| People in 2017 are wild for being upset that Gohan had to go Super Saiyan to beat that parasite monster, Jaco straight up said in this episode that the parasite destroyed a planet, this was indeed a world ending threat even if he looked silly and was simply a monster of the week, idk why folks get upset when the characters of the show don’t walk all over an enemy that isn’t a big bad, this would have been boring af if he ended that guy immediately. Also, this was a filler villain, I think it’s okay if they beef them up to make it interesting. All that being said, I actually really liked this filler, once again I got big GT vibes from the parasite and I even saw someone mention that its forms were reminiscent of Super Saiyan 4 and even a Shadow Dragon, and I gotta agree, the GT fan in me loved that stuff, even if it was less cool here lol. And this was also a great little story for Gohan, the lad is a full fledged family man now and he did what he needed to make sure they stay safe, I also enjoyed Videl trusting Gohan when Barry tried blackmailing him, I had a feeling she wouldn’t believe that nonsense. And Cocoa ended up being sweet too, she went from a typical cute babe to a character I would like to see again, Barry even cooled down at the end but he kinda had to after what went down lol. Nice filler, let’s see what else there is before the next big arc. |
