Your Lie In April isn't sad. fuck Kaori. She deserved to die. Attack On Titan is bad with uninteresting characters the only reason it's popular is because of the shock factor. Cowboy Bebop is bad with uninteresting characters and a lame villain. |

Death note is worth watching because it's a very unique experience, there's nothing like it. Just ignore the obnoxious fanboys and have fun Code geass is worth watching because it's FUN. It's riddled with problems but it's really fun, entertaining and binge worthy. AoT is worth watching because it's fun, well produced and engaging. Try it, it's much better than most action shows. we can all agree Code Geass has a lot of problems but it irks me how you skipped over AoT that is a big problem itself. It might be better than most action shows but not by much. If by well produced you mean animation then yes. it has it's fair share of problems too. i just didn't want to mention them. by well produced i mean it has great animation, good art style, awesome soundtrack and good voice acting. With that I agree. was just afraid you were refering to it's plot as good. It really stands on it's animation/OST imo. But then again, what shounen has solid plot. |

>Evangelion 2.0 is blatant shallow wish-fulfillment thay totally flies in the face of everything the original series stood for >Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood could've done with a little less of that shonen cheese. The ending seemed to go a bit too well for everyone. >Mob Psycho 100 far exceeds One Punch Man in most aspects (possibly even in aesthetics) >SASAGEYO best AoT OP >Prison School is the funniest thing on the face of the planet, and I don't care if you judge me on that statement >Code Geass' lanky ass character models are actually kinda charming >Chimera Ant arc is perfectly paced and the narrator is simply a godsend. Also Meruem did nothing wrong. > Killing off Kamina worked greatly in the show's favour >Part 5 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is criminally underrated. It features the most creative stands in the entire series+the best minor villains+the best battles+the best art+the best team dynamics. >5 cm/s >>>> Kimi no Na Wa >Kill La Kill despite it's bouncy and in-your-face atmosphere, is painfully boring >The last 3rd of Death Note wasn't that bad >The second season of Darker than Black wasn't that bad >The second season of Psycho Pass wasn't that that bad >The first half of Steins;Gate is not boring in the slightest >Akame Ga Kill handled death the worst way imaginable >Highschool DxD would've been a hell of a lot better if it dropped it's paper thin excuse of a 'plot' and just went full-on porno >Fuck Rem. Subservient waifus are unrealistic and creepy. |

CrimsonResonance said: >Highschool DxD would've been a hell of a lot better if it dropped it's paper thin plot and just went full-on porno. I totally agree with this sentiment. The show became fucking cringeworthy when it tried to take itself seriously (the weepy, cliche violins only made it worse) and was at its best when it embraced the fact that it was smut. So yeah, seeing it go all the way would have been a great deal more entertaining. |

Couldn't agree more. I just don't get all that hate for them. For Subaru I can say that cliche one "he did nothing worng". And he really didn't. He's not weak crybaby either. Maybe he's a classical good guy protag type, but I don't see why would that be bad. I can only think he's hated by salty Rem fans. Shirou kinda is nothing special as character, but not for hate. Shinji is supposed to be crybaby. Yes, I'm going with that "he's just a 14 year old boy and acts like every other 14 yr old would". Not to mention his emotional issues, dysfunctional family and quite a few untreated neuroses. And that makes him interesting. He's not perfect, but at the same time he breaks many cliches. EoE wouldn't be that great if Shinji was more stable. |

I really like SAO, including Asuna being damseled. Every episode of Bleach looks the same. DB Super looks like a newgrounds flash animation. Naruto looks like a douchebag in that jumpsuit. Azumanga Daioh isn't that funny. Sailor Moon Crystal is ugly. One Punch and My Hero Academia are good but horribly overrated. Berserk's new anime isn't THAT bad. Galko-chan isn't a masterpiece, and Hajimete no Gal is ok. Monster girls are off putting. Fanservice can be an amazing part of an anime. Death Note had the perfect ending. Jojo is too ugly to even be a comedy. Kabaneri is WAY better than Attack on Titan. I could think of more but I'm sure that'll rile enough people as is. |

Also: - FMA 2003 is better than Brotherhood - AnoHana is way too overrated (and that comes from a major tearjerk lover) - Senjougahara is too bitchy to be that liked (at least in events up to koimonogatari - she showed quite a few redeeming qualities in that one) - Black Rock Shooter is a total mess - Clannad is not the best key anime, can agree with op - School Days certainly has it's problems, but ending isn't one of them - Wixoss shouldn't be compared with Madoka and recommended to Madoka fans, they were nothing alike - AoT is generic - Though I like Kamina, certain events in episode 8 were good for TTGL as a show - Taiga is way too overrated - Same can be said for 90% of tsunderes (don't hate them all, but don't get the appeal of most stereotypical ones) - Same for 90% of other -deres (again leaving that 10%, since there can be good charas like that) - Megumin is a bit overrated, not much, but a bit yes (I actually like her too, and I'm not saying that just because I'm Aqua fan, I'm saying that because I was shocked when I realised how great her fanbase is - was expecting a smaller fanbase and that's all there is to it) - Sao is way too overrated, and Asuna is even more |

In my opinion: Code Geass is one of the dumbest anime I've ever seen. Tsuki ga Kirei is overrated. Spice and Wolf is only above average. Your Name is a pretty meh movie. GitS Stand Alone Complex was painful to watch at times. Kara no Kyoukai series, from what I remember, was pretentious. Ergo Proxy isn't pretentious, but it's pretty darn close. Nearly every A1 Pictures show is overrated. Boku no Hero Academia is not a good series, at least after S1. Eromanga-sensei, as a piece of entertainment, is worse than Hand Shakers. Monster's pacing was nearly perfect Gundam SEED is terrible And probably the most extreme of them all: I f**king hate Koe no Katachi/A Silent Voice |

Try Rewatching the complex and the individual episodes again if you did in like the standalone episodes. You might appreciate the show more. KnK had some pretentious dialogue but the 5th and 7th movie fixed this problem by making all the dialogue important to the story and easy to understand if you're invested in the series. Ergo proxy is brilliant in my opinion. Did you have any problems with following the story? I can link some helpful articles that might help appreciate the storytelling in the show. |

I mean, the brute of these "philosophical" conversations were Makishima constantly spouting bazillion of literature quotes that are actually not that all relevant to the context. It's just akin to university students quoting literary references word per word more than they need to just to make their paper look like it has more credibility in it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Makishima and Kougami's characters, but I honestly think they (as is the entire cast) are not fully fleshed out. They lack personality and their backstories aren't well-explored, which I believe, are necessary for the type of story that Psycho-Pass wants to present. |

His characters are his tools in this regard. With their help he can bring us interesting theories. His characters have convincing beliefs because they are based on these theories, not because theories are based on the characters. and he did that quite well, the show made me think and do some research about some of it's ideas. the characters might seem lacking in some usual characterization aspects (backstory, completely unique personalities ect) but they were not meant to be written like normal characters in the first place. he used the same writing style in madoka and i heard he did the same thing with fate/zero but i have not seen that yet. |

HxH 1999 is way better than 2011, and 2011 is terrible. I've got some pictures comparing some moments on my profile, but 2011 just doesn't make me feel any humanity in the characters. The smooth and terrible skin colors just make them look like designs rather than people and the hair looks like it's just copy pasted on their heads, and the way characters act/are framed often makes them seem like they're some kind of evil comic book villain instead of a human doing something evil/that they wanna do, it looks pretty bad, especially when you compare it to 1999. And it removes a lot of small character moments and quirks which really add a lot to the characters (like paku's evil smiling and winking, and shalnark's controlling people looking like a video game in 1999, while 2011 has a POV camera). And of course Hisoka looking and sounding so much creepier in 1999. |

Re:Creators is the worst anime ever made. Evangelion's ending is bullshit (each interpretation). A decent English dub is better than the original. it's OK to rewrite characters in dub - this often raises them above their generic roles. Black Butler's fake-ish English dub is great. Guilty Crown is (subjectively) better than Code Geass. Anime is trash, and that's OK. |

- Full Moon wo Sagashite is one of the most dramatic and emotional Animes I've ever seen. I feel like some people even forget about this Anime. - Hajimete no Gal was funny in the beginning. Got really bad after the time but the ending was actually decent. - Kimi ni Todoke is one of the best Romance Animes I've seen. Ofc it's not realistic but it actually feels like a real Romance and I love to see the characters growing up. I never had a problem with how long they took to get in a relationship. - Sakamoto desu ga? was actually really funny but the jokes got boring after the times because it was always the same thing. |
