That was perfect way of getting rid of dreaded paprika. Dad said it himself "Tsumugi is smarter than you think" :) I can relay to Tsumugi, i hated, and still hate cucumber, especially cucumber soup...

Lol Tsugumi hates vegetables. I know how you feel. Lol when she was looking for meat in the box from grandma. Hilarious when she was taking out those little pieces of green pepper. Inuzuka's plan to give her veggies in tiny pieces mixed with other stuff failed badly. They try something else – making something while keeping Tsugumi all pumped up and excited by involving her and hiding the veggies along the way. But that fails too. Lol evil Tsugumi. Keeping the pepper right at the top to make it easier to separate.

This felt especially hilarious since I used to be (and still am to an extent) a hardcore picky eater. I used to (and sometimes now too) separate stuff I don't like if they were mixed in with rice or spaghetti or whatever before eating. Inuzuka had to deal with this thing now and he tried his best to somehow make Tsugumi eat those peppers but failed. Hilarious stuff here.

God, Kotori is such a good mom for Tsumugi.. she looks so good together with sensei too. I swear if they don't get married... uurgh

That sly face when Tsumugi slipped her bell peppers to sensei though XD

It seems like its going the SnS way and instead of all the weird reactions we have tsumugi's facial expressions. Although Tsumugi is adorable af, i think i'm out. LOL

All I could think was her going like, "BRUH, WHAT IS THIS SHIT."

Also, I totally ship Kotori and Inuzuka-sensei.

I enjoy cucumber with very specific things but.. cucumber soup?.. A cucumber is almost a soup all by itself.. what kind of monster would dilute it further!?

Tsumugi has a new hairstyle this episode! Her magic spell dance was adorable and funny. Just like kids, she too hates to eat vegetables and they had a good plan to have Tsumugi enjoy veggies more.

Got to see more of Kotori and whats she is like at school. I figured she may be a loner but looks like has a friend in a different class but none in her own. She doesn't seem to bothered by it.

Kotori eats every...single...break! Haha, gotta love her.

I typically don't enjoy slice of life animes but this series has entertained me quite a bit so I'm glad I picked this up.

Kyouhei's cooking is improving. But his parenting skills are already top notch. Tsumugi is one of the best daughters in anime imo. Its nice to see a good father in Anime as well, usually they are missing, dead, evil, travelling, or in the background. Kyouhei is this anime season's best dad.

I can't blame Tsumugi. During my training the canteen, we ate in, made sometimes hamburger wrapped up in green pepper. It is pretty disgusting and nasty. And to this day, I can't eat broccoli. It just looks like mildewed cauliflower to me.

Tsumugi's chant and dance was adorable.

Tsumugi is life. Raise your hand if you ever pulled the veggies out the way Tsumugi did.
Them facial expressions she made. 10/10
I honestly like how the teacher and Kotori are pretty much looking like father/daughter.

Veggie wise, they aren't half bad. I tried them mini bell peppers one time but grilled. I put cheese inside them, and wrapped them in bacon. Bell peppers are mostly sweet.

I hated vegetables as a kid but I can't get enough of them now as an adult. Bibimbap is disgusting without a plethora of vegetables.

I admire the father who does his best to make his daughter eat delicious but nutritious food.

I've never had gratin before.

This one was a bit weird.
She eats asparagus and zucchini, but no bell peppers?

No onion bits in my béchamel sauce, please. They don't go in there.

And aren't they a bit too excited about the food?

I love beef in green pepper. The crunchy green pepper and the juice of the meat trapped in and all released when you bite. Delicious! Now I want to go eat some myself. IDK the official name of the dish though.

SO SHE DOES TALK TO OTHER PEOPLE IN SCHOOL. Once again, a very sweet and enjoyable episode, She really is an adorable little genius, but I find myself getting kind of upset when I see children dance, and they dance like 10 times better than me. I can't even walk in a straight line half the time. Anyway, still good episode.

The LEWDNESS is to much. Like your forum pic btw.

She was crafty to give all her bell peppers to her dad. The trick is to dice the bell peppers much finer than he did. Decent episode that clumpy dance was to much lol

This was a pretty solid episode that touched on the inevitable subject of children's sensitive pallets. It's no secret kids prefer sweet to bitter or spacy flavors, but anime has a tendency to really draw attention to this even use it as symbolism for different characters maturity. So here we find our struggling single father, working together with Iida to make peppers enjoyable for Tsumugi. The episode mines this well, Tsumugi's fussiness marks her as a realistic portrayal of a child. My biggest complaint would be the Dad is absurdly clueless taking way too long to figure out what's wrong with his kid. Very little stands out in this episode, besides the introduction of another main character Iida's energetic friend Shinobu. It's just a pretty by numbers episode of what's shaping up to be a really enjoyable series.

Japanese kids not liking peppers is really common so I'm not surprised to see it come up in this show. It was cute and actually kind of educational (regarding ways to help your kids learn to eat things they dislike). This episode will probably stick with me when I become a mom :)

The same goes for peppers & cucumbers. They're all fruits.

That being said, nutrition experts tend to group them together with veggies because their nutritional values are actually closer to that of vegetables than their fellow fruits.

Kids can eat any food that they dislike. this episode, overall it was a cute episode and obvious, it was a very relaxing episode to watch as always. I think the quality of the food is getting higher per episode ? lol xD and somehow, i like the food which they made in this episode this time xD moreover, in addition with the purpose of it xD it was kind fun to watch xD

looking foward to the next episode.

Forgot to post before, but I've actually made this twice now. ^^ It's decent, but takes more effort than the previous hamburg steak. I was unable to find zucchini, asparagus or fava beans, so I just used more carrot. Forgot to add chicken stock to the bechamel sauce the first time, so it was kinda bland. Added some bayleaves the second time. Not sure what effect they had, but I had plenty lying around, so -shrug- .
