Some japanese animation shorts I've seen have been laughably terrible, some of them average, but this one was just brilliant. It shows the highest-end of storytelling that can surprisingly be done in just over 3 minutes. Compelling stuff. |

That hurt my eyes, the pendulum was too fast. Anyways it was pretty good despite its short time it delivered a message well. 7/10 |

Well, this convinced me a complete story can be told in three minutes. Was it the best thing I've ever seen? No. Was it the most moving thing I've seen? No. Was it quite unique, and fairly enjoyable, yes. I'll tentatively put a 6/10 for it, yet I'll be watching this another time, and that score will probably raise a point or two. |

This is why I hate time. It feels so slow when nothing's happening yet too damn fast when you look back on it and there's nothing ya can do about it :'/ Idk why but comedians are always the saddest people xD The feels I had was enough to make me not realize that the guy died out of exhaustion before the girl until the 3rd watch and I was still tearing up by that time. |

Am I the only one who laughed my ass off at how mundane and pathetic those everymen lives unfolded? I think that comical effect was intentional, kinda satirical in a way. The ending was touching though. |

First short anime I gave an 8, and it was worth it. It was short while the art was simple but hey did it deliver one powerful story that almost brought me to tears, especially when the old man wanted to stop time in order to do spend time with his loyal and loving wife. The wife's love didn't falter, unlike him who went astray along the way, I guess men are like that in life. This writer is a good one, to be able to tell such good story without using words and short at that too with a touch of a simple art. |

Full version of this film on Tekken's YouTube channel (4:30 duration). I do miss the original track by Muse, which is incredible to listen to on its own. Furiko originally featured the third part of Muse's Exogenesis: Symphony, however I recommend listening to all three parts together (YouTube). Still stands as one of the greatest short films ever made. |

Simple and short, and yet really powerful and amazing. I even shed a tear while watching it. Especially heart-breaking was the moment when the husband tried to futilely stop the pendulum. |

The first time I watched this was in 2014 and yep, I freaking cried. I can still watch it today and get teary eyes almost all the time. Can't believe how a 4 minute video made me so damn emotional, the combination of this video + Muse - Exogenesis III (Redemption) is too much for my kokoro. |

This short anime movie definitely delivered its message, which was presented a pendulum as an allegory to passing time. Sometimes slowly, sometimes faster, but always inexorably. Definitely "Furiko" is worth watching and to me it was an unique experience for sure. |

Its simple, yet, so touching. The lesson behind the pendulum of the time was so hit, and the last scene was just amazingly impactful. Good lords, the man found out his fault and dying like that was so hurt. Rest in peace, for a better together moments for both of them, than whatever happened at their previous lifes. The time has never come to stop. So, better step it carefully, if you don't want to lost your precious thing. 8/10. |

Using the pendulum to show the flow of time is such an excellent way to tell the story. Loved how the old man tried to stop the pendulum towards the end to not let her wife die. 8/10 |

I come back to this every few years. Especially since the Muse song on it, not sure why, it just evokes even more tears out of me. Probably because I am getting older and it resonates deeper each time. |
