That was a fantastic conclusion to that arc. I don't even need to say why, we all know why. Very good arc, very good closure, and a very badass but true to himself Araragi-san.

Oh wow.. all the build up for this.
Totally worth every second I spend watching until now.
Araragi made the best entrance ever.. how could this series survive without this guy ?
Oh gosh.. my heart really throb when she got rejected. I can't bare to watch that.
The patting scene was wayyyy to adorable and heartbreaking. T^T

This is why I still watch dumb shitty harem where all the girls can live happily ever after. LOL.
My heart might suffer a lot from the feels in the consequent arcs.

This made me cry tbh.
At least Arararagi is a really kind guy and I respect him a lot for rejecting her properly, yet still offering to be there for her whenever she needs him. I wish more guys were like that... =_=
And for me this episode was 10/10 material, but I have to add that the previous episodes were not THAT engaging (except for some scenes with Hitagi)

'Nuff said. Monogatari is topping its own standards, which means I should probalby just lower my scores for every other series by one.

There were moments of awesomness and moments of melancholy. Hanekawa is becoming (or already has become) my favourite character, simply because she's so relateable. I'm really looking forward to next arcs.

Remember: No matter what you do or what you become, you'll still be you. Ep 5.

Plot: Tsubasa tasks the Cat with dealing with Kako, the youngest sister of Tsubasa apparition creation. With some help, Tsubasa begins the journey from "pure white" to "dirty human" and it is the best part to happen to her.

CHaracter: THis is what was missing from Bakemonogatari and lo and Behold, Tsubasa has finally come. She has gone from the polite and clean girl from Bake to the now tiger stripped girl who has cried from rejection, been annoyed by the people around her, and can finally say "I'm home" to the people who should be her parents. She is a regular human existence now. SHe can move forward.

The revelation of what burned her house down at the beginning, the burns of the ruins, the short meeting with Hachikuji(the oddity that can only be seen by those who wish to be lost) was the perfect bow to finish the plot.

The Cat surprised me. I think I can finally like it now...yet its gone. Life's weird like that. Kako I didn't really have any strong feelings for.

Koyomi...saving the day like BOSS.

Animation/sound: THe opening sequence of Tsubasa's trip around the world was a delight to watch seeing her interact with such strange places and her letter to the Cat gave the right sense of finality. The fight was short but did well in amping up the tension and the Big Damn Hero made me cheer.

5/5. A wonderful ending to a lingering plot. Welcome home, Hanekawa Tsubasa. Good luck in the future.

Wow.... that episode left me speechless. The adaptation of the last couple chapters in this episode was done pretty damn well in my honest opinion. 10/5

Araragi's entrance was epic as hell :D and the new BGM's i heard in this episode were pretty good especially because it fit into the scene quite well.

Hanekawa confessing, getting rejected, getting pat, showing real emotions for the first time, and getting her own room was just too much for my heart to handle. ;'(

Came here to say that. Damn, that was a deep awesome episode.

Good episode. Its overall message was probably overshadowed by its godly Shaft presentation but it was still kinda touching.

And Hanekawa being rejected, REJECTED! I don't think my heart can take it for a while.

But you know, Araragi said she loves Gahara only "for now", I'm still kinda hopefull there would be big break-up of this pair in the end of this series and that he'll choose Hanekawa in the end. Cause he knows Gahara needs him to cure herself up.

Well, Mayoi, now it's your turn to go.

wow, just wow. I will be frank, I was really annoyed by Hanekawa. I didn't pity her, nor did I care at all about her problems. Honestly I felt it was a drag when she was on screen. Now she is one of my favorites. The way everything regarding Hanekawa tied together, starting from the very beginning of Bakemonogatari, really made me feel like I had watched someone grow, and I genuinely felt happy for her...
I realize I have a lot in common with her....just taking things as they come, never asking for help, bottling all of the envy, anger, sorrow, and negativity in for years...yet keeping up a convenient facade of whiteness and purity.
"beautiful white lies of ignorance"
This was an amazing resolution to Tsubasa Hanekawa's internal struggles with her family, her love, her jealousy, and her stress...she just had to something about it and accept all parts of herself; the dark, the envious, the rejected, and the white.

Hanekawa gained a lot of my interest in this arc. I was sad at the end when she got rejected because some part of me really wanted that happy ending for her. Maybe it will at some point? Otherwise Araragi finally returns to save the day. I missed that guy.

If I had to assess these first five episodes, it would negatively, as there is a lot of information, some mysteries, but Tsubasa Tiger saga has been a little boring, very far from the wonderful Kuro. This Shiro paracer only a "bad" introduction.

Now that I rewatched this episode, I can relate with Hanekawa more than before. I thought how brave that she can truly accept her bad sides now. I think that's a pretty hard to do. I honestly having a hard time loving myself. To be truly love yourself is something I still can't do. Hanekawa must have felt overwhelmingly happy. I hope I could be like her someday.

Araragis epic entrance gave this episode a touch of Shounen which I liked.

And finally Hanekawa was able to accept her feelings and became a normal human. Her monologue with the intrumental of the opening at the end were a nice finish.

This was the best arc so far and I think it got me really hooked with the Monogatari franchise.

So Hanekawa's battle with apparitions has come to an apparent closure. She had to realize that having emotions other then complete acceptance/loving everyone was apart of life, and make them part of herself to avoid splitting them into monsters.

The part where she confessed to Araragi and then broke down when he turned her down broke my heart. Araragi, how do you not see best girl right in front of you?

I think her new half-silver hair is pretty sexy. Shame that she dyes it.

Although Araragi mother showed up in previous episode, I want to discuss it here (because reasons).

I've read a lot of comments telling that Araragi mother is behaving a lot like Senjougahara, and I must say I thought the same and was wondering if it was just me. :D

I'm not sure yet, but I think it was some "realistic" way to explain why would Koyomi would choose Senjougahara over Hanekawa; it's because people subconsciously learn patterns from their childhood, and the first experience they (we? :D) have is with their family, right? It's not unusual that people subconsciously (again) behave and choose their partners according to what they saw in their environment. No, I'm not talking about Oedipus complex, that's just the way things are. :D

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong. :D

Anyway, great episode, I loved it. Ahh, the feels, so strong, so painful.

It was quite obvious at this point that someone would save her considering how we waited 5 fricking episodes for something to actually happen. Guessing Shinobu finally found Araragi; why he was powered up instead of Shinobu is another question though..

Ultimately the arc was just too long, the first 3 eps were basically foreshadowed by the latter where significant progress was made in terms of plot. I guess in a way the last two redeemed things; we finally got to see a glimpse of the Araragi mother - the source I guess of their lust for justice. Mrs Araragi was initially quite harsh but her words + body expressions were really poised and calculated much like Senjou's mannerisms + really helped Hanekawa with coming to terms with her family, hope we get to see more of their parents.

Really glad we were also able to get some closure + a proper ending for black Hanekawa, I love how tame she became upon coming to terms with Hanekawa + how while hesitant, ended up accepting Hanekawa as a sister. With her short hair she is 100% the cutest character in the series. If only Hanekawa kept her stripes.

What I didn't particularly like was the lack of explanation as to why Senjou's personality changed so much in this series. Hopefully we don't have to wait til the final arc to understand why. Lastly, the lack of concern for Koyomi's disappearance was strange, everyone except Shinobu seemed to just accept that he was off doing his own thing. Was expecting his sisters to go crazy.

I literally screamed when I heard Kamiyan's voice. Kyaaaaaaaaa! I miss that handsome and hot voice so much. Welcome back, Arararararararagi-kun. Kyaaaaa!

I feel really bad for Hanekawa when she's got turned down by Ararararagi. When she started crying, I started crying, too. Poor neko. ;-; I have no problem with Araragi being ended up with either Hitagi or Hanekawa. I love them both. When she's being patted by Araragi, though. So fucking cute.

Now the History Tiger is gone and Hanekawa got a new hair color. Black with white stripes like a zebra. Pfffft. Hahahaha! Now she's got her own room in their new house. Happy for her and Araragi has no reason being scared for her unlike before. Lmao.

Such a good fucking episode. And I'm just so happy seeing Araragi again.

Yeah, but maybe koyomi action symbolizes that some of our problems are much bigger than ourselves, and we need the help/support of friends and family to overcome them for real, sure, most of the work must be done by ourselves but loved ones may be the force that make possible to really make a turn on our lives, so koyomi was necessary and actually, that gave birth to a pretty cool and emotional scene.

Thanks, yeah it depends on the problem, of course some time you have no other choice other than rely on yourself, but what i meant is that one must not be filled with so much pride to the point he refuses to ask for help, which is exactly what the characther did and almost brought tragic consequences. So i think it can be a useful suggestion for a lot of folks :)

Wow, what a fantastic end to Hanekawa's arc. She was finally able to ask for help, and now she's accepted all of her negative emotions that make her human. I'm so proud and happy for her :)

Now that she isn't as "perfect" as she was before, hopefully her relationship with her parents improve. Asking for and finally having her own room is a huge start.

Araragi was so damn cool during his season debut haha. I wonder why his clothes are all torn up. I guess that question isn't too important considering he's been missing for days now haha.

From reading the comments and looking at the chronological order table from r/araragi, it seems like we'll be jumping all over the place time-wise during this season. That probably means that this series will have a lot of rewatchability, and that makes it even more exciting when we start putting more pieces of this puzzle together. I love mysteries!
