationship, now I want more :) (can't wait for a certain chapters in the manga to be adapted.. chapter 44 and chapter 46 - that would be perfect!) |
| Almost every still frame in this anime makes great art for canvas. Lovely episode... I couldn't have predicted; what was going on and what to expect within the first five minutes; which is the case in most other serises. Onii said: I feel so bad for Reiko, I'd be her friend. I would too, still... Reiko missed out not summoning that particular summon: - Maybe her life began changing for the better - Perhaps she never got around to summoning him - Maybe she was too afraid to have a friend at that time (lifestyle change) The 'other world' was very pleasant looking, perhaps she would have liked it, yet I understand, she couldn't trust all spirits. :( |

In any case the music intrigued while gave me shivers for some reason. |
| Tanuma was a bit late in asking his friends for help and i liked his reaction when he knew Natsuma was worried about him. The hidden village looked really nice and the way to get there also seemed very interesting shame how one of the spirit's was trying to go back there with evil intentions. |

| Interesting episode. I liked that we got to see Tanuma again, though I wish we learned something about him. My full thoughts for the episode are here on the blog. A bit surprised by the blood in this episode. =/ But overall it was nice, with a good theme that fits well for the series. |

| natsume yuujinchou: confirmed for only anime that can make me vocalize my HNGHHHHH feelings involuntarily seeing natsume happy and fist bumping with his friend.... so happy ;_; couldn't bear to watch it until today because i knew it was going to eat my insides and reform my body composition, which it did indeed do. which is a good thing. i just had to prepare my body. |
| How come show with episodic plot is still so awesome to watch after 3 seasons? I'm totally entranced by it. Although I watch many gore anime and films, I found the scene with blood shocking :O. Just something unusual for the fairytale Natsume. |
| Aw, gosh. I just can’t help but love Tanuma and Natsume’s relationship; their friendship is fully honest yet so distant at times. They tend to keep their worries to themselves in order to not cause inconveniences to others… … But they’re slowly opening up, and that’s what counts ♥ Reiko’s solitude always breaks my heart. Someone as amazing as she was didn’t deserve it in the least. |

It is clear that she has a strong dislike of humans, but don't forget here that Natsume is the grandchild here, which means she must have eventually found love. I'm starting to feel that I have a better idea of the relationship between Madara and Reiko. Could it actually be possible that Madara is with Natsume as a last favor to Reiko? Of course this is all merely speculation on my part. I'm still really curious about Reiko's past. Fantastic episode as usual. |

| kyaaaa! Natsume looks a lot cuter in this season! (don't you think so?) anyways, i think it's pretty weird to start the third season with two filler-episodes.... And while the next episode will be from the manga, i must say i didn't eally like it (cause that dude was soo mean to Natsume!) but anyways, i still loved this episode, cause Tanuma ROCKS!!!!! |

| This is a nice episode though I don't really remember this story at all when I do update on the manga. I never know the duel between Reiko and the youkai can be as simple as Rock-paper-scissors. By the way, the youkai is so interesting with 'Itai!' when Reiko hit it every round of the game. |
