Entries like G gundam, x, turn-A, ZZ, wing, and build fighters are all pretty light fun series series. 079, zeta, war in the pocket are the pretty heavy entries. the rest are kind of in the middle.Actually Tekketsu no Orphans is my first gundam series... is the other gundam series as cruel as this? my life essence cant handle this... From this point i know everyone can rip anytime, even mikazuki n akihiro. its worth exploring more of this series though keep in mind they arent all that similar save for a few so dont go expecting more ibo. |

| I'm still fucking livid about this episode a whole week later. Here's looking forward to the next episode where we get our just vengeance. I swear to god if we don't, I'm flying to Sunrise Studios burning it to the fucking ground, and then spooning out Mari Okada's right eyeball and eating it in front of her. I want my fucking revenge god dammit, Lafter didn't deserve that. I was literally staring at the screen in shock for like 10 minutes while flying on a plane. I had to go in the washroom and quietly scream some shit to feel better. Fucking hell. I haven't been this pissed at characters in a series in a long time. Azee's cry especially ruined me... so badly. Top tier VA work, because it ripped my heart out and stomped on it. |

Like you could cut out all the scenes with her in the entire series and nothing of value would be lost. Her only function is to simper over Mikazuki and be kinda cute. |

Tekkadan is the group that curb stomped some of Gjallarhorn's best, they have a pilot that utterly destroyed a Mobile Armor, and you want to pick a fight with them!? That's stupid. No it requires people to show up as he's talking to shout "REEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" because crap that's idiotic. |

| ... they've done it now... they went and killed off best-girl Lafter. She was never going to join Tekkadan. That's a boys only club. Her death, like the rest of this series, was underwhelming. The suspense during that scene was above average for this anime, but that isn't saying much. |

| That ending felt sort of forced and predictable imo. I was thinking "don't you dare kill Lafter (for a second time)" as soon as her flashback started. And it wasn't like there was a whole lot of doubt left after she said goodbye. Honestly I was expecting both Azee and Lafter to be gunned down in the middle of the mall, but of course it was going to happen in a stuffed animals store with mellow music in the background, for that obvious shock value. Basically any scene in this series that focuses on a side character and lasts longer than 5 or so minutes is a death sentence...and if there's a touching flashback then just consider them already dead. I guess I really stopped caring about the the characters about halfway through the first season. Too much of the 'character development' were just glaringly transparent ways of manipulating the audience's emotions. |

This show just pulled my heart and stepped on it. After last episode, seeing this happen felt too much. She was my best girl of the show and hoped she will have a happy Akihiro ending after surviving this much but they killed her. After i saw them splitting on the street i was hoping she will hear gunshot instead and find Azee dead(sorry Azee, i like you but Lafter was a bigger character) but the authors went the completely cruel route and killed her instead. Space Guts deserved some happiness dammit. Why is being a girl of Guts always suffering? Have to give congratulation to Azee voice actor. The reaction really conveyed the pain and sadness of the moment and how sudden and unexpected it was for everyone. Btw there is no way she is alive. The one that found her was Azee not someone unknown and the Turpines girls have no reason to lie to Tekkadan about her death and cause Tekkadan to do what that ass mafia guy wants. As for Chocolate man i am sorry but i still think he will backstab them no matter what he says. After he gets all the power he has no reason to trust a rogue group like them to govern Mars the way he likes. He will think it's better to govern Mars himself and get them out of the way. | lol.. much like last ep, gundam being gundam, and nothing says gundam like meaningless/pointless feels through forced tragedy. (although a lot more poorly and cheaply done than usual.. which isn't saying very ****ing much at all to be fair!) I'd also rank this well above the normal gundam full edglordness, and into MAXIMUM edgelord territory with it's overall pointlessness and pretty much non setup.. To be a major side character and also female in a gundam series is basically a death sentence. After all.. How could they artificially manufacture emotional epicness without the forced drama and feels from killing off well liked young women in grandiose style. (which Laf even gets jipped with here, for a second time) Seriously though.. This kind of crap got very old about ~15 years ago. IBO S2 continues it's march towards fully trashing season 01 and the series. And lol at 60%+ 10.. lol there really is no trash that some wont praise if it is epic seeming edgy enough. |

Most likely it was because of Akihiro. In classic GD/anime style, what's better and more edgelord than killing a well liked young female character for no reason.. killing one who is just starting or wanting to start a relationship with another character,.... and in typical anime/manga reasoning, just after a situation where a completely clueless male character basically either obliviously or via the normal *male character modesty in the face of a willing female* trope (so nothing could ever happen OC), totally throws away a chance to take things to the next level, or at the very least start anything serious. Which makes everything that much worse and more tragic. But also fulfills the "love and romance is usually taboo" and "get ****ed side character in love" tropes as well. (and they wonder about their birth rates.. -_-') |

| My throat felt so dry. I thought I could suppress my tears. Turns out I'm wrong. Lafter's death was so unexpected. It also made me sad when I saw a crestfallen Orga talked to McGillis. |

| Just gonna go ahead and say right here right now- anyone saying lafter's death wasn't impactful, or that she didn't die in a flashy enough way, you really must not have any emotions nor a firm grasp on reality for that matter.. (which I suppose I can't blame them for when watching robots fight in space, but still) Not only was this just gut wrenching-ly sad and horrible to see, but this is how death VERY COMMONLY OCCURS. People typically don't have pretty flower fireworks shot into space to honor them, or suicide bomb an entire ship for retribution. People die pointless, horrible deaths that shouldn't have happened. The scene with lafter is really no exception. It is sudden, it happens just like that and then that person is just gone forever. No drawn out fights or cursing your enemies, just life extinguished completely. This scene didn't suck, death sucks. Sorry to say but if you didn't respond to it with even a slight bit of emotion, you probably suck too. |
