| Wow this wasn't what I was expecting at all. The characters all seem pretty unlikable. Especially Rito. The animation was decent but nothing to praise. Probably the best to come out of this was the OP which was surprisingly good. Overall I was very disappointed with Rito sitting back and bitching about carpet stains while some girl is getting manhandled. I don't know what is worse the characterization or the way that they handled the directing. Overall it was definately a 2/5 just because if you took the team from Kanokon and put it on this anime it would have been 10 times the first episode. Even the ecchi was pretty poor due to the horrible direction. Maybe I'd have thought better of this if I'd seen it before I saw Kanokon. Hopefully next episode will push past all the setup and actually make a convincing story. |

| Hmm, to me, ecchi is ecchi. A high volume of fanservice is pretty much expected in that case. I can stand it, regardless of how inane or annoying the story gets, just as long as I keep that in mind. There's absolutely no reason to take it seriously. So just like with Kanokon, I'll keep watching because some of it is pretty funny, and the fanservice is a nice bonus. I needed something to take R+V's place as my ecchi anime for the season and I got two replacements instead, Huh. |

| I don't mind fanservice in the least =^_^=. Sometimes I even look for it simply for some different fun than I subject myself to on a regular basis. That said the fanservice in Kanokon compared to that of To-LOVE-Ru is different if you wish to split hairs. The fan service in Kanokon was deliberate and can actually be placed as being some what relevant to the premise they are presenting on the story. The scene I think of most in regards to fanservice for Kanokon is when she's transformed and sitting atop Kouta lifting her skirt to reveal herself to him. She's made it quite clear she wants him...right then and there. The fanservice they've so far offered for To-LOVE-Ru seems distinctly out of place and thus a bit more jarring than that of Kanokon. Materializing in the bathtub nude...excessive breast movements even in her tight costume...her total lack of a sense of decency while lounging in Rito's room with just a towel on. It all screams pointless fanservice. Even so, I'm curious as to where they plan to take the story with To-LOVE-Ru. I haven't read the manga and I most likely won't. I doubt I'll drop this anime since I so rarely drop anything once I start it. I also don't hate this anime either. I was mildly entertained by it's senselessness which for the most part is a good enough reason for me to continue. So all in all I'm going to give it a 3/5 because it isn't fantastic or great...but something acceptable that I'll enjoy and for the time being not regret watching. I look forward to episode 2 and what crazy antics ensue. |

Hmm...actually, this is definitely MUCH better than Kanokon, in my eyes anyway. I've been hearing conflicting views about this show from all sorts of people, so I'll definitely keep up with it for at least a quarter of the way into it. I'm interested to see how the story develops. |
| Wait this show was actually kind of funny, I didn't expect that, kind of has a Hayate, the spoff the genre vibe, although the ending made me die a little inside. Good enough to warrent an episode 2 viewing, and if it can stay funny, which I hope it does, I'll keep it. |

| This is terrible, i liked the pun to-love-ru (toraburu/trouble) but this is really dissapointing, lousy space fight, the stupid elephant crash scene, stupid pop-out of the bathtub ecchi grope scene, stupid squid summoning GAHHH it's just terrible |

| I actually didn't think this was too bad. I'm surprised at myself for enjoying the first episode, especially since I usually don't like ecchi. Perhaps it's precisely because I don't watch much ecchi that I didn't dislike this as many others have. Rito seems okay, IMO. He reminds me of Daisuke from D.N. Angel. XD |

Hey. He did something after a minute or so, what do you want? Wouldn't you need a few seconds to take it all in first? (I wouldn't, but I don't hold everybody to my standards. :P) Seriously, this is a comedy series, not an action shounen. |

| I loved it so much, after totally finding it by accident (i wasnt even watching anime, i was looking for doctor who). Its rather generic yes, but its funny, and its in the art style i enjoy best. Best opening theme since Host Club i think. I expecually love Lala's (brother?). I can't wait for more |

| I really hate it when someone confesses with their eyes closed and do it to the wrong person and not even say the name of the one they confess to. And then not even being able to just quickly tell the truth. It should be forbidden to make scenes like that, I get so pissed of at that damn spineless wimp called Rito. |
| Typically ecchi episode from a typical ecchi series. Since I decided to watch this series I didn't expect much because once again it is typically ecchi. Lala is absolutely adorable though. Haruna is already getting on my nerves. I didn't really see how this series can last 26 episodes. It doesn't really seem like there's enough material, but I'm sure they can stretch it for that long. |

| One of the less-serious anime im enjoying on the side =] also loving the fanservice haha :P. Though the main character is abit generic being embarassed easily and lazy/clumsy etc..i just love the facials those kinda characters usually make haha |

| A great start, I lol'd the whole time!~ Why haven't I watched this yet? LaLa is fantastic, and Haruna seems like she'll be awesome as well. Did I detect some feelings for Rito on Haruna's part as well. LOL, even though I saw it coming, it was still hilarious that he ended up confessing to LaLa right in front of Haruna! And, she was like..."Oh, you were feeling the same way?" LMAO The character designs are awesome, and I love the art overall. Seems like it's going to be good, will definitely be watching this one! Urahara Out!! |

| Not too bad of a first episode, considering it's fairly old and isn't as popular today as it once was. Some light comedy is pretty much the only thing keeping me into watching this. Looking forward to the next! |

| Okay, there's plenty of problems that I could name, but one certainly overshadows the rest: who in the world came up with an idea of putting Watanabe Akeno for Rito's seiyuu? Wakamoto Norio would've been less of a misfit here. |
