| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The animation quality is kinda meh but the world fiction looks nice overall so far. I thought the intro felt kinda quick though in terms of pacing? Eh, and anyways, Makio seems like a cute girl to watch. It didn't take long for the prince with the lance to save her so I suppose they have some on-screen chemistry already. One thing that impresses me slightly about the episode is the usage of the fantasy OST. Might take some time to get used to Makio's voice though. However, I like the OP theme song on most parts. Decent first episode. Not a strong impression but not too shabby either. They also introduced more characters than I had expected hmm. I also think Makio is expecting a bit too much from her "Hero-san" lol  Seems like the show does have a serious side though and I'll give Makio some credit for being brave. | Loli, ojoosama, maid, pony (that's a new one), blonde, high school girl and possible sister. Is it necessary to set in a contemporary world? Won't it be more fun if our protagonists are just fooling around in a fantasy land? Because you can't do crazy unrealistic things in our supposedly "current world". That's why we call it fantasy, it should be imaginative and unbound to real world logic. Get the basic right man. |

| the action scene in the second half really showed how the animation quality is mediocre at best. maids and lolis do absolutely nothing for me. might give a next episode a try but most likely will drop it cause its not much the show is offering to keep me interested. |
| Not bad for a first episode. Yotaro seems chivalrous to a fault, while Makio's a talking, walking ball of adorable. No word on why those goons tried to abduct her....a ransom maybe? Yuhua and Yotaro's group all seem nice enough so far too. |

| Been keeping an eye our for this series since it was first announced and that was over nearly 2 years ago. A decent start to say the least.....the animation is good and i like the soundtrack that has a mix of classical fantasy..but with a difference. the atmosphere i got from the first episode..is that it feels as a cute...comedic and sweet..with a tinge of action and a lot of moeness. so we have a knight...a kid.(can't see her like that)...A blondy...a horse girl( at different approach to a cat girl finally) and 2 maids ( double the fun.)... Good start....if it stays at least this level throughout its entire run..it is a keeper..but not a high profile series unless it gets more serious |
So we have an MC who suffers from the White Knight Syndrome. His compulsion to help random strangers is probably going to get him into a lot of trouble.  Best thing about the 1st ep for me was the background art so I'll most likely be skipping this, especially if it doesn't improve by the 2nd or 3rd episode.  |

| So the first of Fall 2015 is here! Decent start. Love the OP theme. Must say I first got into this coz of Ari Ozawa & Daiki Yamashita, and the theme haha. If anyone says to me "Chivalry is dead" again, I can always ask them to watch this. Will be applying the 3 episode-rule to this and see how it goes.  Probably 9 out of 10 women will call him a pervert for his actions/mannerisms, but as long as there's one out there who's impressed by it, its still worth it! |

| Yotarou's chivalrous manners were cringy AF! "When I heard your piercing scream, I felt as though my chest would burst." I wish it would.. literally. >.< I can already see how quickly he'll be conquering these lolis and maids with his cheap heroic conducts. All he has to do is deliver some White Knight-like lines and a kiss on the hand. To satisfy his harem further, he might also have to pierce them with his lance.. in the down-south. Terrible start. The soundtracks were the only thing that was somewhat decent. Rest were embodied with a shitload of cliches. |

| The music in this has a historical sort of melody and the anime is complete opposite of that. A Knight and a magical horse in a city? The Hell? And why is every character here is like 7 years old, even Yotaro's father looks like a teen in his twenties, lol. It's evident that this is some sort of a parody. The animation is cheesy but that's expected of a low budget show like this and from a small-time studio that we've probably never heard of. This anime is mostly just to sell the manga/novel. With this, a promising Fall season is underway but Lance N' Masques promises nothing at all. |

| My thoughts about this first episode: Okay, animation style was just fine. I just hope they improve it on the next episodes. The OP song was good and the ED too. Andd both the animation of OP and ED was just fine. Anyway, I guess I'll keep watching this for the meantime. Or till the end?! |

| This doesn't exactly seem like the most unique thing ever, but it wasn't too bad for a first episode and it seems like there's a possibility it might go somewhere interesting. The OP theme is pretty decent, but the ED is pretty generic. |
| This episode was pretty average to me, for some reasons I felt like the events happening in this ep where all over the place and leaded in the end to nothing. I do hope there's a serious side to this show and it'll be revealed in the early eps instead of the latter eps... I'm not gonna drop it thought as I'm interesed about this. |

| That was fast, it took this show just 1:22 to make me judge it as a garbage I don't want to see and another 5 to convince me I was right. I like series so bad you don't need to watch a whole episode, let alone 3 to drop it without a second thought. It saves time. |

| The "white knight syndrome" is taken as a joke, don't get out just because you want to puke from the first 90 seconds. About animation quality, I don't know where you're watching it, but I think it's fine. Much better than Toei anyway. |
| I do laugh at people saying "Lackluster character designs" ... how? Because one of them wears a traditional maid uniform? 10/10 critique. But aye, was a good enough wee episode. Nothing ground breaking but nothing really had been revealed so don't get people jumping to conclusions already, but I guess that's the anime community for you. Maiko is a pretty cool wee character and I really like the horse gal, especially in the ED clip of the next episode. Would worth a watch if you like cute shows or comedy shows. Don't imagine this anime will get too serious in tone at any point but who knows what we'll learn about Maiko? Edit: Side note. Ari Ozawa is in everything this year it seems and is often voicing the best/my favourite character. Kurumi in Gakkougurashi, Papi in Monster Musume, Wakabe in Wakabe Girl and Mizuki in Classroom Crisis. She's great. |

| It's cute, not a bad first episode. The art-style looks familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. I was proud of myself for recognizing Daiki Yamashita as Yotarou, so if the show starts to falter, I'll at least have him to keep me going. |
