Seeing how powerful All Might is when he already has given One For All to Deku and has been nerfed because of his wound and weights is really crazy because that means that Deku will be a lot stronger one day.

And yes I know that I'm pointing out the obvious but seeing this episode kind of drove the point home even further.

at first I thought that Deku might release a full power of One for All unconsciously to hit All Might, lol

The moment All Might said that he was going to try his best, I knew shit was about to go down. He is so Op. Izuku hit him with all he had and even then he didn't even move an inch.

Damn, Bakugo might be a douchebag but he sure is strong, quite possibly the second strongest student atm, after Todoroki. Let's see where the next episode leaves us at.

I really do not understand Bakugo's character. He's so far from hero material.
He says he wants to be the best hero, and the only way he measures it is being able to beat other people. Being an actual hero is way more than that.

I honestly wonder if his backstory is just that what has been shown so far, or if there's something much deeper.

Bakugo learns the value of teamwork and not being an asshole finally. All Might was still a boss even with the weights. He was so frightening.

“Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth. But the world isn't perfect, and the law is incomplete..." -Alphonse Elric

"Then and now, what I protect has never changed!" -Sakata Gintoki

I'll take anything like The Pet Girl of Sakurasou. Anything as good as that.

I really hope he gets better later on, because by now he's just insufferable.

Awesome episode, animation in the second half was amazing. Bones delivering as always.

Loved how Deku and Bakugou were forced to put aside their issues and cooperate to win.

All Might's eyes are always so damn cool. xD

I love how this episode showcases the amount of conviction Bakugou has, about winning only the way he chooses and that he'll never accept something different. That moment when he murmurs that in a half dead voice while All Might is holding him is so damn powerful. I'd even call it sorta of inspirational since sticking to your convictions is one of the things you must do no matter what. Bakugou is one of the best examples of that even if he comes off as a jerk at times.

Also loved it when Deku went back to get Bakugou from All Might, his naive heroism is what I love about him the most and I always love seeing that trait in action. All Might watching the two as they escape was nice, he definitely was in a super weakened state but I like to think he let them win since they learnt their lesson.

Soundtrack was off the charts as usual and they even played 'You can become a Hero'. <3

Great roundup to the arc with Deku's little narration and now let's move onto an interesting little encounter next episode and a hopeful S3 announcement.

Dude what are you smoking, it was established from the very beggining that Bakugou wants to become the greatest hero, and it's being brought up over and over again. There is literally no way that he'll become a villain.

Like another poster said here, Bakugo acts nothing like a hero would. It goes beyond the point of being an edgy anti-hero sort of type. Even other characters in the show acknowledge this and have pointed out on more than one occasion that he doesn't act like a hero and at least once said that he behaves like a villain.

Wanting to be the greatest hero is far from all it takes to actually become even a modest everyday hero. And yeah, it's being brought up over and over, it's just as likely that it's setting his character up for a fall from grace (well... a dip in this case) by reinforcing the notion.

[quote=G_Spark233 message=52423168]This episode showed once again why Bakugou is such a great character.

All Might's power is insane! Poor Midoriya and Bakugou got completely destroyed.

i had completely forgotten All Mights true power until now. the fight with Nomu didn't even show a fraction of his destructive power like it did today.

Yes. We need the best girl with much screen time.

Is this girl important somehow? Everyone is talking about her like she's a big deal but she seems more like a secondary villain to me. Well, it's kinda refreshing to finally have a female villain since BNHA had none so far.

Bakugo's character is awesome.

Both him and midoriya grew up admiring All Might. One admired his unfaltering hope and smiling at the face of adversity. The other grew up admiring his unwavering determination to win at all cost!

Well, yeah she's a secondary villain, but she still plays a big role. Until now, Shigaraki was the acting leader of the League of Villains, then you have All for One as the actual leader and the only other one worth mentioning was Kurogiri. But with the addition of Toga (the girl) and Dabi (the guy) that changes now. In USJ, the villains aside from Shigaraki, Kurogiri and Noumu were basically just fodder, but from now on there are secondary villains acting beneath Shigaraki, who are taking orders from him. As the League of Villains is at least currently the main antagonist, characters like Toga and Dabi are bound to play a big role.

You could say that from the structure of the organization, it's kind of like Akatsuki in Naruto where you have someone leading the organization and secondary villains beneath the leader who still play a big role in the story. Only the structure is similar though, aside from that both organizations are completely different. At least so far, Toga has probably been the secondary villain with the most appearances and screen time in the manga. For a secondary villain, she definitely plays a really big role.

It doesn't matter that he doesn't act like a hero, that's something he will have to change in the future in order to become a hero. He's a teenager, so his emotions are kinda all over the place and that's definitely not a permanent thing.
His behavior is an issue, but that doesn't matter, because he has unwavering determination to become a hero and I can't imagine what kind of thing would have to happen to break that determination.

As this episode showed, he like Deku drew inspiration from All Might. Both took from different facets. One took the "win at all cost" determination and the other was inspired by All Might's unwavering calm in the face of adversity. Bakugo will be a hero!

Felt so DAMN GOOD when he was made aware of the power gap in the battle once again.

I mean seriously, taking your stand in tough battle is all cool and all but one really needs to think when to keep pressing forward or when to to give up. Although, the overall result favored those two, I don't like how it was executed, at least on the Bakugo part. The bastard needs to fucking calm down.

But it does matter that he doesn't act like a hero. It does matter that his behaviour is an issue. It informs his character. It tells us that he lacks several key factors in being a hero. Heck, he lacks several factors in being a decent person, period. Maybe it isn't permanent, we can't say for sure any which way until it happens, but what we can be sure of is this: Bakugo has been an asshole his entire life.

All of Bakugo's stated motivations are based on pride and selfishness. Something that can easily be subverted into villainy.

He was also out of time that he could be in that form (as evidenced by the steam coming off of him) so he couldn't have chased them if he wanted to.

All Might could have beaten them at any point, he even gives a pep talk to Bakugo mid fight while Deku is pinned to the ground and Bakugo can barely stand.

WHOOOOO! How could you not love this episode! All Might shows how badass he is and Midoriya and Bakugo show there determination and will...in any other sense it's just your average shounen plot...but in this anime they pull it off with perfection!

The animation was so clean and the dialogue was really well done...A++++++ 100/10 PERFECTION!

ok maybe I'm a little over hyped but still it was a pretty amazing episode...and it looks like the next and final episode of the second season will leave us with a cliff hanger that will shock and keep us asking "WHEN IS SEASON 3 COMING OUT ALREADY!?!" I can't wait to see what happens

Another incredible stand up and cheer episode.

In this episode I realized that Bakugo bears a strong resemblance to traditional shonen protagonists like Naruto and Ichigo. He has an incredible amounts of raw power, is a natural fighter and refuses to give up. Granted Bakugo has all these qualities but with the personality turned up to 11.

With Bakugo's personality I didn't see this team winning (The fact that I didn't in the main character's fight is proof that this show knows how to create drama) but the way they did was simply awesome.

I'm going to miss this show when it's season wraps up.

As expected, this was an AMAZING episode. They finally worked together! That was such a cool fight. The flashback still doesn't justify when Kacchan is so god damn angry all the time, but it certainly helped. I hope this character development makes Kacchan a little less unreasonably salty towards Deku, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Next episode is intriguing. We need to know more about these villains!

BEST EPISODE OML
Seriously, seeing Bakugou and Deku reluctantly work together was quite something; I love how they both have similar conflicting feelings towards each other, but externalise it in different ways.
It was actually pretty sad to see the lengths Bakugou will go to in order to win...it's like there's no filter on him. Like, I think those punches hurt me more than they hurt him- he got wrecked real bad this episode simply because he was unwilling to back down. It was also pretty inspirational to see Deku actually punch the guy he admires so much to save the childhood frenemy he reluctantly admires.

I wonder if All Might will even be around to witness Baku and Deku working together better...probably not :/

Ending was hype as well. New characters officially introduced, and the preview has Shigaraki without hands on his face?!?! :O

Boy, I seriously can't believe this is ending next episode. Seems like a really random and unnatural note to finish up the season on tbh...unless ofc we get an immediate announcement of a 3rd season (or an OVA at the very least).

Needless how much people can hate on Bakugo. Yes, he's an asshole and all but that just means that he has alot of room to grow. Compare Bakugo when the last when Hero academia ends and see how much he will come to grow.

The punch at the end was epic, Deku returned to being cowardish in the episode but did what he does best at the end, which is to get a grip on himself and the situation. Last episode next week.......... I don't even want to imagine a saturday without Hero Academia

I really liked this episode. I had been wanting to see Bakugo's Origin episode for a while and I like how it differed from Todoroki and Midoriya's Origin episodes, All Might influenced each of them distinct in a way befitting of his status as the Number 1 hero.

The battle was pretty onesided but Bakugo's sheer stubbornness and tenacity was admirable, don't get me wrong he's still a massive jerk and he had that beating coming but in spite of that underneath all that foulness and near villain-like aggression he's wholeheartedly dedicated to surpassing All Might and becoming Number 1. Midoriya talking back to Bakugo and punching All Might dead-on were pretty cool moments. Even with all the restraints and injuries All Might is still an absolute monster, which is to be expected. Bakugo's tenacity was arguably just as monsytorous as All Mights strength. I'm curious just how strong current All Might is compared to prime All Might...

I got some Vegeta vibes from Bakugo this episode, his beatdown wasn't nearly as intense and he technically won his fight but the point still stands.

It was nice to finally get to hear Dabi and Toga's voices, they sounded pretty fitting but they only said a line or two so I'll need to hear more of them to get a better grasp. Looks like Shigaraki's gonna be confronting Midoriya next episode, that's sure to be intense. It's hard to believe that this season's already ending next week. I've been following it since it started earlier this year but it feels like it was only yesterday that they were at the Sports Festivel and now it's all almost over.

Great character in the sense that he's really good at making you absolutely hate him, sure. But he's completely irredeemable. Everything about him screams villain, and I'd be pretty disappointed if he doesn't turn out to become a villain himself a la Stain.

I'm pretty sure you'll change your opinion once you watch S3, because there's something going to happen to Bakugou in the upcoming arc.
