All's well that ends well for this series too! The final "fight" was a little awkward though, with the microphones broadcasting their dialogue to everyone who can listen.

The cast of characters is way too big for a a 12 ep series. Some of them do not get enough screen time totheir develop their characters compare to Katsuhira ,Honoka Sonozaki.

This is the kind of show I had to force myself to laugh while I watch it because it's so cringey I wouldn't be able to survive it without laughing at it and if I took it seriously. The romantic element in this series single handedly ruined the entire series. It was so forced, that everyone just happened to like someone out of freaking nowhere. It's so hard to sit through the angsty moments, such as the cliche "childhood friend gets jealous at every little thing between the protagonist and another girl". I also really really dislike the lazy writing of this generation, where problem is solved by "voicing out your emotion", as if a person's feelings can so easily be put into words. It's a lot of cringe, lazy, and just plain bad.

I heard prior to watching this series that it was a mature series, oh boy it was far from it. What a terrible, terrible series, it didn't feel like the series was very well planned.

That ending was unexpected, I was expecting a better one. I don't know if it will be 2nd season but with that ending, they must do another season, but with a better ending. I enjoy the anime but not at the max.

Don't get your hopes up. It was a major flop in Japan and the sales are horrible. I seriously doubt various sponsors of the production committee even got their invested money back.

We will have to live with that which is honestly fine in its own right :)

As a person that have never been though much pain or relationships, I don't get why people keeps on complaining about it being forced. Maybe those people really experienced some things irl but for me, I don't feel any awkward "cringy" moments and everything seems to flow nicely in place and perhaps because I marathon it and have no time in between give a thought about it. A solid 8 from me as this show kept me entertained throughout and makes me want to click on the next episode asap.

P.S I really can't stand "animu critics" flaming every single show they see and thought they were so farking knowledgeable about everything. Seriously, fark them. End of rant.

I'm a sucker for visuals and soundtracks, and I sure had my fill. Especially the OP, that was special stuff.

I think it started off fantastic. Although I think it progressed in a stale kind of way, I still felt passionately about the characters. Then the last few episodes happened lost it all. They were really forced I think. .

In the end I did not understand the role of Hisomu other than overused comedy; and the Niko x Tenga thing came out of nowhere until it was first explicitly mentioned. Kind of surprised nobody died - thought there would be a scenario like that with X consequences or Y impact.

I supported Katsuhira x Chidori because I empathize with the girl who (fully) supported him, and because I ended up liking Chidori the most (for generic reasons like she's cute and caring). At the beginning I really liked how different the characters were. In the end, however, I felt like none of them really changed all that much.

It was worth it to marathon, though, based on the type of series it is. So glad I changed my mind from High School Fleet. I enjoyed it.

Control the city, get a boyfriend! Imagine what would happen if I launched a nuke, I'd probably have a harem!

4/10 I don't know how to feel about this show yet. All over the place in some segments and controlled and proper in others. It feels like the writing is as jigsaw as Honoka's manga series. Seriously. I want to like it because I like the characters, but the writing is holding me back.

Also it seems that my ship got lost. I'm so disappointed that I might as well cancel my FedEx now. Fuck this shit, man.

P.S. if you're the writer I'm coming to your house, breaking your door down, walking up to you while you're still in your bunny slippers, slapping your breakfast burrito out of your hand, smacking you in the earhole and blowing vape rings into your nostrils and shit until you fix it.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

Quite a lovely finish I must say, in the end everything came out pretty lovely I must say! The overall anime was pretty decent, the character and story development were good and the huge melodrama they put into it was solid I must say!

So all in all this was a very good anime for me!

Whew, marathoned this in one day after being persuaded by a friend to watch.

Aaaand, I seemed to like this a lot more than other people. First off, I hate this "forced drama" argument. It makes no sense to me. The appeal of the show was not how the drama was forced, but rather the interactions and implications that come as a result of that. Episode 9 was the best episode of any anime I've watched in the spring season. Watching all of the characters emotions clash in this huge climactic feels train was amazing. Other than that, the show was just so stylish as well, and was an absolute joy to watch the amazing animation and backgrounds. And also MY GOD THAT OPENING WAS BEAUTIFUL!

My biggest problem with this show was the ending. The ending was good, and it was handled rather well. But it just didn't stand up to what happened earlier in the anime with Maki and the climax of the Kizuna system. It just felt so underwhelming because it's hard to feel a whole lot for characters who never felt much emotions throughout the show, even if there were reasons for it. I don't know how I'd rewrite it to make it better though, so I'll leave that alone. Also I never got any romantic vibes from Nico toward Tenga, that felt like it was just thrown in to push the story forward. This is the only thing I somewhat agree with when people say "forced".

In the end though, I enjoyed this more than anything else that aired this season (that I watched). Strong 8, possibly a 9.

And also MY GOD THAT OPENING WAS BEAUTIFUL!

I was enjoying most of the show, even though it didn't make a lick of sense, but these last couple episodes took the cake! The drama felt so forced, which has been a recurring theme with this show. and, aside from Honoka and whatshisface, the relationships felt unnatural. Shipping for ships sake.

I never liked Katsuhira or Sonozaki to begin with, and yet their nonsensical relationship was made the focus in the end. It was nice that they explained what made them emotionless, but that still doesn't make them any more engaging as characters.

And the plot...oh, I could be here all day. Felt so purposeless. Tried to stick so hard to the "connected by pain" theme at all costs, that it became a detriment in the end. I don't drink, but this show would be a perfect candadite for a drinking game. Every time the characters blabbed on about "feeling each other's pain" or "being friends," take a shot. You'd probably end up dead afterward. Unless you die of boredom first.

Didn't really liked this show, but can't say I didn't enjoy it either. Forced drama was really, really cringe-worthy. But well, I just had to binge-watch the last three episodes now and I really enjoyed the friendship thingy though. Hisomu turned out to be amazing, and that scene in the bridge where they all had their chance to talk through the police mic thing, it was cute. Also Katsuhira and Nori's "Itaaaaaai!"

Anyway, story wasn't really outstanding, but the characters and all the laughs make up for it. Maybe except for Chidori. Still don't like her much. Honoka and Yuta's scene was cute. YUTA IS AMAZING. Enough said.

7/10. Opening song still The Awesome.

Basically a shittier Kokoro Connect for the most part, this was REALLY painful to sit through at times. Katsuhira in particular was such a frustratingly annoying character to watch, I wanted to punch his face in every single time. Kaji Yuki at his ABSOLUTE worst just made it that much worse.

I never expected this amount of hate for this show. Some people even said that this anime is too melodramatic and that's true but Anohana was also quite melodramatic and no one said anything. I like both shows because I think that Melodrama can be very moving if it's done right .

It seems that Okada prefers to write these type of stories because all her shows contain a high level of drama.

I actually really enjoyed this show and I thought it was very well-written. All the characters were interesting and sympathetic, especially Nori. Her story was amazing and her character is very well developed.

If I have to say something negative about this show is that episode 10 was too melodramatic and it reminded of the
which I found to be very dramatic as well, and while I like the last episodes of both shows, they are not exactly my favorite .

Just finished and can strongly say that I am quite disapointed with the ending. Episodes 1-10 were amazing! Was really thinking about giving this anime a 9/10. Then episode 11 got kind of boring, and the eventual romance between Nori and Katsuhira in the end of episode 12 really turned me off. Wouldve preferred
Katsuhira to stay with Chidori. Seriously, like goddamn. 7/10.

This was an interesting watch. I'll take this over Light Novel or ecchi or harem trash any day. Gorgeous character designs, gorgeous animation and lighting and a super bright and vivid color palette, I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions. Nico is a best and Hisomu was super fun to watch. The OST had a nice experimental feel to it. It could've been better, but again, considering the state of original anime nowadays, I'll take it.

Never even remotedly cared about the 'main' pairing Kacchon/Sonozaki (both are pretty bland, so them together is like double blandness), but, like most, I liked Yuki/Honoka from the start and, unlike most, I actually like Tenga/Chidori a lot more than Tenga/Nico (probably because Nico's crush on Tengu wasn't really visible until it was stated out loud, so it came a little out of left field for me, unlike with Tenga's own crush on Chidori that was really obvious), so the fact that some hope for the former remains is nice, to me. As to Nico, she hangs out a lot with Hisomu; the researchers couldn't figure him out, but could it be that he might like her?

I wasn't happy with this at all, or the ending. The show that was meant to be something but never turned into what it could of been.

It was like Trigger animated it and a whole different studio wrote the script and story, I think this shows downfall was literally just a bad choice in director and script writers, they didn't mesh well with how Trigger does things normally.

This last episode was... alright. A little better than the last few episodes had been, I think.

I thought the concept of connecting people's physical and mental pain was ok and mildly interesting, but not executed very well at all, as some have pointed out.

Not gonna rag on the melodrama in this series despite not liking it. That sort of thing is just not for me (I thought even the drama in AnoHana was a bit overblown in the end). Most anime tends to overdo it in this aspect, imo, so I don't take many points away for that.

As for the positives.. well, Nico turned out to be one of the more humorous and all-around enjoyable characters to me, which was definitely a surprise. She made some mature, salient (if obvious) points at times, even. Kept things relatively light-hearted, which is where I wish the series had been more, tbh.

If nothing else the show was damn pretty! Trigger can do good work in that department but, in terms of script and direction, can certainly do better. That said, I don't regret watching I suppose.

I don't get how Chidori is such a fan favorite..the only thing she'd ever win in a contest is most generic anime character you can find around these days, her jealous, overreaching and overprotective type is found in every single romance anime/manga you can get your hands on and everyone knows rule number one of romance animes is the "childhood" friend introduced at the start of the show always loses. That point is exactly why this show is mediocre in that regards, its so damn generic without the kizna factor to it. I really did however like the backstory to the show, but i think focusing bonds around showmancing made it a lot like the rest of the crowd.

So i would say, this was just slightly above average of a show.

I dropped this show at episode 7. I felt like it's a boring one. (the first 7 was boring).
I had some time to download anime, I prefered to watch an anime I didn't complete. And Kiznaiver came to my mind.
Episode 8 was somehow good. But once Kachon began to remember his past. That OST and that dialogue and Nori-Chan. Fuck it, I regret I didn't watch it earlier.
That's quite a good for a 7.7/10 show.
And this last episode is far better than I expected (my ships turned out to be true so I'm happy).

A few episodes ago, they were talking about how Nori's friends lost their pain and become numb like a doll and emotionless.
& also about how sad Nori and Katsuhira felt for their fellow friends etc.

This episode is about .. Nori finally giving back their pain because of some sob drama and friendship magic blahblahblah
.. and then their fellow friends recovered but need to adjust their life because they have been numb for the past 10 years..

whuuut?! .. I seriously didn't know Nori can actually release the Kizuna system and give back her fellow friends their pain.
So THAT NORI is actually the cause that their friends became numb/emotionless for 10 years just because she is afraid that she couldn't connect with people..

Also, after all the chaos, nobody actually get arrested.

I would say the front part is pretty enjoyable. After that, I really don't get it..

All's well when it ends well~ Despite Nori-chan causing city wide chaos due to not wanting to be lonely, she got her shit together before everything's gone to the Gomoris thanks to Kacchon giving her a good talking to.

I'm surprised that Noriko's actually able to return everyone's pain by dismissing the Kizna system all by herself. If she wasn't so warped about the whole sadistic pain is what binds us and the Kizna system is the only way to connect, she could've prevented this a long time ago.

The ships have been salvaged. Maki x Yuta took me by surprise considering I waited so long. The I want to make you fat line was satisfying af.

I'm looking forward to Chidori and Nico's fistfight for Tenga. Hisomu's still an enigma :3

Sonozaki's smile was a lovely detail to conclude the series <3

Shes literally Kei from Ef A Tale Of Memories ,literally the exact same character. Even the story progression she has is exactly the same as in EF,and also how they both get "pawned off" at the end to another male character after they get rejected by the MC ,just because.

It blows my mind they can even get away with blatantly doing stuff like this.

Finally finished this after i initially dropped it at episode ten. Man god tier character designs, beautiful aesthetic across the board, good animation and every girl is a qt. Mari Okada had the building blocks for something really special, and she fucking butchered it. The premise was shit from the go, and could only lead to angsty unearned melodrama. Agreed about both couples. Yuta (I assume you meant Yuta, not "Yuki") and Honoka got quite a bit of set up as a couple, and Honoka herself was one of the few to get proper character development. It was nice to see that pay off. Meanwhile, I didn't really care about Sonozaki or Katsuhira either - and even Chidori was a pretty one-note character (though she did get some character development in the form of her "mothering" everyone), but I preferred her over Nico, who I often found annoying and who received virtually no character development. Tenga was by far my favorite character. (I guess Hisomu was just sort of there in the show... He basically does nothing except serve as comic relief, but even then the show just keeps making the same one joke about him over and over. Occasionally he serves to help Katsuhira come to some insight, I guess.)

All in all, the show was okay. Nothing terrible, nothing great. There were some good moments.

This show was absolute trash. I don't know what Okada was thinking when she wrote the script for this shit but the end result was a glorified shipping anime carried by a weak, stereotypically gender-coded main cast with poor characterisation and trying to deliver one of the most inane and painfully on-the-nose messages about love and friendship I've had the displeasure of hearing in years.

The only saving grace of this shitshow was Mari's mini-arc, the rest was unfiltered garbage only good for the sewer of a writer it came from. 4/10, counting the extra point I gave it for looking really nice. Trigger can do better than that.

Very sloppy writing, the "big finale" was contradicting itself (um didn't they say they could only keep people connected for a limited time) and the experiment kind of failed super hard?? What is wrong with blue haired girl for wanting to inflict that on everyone. Idk how she survived the first fall and how the apathic mc fell in love with emotionless heroine but ofc he did. Did not care for them at all. Predictable, bland, sloppy messy writing, no char development/bg for half the cast, really nothing special.

They sure spent the whole thing focusing on katsuhira and nori's happiness and forced up tenga x chidori as something more of a sencond choice and threw aside Nico and Hisomu. I don't say Katsuhira and Nori didn't deserve it since they were built with a a dramatic background, but as one of the characters, they're being focused on too much that it starts to hurt me thinking about my best girl (Nico) and other interesting characters_whose interesting bg just got thrown away to be something else to boost the 2 main. Btw, nori, besides having a very dramatic bg, she just happens to turn into something that i can'r bare. The one that understands nothing and take others' feeling for experimentation and stuff. And you know what, turns out she got all the forgivance and love at the end, from everyone, as easily as i could never imagine.

Though it may have been a good one, all of the characters got a lot of potential. But they did not get developed. And as far as the series go on, the more the plot get messed up. And that shipping scene in episode 8 was so forced because there was rarely any progress before that (except for katsuhira and nori). After that comes episode 9 as a result of episode 8. And episode 10 was the most disappointing. I felt that she was just trying to end the whole thing. They did bring up a very good subject, but failed to even take decent care of it til the end. My best girl is Nico who just tends to hide her selfish feeling to befriend everyone, who cherished others and she got thrown aside like trash. Also hisomu, some may say not every char needs to lead a tramatic past but since this is all the project is about, i think they just gotta develope something further in every char. It just ended up so messy and fucked up... katsuhira and nori are the only 2 who are focused on but according to what happened then i just felt like they didn't deserve it and i had to try hard thinking about all the details and persuading myself to actually forgive their happiness.
