| Hi there! Maybe it's a change in the add user code but when I try to add a friend's profile to the graph, it just returns me to the index page without the queued user message. The same happens in my own hosted copy of graph.anime.plus, also notice that the queue-users.lst is empty. It happens randomly though. Edit: Is something related to a browser extension, tried in a clean Firefox and works as it should. |

| Should've posted in here instead of in the club comments lol. Anyway, to quote what I wrote in the club: Is there a way to fix the mismatches for re-watches? I thought that is only for observing any discrepancies between the number of episodes you updated before it's completed and the newly updated number of episodes/chapters from the database mods - which means that it informs me that there's a new update and that I have to put the entries back into watching/reading list instead. Re-watches are intentional in terms of ep miscounts compare to the total number of eps, since you still finished it, just that you are watching it again after completing it. So I find it's useless to see mismatches for re-watches. |

| Hello. I noticed that graph.anime.plus shows the same amount of chapters as MAL (6,915) for my account, however the number of episodes on graph.anime.plus is 11655 as opposed to 12,306 on MAL. What is going on here? Does it not include rewatches or something? But then the number of chapters should differ too since I've reread some stuff... |

| Hello, I have a problem concerning the Mahou Shoujo Achievement. :) A few days/weeks ago, I had the Level 2 Achievement, but now, I'm back to the level 1. It seems that all the Shakugan no Shana series that I've seen don't count anymore, but if I read the other posts on this topic and if I look at the anime list for this achievement, they are supposed to count. Am I the only one with this problem? |

He only has hentai, no ecchi, and there are still around 300 hentai which he has not yet completed. Boku dake ga Inai Machi does not seem like it should be the top recommendation for a person like this. http://graph.anime.plus/zombie_pegasus/recommendations,anime Here's my own recommendation list. I mostly watch CGDCT as well as magical girl anime. Neither of these show up in the recommendations list and somehow battle shounen show up. If you recommended me Ichigo Mashimaro or Tokyo Mew Mew even though I may still not watch them I would still be content that you understand my taste. If it's really that hard to program in a full fledged useful system as accurate as humans are, you could just borrow MAL's user recommendations and give people recs based on what has been recommended to their favourite anime or their highest rated anime. You can read my interpretation of how recommendations work here but to answer your questions: The reason Mr. Hentai here has no hentai recommendations is because the algorithm includes 50 "static recommendations" found here where if they are not in your top certain number (probably somewhere between 200 and 500) their unweighted MAL score is used as a base score instead of their recommendation score. Hentai, in general, do not get many recommendations on MAL (except for the really popular ones which he probably already has on his list) so the weight for the ones that he could like would be really low given that he has a really low mean. As a result they would most likely go to a number such as: 7.15. Since hentai very rarely has recommendations for normal shows (there are a few such as One Punch Man and The Rapeman which is how he was able to get rid of that one) they would most likely have no recommendations and use their MAL score instead and still their MAL scores are mch bigger than 7.15......... (You also have some of these on your list like Food Wars. The reason that your number 1 recommendation is Yu Yu Hakusho is because you have Hunter x Hunter on your plan to watch list. The way the algorithm works is that if you have a show on your list and it isn't scored, then it uses its MAL score as an expected value (as sort of an expected value I guess? I guess they're like "MAL users gave this show a 9.15 so you probably will too" or something and is mainly used to give recommendations for scoreless lists I guess?). Since Hunter x Hunter's score of 9.15 is higher than all, but three of the scores on your list you are likely to get recommendations that have a high amount of MAL recommendations for such as Yu Yu Hakusho and Dragon Ball, hence why you have those two on your list. You also gave Fullmetal Alchemist a 9, have FMA:B on your list (MAL score 9.25) and dropped Gurren Lagann without scoring it (Mal score 8.8) which are very high scores and not many other shounen anime on your list which is why you have a large amount of shounen anime on your recommendations list as nothing is there to weigh it down unlike your preferred genre where you've given things from there (such as K-on!) a very low score. I think what they were trying to go for was recommending things that you enjoy, but haven't already seen a lot of (like you are missing all these opportunities or something) so they see that you gave FMA a 9 and see that you really enjoy shounen, but have not seen many of them so they recommend you more that are similar to FMA and see that maybe you haven't watched many space anime or don't like many, so maybe Space Battleship Yamato will change your mind. I agree that the recommendation algorithm is a bit dumb, like why they think I'd give Clannad After Story, Gurren Lagann and Usagi Drop as high as MAL does even though my MAL score deviation is -1.00, which is why understanding it helps me to determine which ones are legitimate and which ones I have to wait to see how much I'd like it. |

| So I've been trying to generate a graph for my profile for over 6 hours now, and every time I get to position 1 it just stays there and does nothing. After a short while I'll get bumped up to position 8-12 and the cycle just continues. I've tried three different browsers and even asked a friend to try it for me with no results. I used the site in the past when my username was SophiaLT16 and it worked perfectly. Do I need to change my username back or is there some method that I'm supposed to follow to update it? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I couldn't find anywhere else to ask. |

| Okay, so I had the same problem that I couldn't update it. And changed both of my lists to public. It appears that it has problems to update private lists. If you change your list to public, it will update quickly. |

| I had the same problem for about 1.5 weeks but setting both my lists to public solved it (one was still private). Strange that this wasn't a problem 2 weeks ago when my unused manga list was private. |
