Well it was surprisingly a decent finale. I still feel this is Kiznaiver: the animation of common sense friendship dynamics. And I can't shake that now at the end.

Personally that little remark is the main detraction from the show. Can't help but feel all the revelation is so common sense when building relationships is the topic that it makes the whole show scream duuuuuhhhhhhh. But I guess what makes this story work is it is a collection of odd balls who are either socially inept or are unknowingly selfish.

Beginning was good, everything up the finale escalated up to a struggle to watch, and the finale did a good job wrapping up this original tale.

I'll give it to Trigger that they aren't afraid to do "new" things and for the most part are pretty successful at doing them. It's a big plus that everyone loves their style. The pairings at the end were welcomed, everyone seemed to mature, and all is happy. Not a great show but a fairly decent one.

How the fuck did Sonozaki and Katsuhira ended up in the hospital when they're both seemly fine after getting out of the water?

This isn't the best Spring 2016 Anime but it definitely is my favorite. I just felt real connected to this anime somehow so I may have liked it more than I should've. It was one hell of a roller coaster ride. I'm so glad my OTP was able to keep on sailing Honoka x Yuta FTW!!! My Chidori x Kacchon ship though... And Nico-chan FFS! I mean I'm glad she was happy in the end but urgh. I think the Nico x Hisomu ship gets to sail after all.

I'm quite sure I didn't make a mistake in giving it a 9/10 rating. It's a rather unique anime for me (like Mayoiga which was a train wreck I enjoyed watching from beginning to end). I was able to sympathize with every character (yes, even their asshole of a teacher; he just wanted to get results). I know when the characterization is a failure when I fail to sympathize with the characters.

Definitely my favorite Spring 2016 Anime

Well, I thought that was a nice ending and I liked the episode and all, but I'm a little disappointed with how this episode went at the same time.

In any case, I'll give this a 7. I enjoyed this anime overall. :)

Ha the majority of people are talking bad against the show. Kinda funny because I'm usually the person doing that because the majority of anime I've watched have had bad endings in my opinion and this was one was perfect. I loved it. 10/10 bitches. I shipped Agata and Sonozaki from the beginning while everyone else is hating on them. I was hating on Chidori but I'm glad she turned herself around, shes still annoying though...

Let me ask this question for you all...

In your opinion, was Chidori able to redeem herself with these 2 last episodes?

In my opinion, yes, I apreciated the fact that she realised her own selfishness and beggan trying to move foward by doing stuff such as helping her crush save his crush (lol that sentence). In the end, all I can say is that I liked was they have done with her character, and yes, it could've been better, but it was good enough for the time spam they had to work with...IMO of course...

Actually saw an interesting article about how Kiznaiver portraits homosexuality ( the situation around Honoka and Ruru ) as an disease or death itself and how the show tries to sell you heterosexuality as the answer or "medicine" to it.

I think the lacking development/backstory about the characters like the here mentioned Honoka gave fuel to opinions like those. While I can see where this person is coming from I doubt Mari herself or the staff had any intention to do such a jab.

im glad Luluco and Nova made a cameo appearance in this show lol

and glad i was wrong then that Sonozaki have no control on how to let go of others feelings, so i thought she was gonna die or sacrifice herself on this last episode to give back the emotions she absorbs from others but lol it looks like talk therapy is all its needed for her to let go of all the emotions of others

nice series overall

Sonozaki ended up being the worst character in this anime in my opinion. She was a psychopath and all it took was Katsuhira to say "give me my pain back"...AGAIN
To develop 2 maybe 3 of the characters and then shift the attention to Sonosaki planed sucked in my opinion.

Still a great series, and it produced some great characters, Nico, Honoka, and Hisomu were fantastic.

The Art of Shipping is no mere game. It can be small skirmishes to huge nation size wars.
Of course some will claim their ship is the BATTLESHIP but they all do. This is why battles occur because of factions fighting each other to justify their favourite ship.
And thus SHIP to SHIP combat occurs almost anytime even now.
Beware, Threading into the Shipping battlefield will be bloody.... What are you waiting for?

Anime was pretty good,I'm still interested if Chidori got over Katsuhira.
Anime is 9/10 for me I like whole series but ending was bit off, feels like they've rushed it cause they made 12 episode anime.13-14 episodes would've been nice, but cause it's not coming I'm expecting at least some OVA,but I would like more 2nd season or movie.

I'm sorry, but that just seems to be trying too hard to see something that's not there. Was there even any point in the show where someone said the girl's feelings were "wrong"? In fact, Honoka's arc tells us that she didn't respond to Ruru's feelings simply because she was scared to get hurt when she'd die, and Ruru's last message to Maki was completely positive. Doesn't sound like there's any need for medicine there.

Nice finale, can't say best anine of the season, but still its a good anime and I'm sure a lot like this anime. Can be recommend but not for everyone. The concept is good, the characters are likeable, the development isn't great though. Felt bland in some episodes but still its relevant to the story. Appreciated and enjoyed the anime. 7/10

I had semi-high hopes for this series, but it never delivered what I was hoping, thus my overall disappointment with it.... A neat concept that never reached (or was developed to reach) its full potential, imo.

I’d be lying if I say that I didn’t enjoy some of the character interactions and their unfold drama. The series never hit me in the heart and the pairings weren't of my liking, but it was still enjoyable to some degree. The ending felt rush though.

I ended up liking Sonozaki x Kacchon anyway. Tbh I did ever since she said "I love you, too, Kacchon" in the previous episode.

Honoka too seme for Yuta, I like it B)

And I guess Tenga x Chidori has some chance, and I'm okay with it. and Nico is too damn nice. Why is she such a good person too precious

The last Nori x Agata scene was good, Nori is pretty aggressive. Also her smile is back <3 I like ships with girls like that

Hmmm I'm not sure about the rating tbh. It's 7/10 I guess. but I kinda like this ending and would like to rate it a bit higher... Okay I will overrate it for now and change the score later if I deem it suitable. Good ending.

Thank god it's over.

To be honest, I had a lot of high hopes for this show. The premise showed a lot of potential paths it could have taken, and it did not take any of the good ones. If they had chosen a different director and scriptwriter, maybe it would have been better? It was okay, but not as good as it could have been. Take out the unnecessarily forced romance, Chidori melodrama, badly written scenarios and put in a plot, and it'll be better than what it was.

At the very least, it was pretty to look at most of the time.

Kiznaiver is a show that wants to be very profound, striking and complex, yet ends up being merely fake-pretentious with forced melodrama, typical Okada character writing and no real plot in sight. It uses the premise to forcefully have characters interact and have FEELS and problems, but it does not feel natural.

Because the show's understanding of "psychology", "emotions" and "relationships" is very juvenile and under-developed to the point that you could convince me they were thought up by 12 year old highschooler emo girl who writes edgy poems on tumblr.

You just summed up my problems with this show. They really needed to consult with an actual psychologist to get this shit to be convincing enough.

I don't know how they did it but they ended it in the best way possible, the ending was perfect.
I am not sad that Chidori hasn't stayed with Katsuhira, he really likes Sonozaki and as it seems she is feeling something for Tenga xD
Tenga is actually a very nice guy ahahah
And let's not forget about this smile xD

In the end, i can definitely say that Niko was one of the best characters.
Katsuhira's friends are recovering, that's so good to know that they managed to save them. So happy omg xD
Oh almost forgot, what Honoka told to Yuta, was super funny ahahahaha his reaction was precious.
I couldn't be happier with such a great ending.
It was a good run, 8/10.

Oh and let's not forget about the best squad ;)

I think the ending was good for the time allotted.

In my opinion, I think it would've been better as like an extended 45-50 minute special episode. Since I think they only real "rushed" part was the finale finale after the bridge scene.

Though for the time constraints it wasn't bad. And the didn't rush the post bridge scene with an inexplicable time skip where all of a sudden everyone is in a good place. They continued the next scene basically right after the bridge incident. Everyone was still basically getting their footing back; Kacchon and Nori weren't even out of the hospital, the kids from the first experiment are now just beginning to regain a normal sense of functionality. Tenga and Chidori are working things out between them while Chidori and Nico are still trying to get past those last emotional hurdles.

I'm glad they didn't just go "...6 months later..." and boom everybody is all a happy-go-lucky and back to 100%.

Idk, this show gets like a 9/10 from me though. I know it seems like a lot of people were a bit let down of disappointed by the end of the show. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like I just understood exactly what direction Trigger was trying to take with this show and what kind of things they were trying to portray, and it just kind of clicked with me and I thought they did a good job with it.

This was an enjoyable anime for me from start to finish.
Sure it had its flaws, but it was nowhere as bad as Mayoiga.
This was my favorite anime this season, so I'm very sad to see it go.
I loved all the characters individually, and when they hurt I hurt.
Great anime, 9/10 for me.

Finally, it ended! Well for me it's a good anime with good characters and nice idea of the story.

After seeing this last episode, i started to ship Katsuhira x Chidori (again). Because the way Katsuhira saved Sonozaki reminds me of the way Chidori confessed to Katsuhira in episode 1.. Yeah, i think they're have some similarities..

I give 7/10 for this show.

Ah, Hisomu is the best character for me (because he is very wise and mature), while my personal best girl is Chidori, though Nico is good too.

Like three times Nori tried jumping off something... I don't 100% understand what happened at the end but hey, it works, I guess. I'm just glad to see the ships come together at the end. And it was also nice to end the series with Nori's smile, contrasting the one she had in Kachon's flashback.

Well, that was... okay. I didn't love it, but it definitely didn't live up to the hype. The only things I really ended up liking were YutaxMaki sailing and Nico's development. And Hisomu was a pretty interesting character too. But Nico was annoying at first, but grew to be much more likeable in my opinion. She's a lot better than most high school girls at least. And the YutaxMaki scene was pretty damn cute. That's all that I really have to say.

Probably a 7/10 for me.

Amazing in its own way. I found its ideas to be basic, but inherently powerful, and they are explored pretty beautifully, with deliberate framing, creative shot compositions, incidental character dialogue and interactions. Despite the nonsensical science fiction segments, Kiznavier feels awfully human to me.

Also, a final goodbye to the show's goddess:

Above average finale. Agata got his feelings back, Nori-chan finally lets all the pain go and most likely will try to connect with others by normal means. The children from the past also got their emotions/pain back and is starting to act normal again. All the ships have sailed as well. FULL ENDING SONG! Yay! I loved the ED to this show a lot. It's up there with Re:Zero's ending song and Kabaneri's.

Nori-chan finally smiles and it was cute, but how is she not in trouble? She practically held a city hostage by attempting to force the Kizna system onto them....She also turned off the city's power and destroyed a bridge. Oh well.

This series was fun to watch, finale was rushed and it was hard to root for Katsuhira and Sonozaki considering they had a personality of a brick.

A generous 8/10 for the concept of the Kizna, the comedy of the 1st half, the soundtrack was great and I really enjoyed Honoka's story. Some of the dramatic moments in this show was a hit or miss for me.

I was also able to connect to the characters in this finale! Except I wouldn't want to be friends with any of them...except for Nico. She was great.

While the story was alittle bit messy at times, the characters made this anime a gem. This is one of the best executed anime when it comes to character development.

For a scenario who came very late into play, they sure tried hard to end it decently (not that I had any interest in it). The bridge scene was pretty and felt less theatrical than the "famous" rain scene, pretty good despite Sonozaki's lack of repartee.
The epilogue looked kind of stupid thanks to the sudden useless pairings of friends in an episode who was so focused on friendship.
3/5

Visually appealing. Overdramatizing egocentric ~15year old characters discovering empathy and friendship. No actual story (they just tried too late to make one to "fix" the series).
Score: 5/10

I am glad this didn't come out when I was in middle or high-school, I would have hated the show for the lost investment. But as a TV/simulcast show, I am able to have only disdain for it.

@Fappa I hope that means Trigger people will come up with the story themselves on their original projects (rather than commissioning some over-present independent writer). On the other hand, a big failure leads to money losses and it could lower their abilities.

Well, it was about as good as I could expect, I guess. I probably didn't care for it as much because I just didn't care about Sonozaki, as Nico put it, "no matter how tragic she is". I still ended up loving most of the supporting cast, however, which made it a little more disappointing that we didn't get much more interaction out of them during this final arc (though we did get a few great moments at the end). And still a little disappointed we didn't find out more about Hisomu or even Tenga's backgrounds. But from a personal standpoint, there was also a lot of things I enjoyed about this series (including that amazing OP) so at the end of the day it'll probably be a 7 from me.

overall 7/10 and please no need for season 2 nor spin-offs. A fan-service OVA is welcomed though.

i dont think kacchon and chidori will go well though. chidori deserve better guy haha
