Beulah was a band and "died" means that they disbanded? And Craig is actor and his personage in some movie died at sea but he himself is still alive irl?

Ehh... So better a disbanded group than a dead person, that's why?

Well first part I am not sure of o.o; but the end is more possible...

It might be that Beulah stands for smth else, ehhhhh same for Craig ^^; but in the end I will leave my answer as:
Cuz Craig isn't actually dead

Yeah, greenwillow's thoughts are a great help!
I think they are both typhoons..
Beulah i.e. the typhoon died in Appalachians i.e. the mountains where huge destruction was caused whereas
Craig i.e. the other typhoon's death happened in a sea; so no destruction was caused. That's why citizens were 'much' happier with Craig's death.
Am I correct?

If you were tempted to see the answer and 'accidentally' saw it, then try to solve this version 2.

This is an attempt to solve problem 2.

Lets order them by ages using 1-5 (5 being oldest)

5 Pirates remain
5 will propose 97 gold coins for himself and 1 for each of the other 4 (except 1). Therefore they will throw him overboard.

4 Pirates remain
4 will propose the that he gets 98 gold, 3 gets 1, 2 gets 1 and 1 gets 0. Because the pirates are aware that if they throw 4 overboard only 3 pirates will remain and only 2 with voting power. In that situation, 1 will receive all the gold, therefore 3 and 2 will accept the proposal.

At the end of the day:
5 gets 0
4 gets 98
3 gets 1
2 gets 1
1 gets 0

Whoops - I misread the 50% thing.
In my first post it should have been 1 getting 1 gold and 2 getting 0, 3 getting 1 and 4 getting 98.

If all pirates live, then:

Pirate 5 will split it such that at least 2 will vote for him.

He foresees the event I mentioned above and proposes that he gets 97 gold. Because in the situation that 5 will be overthrown like stated above, 1 will get 1, therefore he is happy with 2. Now this leads to pirate 4 getting 0 because he will deny the proposal unless the value is greater than 98. Therefore, for Pirate 5 to live, pirate 3 will receive 1 gold as pirate 2 will always deny in order to get 100 gold.

At the end of the day:
5 gets 97
4 gets 0
3 gets 1
2 gets 0
1 gets 2

Here's a riddle.

A doctor in a top-secret research lab has had an impressive breakthrough in medical research. The doctor creates tablets which increase the rate of an human's regeneration speed immensely, enough such that losing both your legs you would survive if you swallowed the tablets. The doctor created 2 tablets, which are coloured red and green, for the tablets to work correctly you must swallow 1 red and 1 green tablet, taking only 1 tablet will have no effect, taking 2 of the same tablets (or more) will kill you in under 1 minute. The doctor, tells you to take the tablets to the reproduction facility. He gives you 2 red tablets and 2 green tablets and says to you, they're for insurance in case for whatever reason you lose one. Soon after leaving the lab, terrorists strike, instantly killing your guards and immediately start raiding the lab. They rush past you, not knowing that you were carrying the tablets. In the attack, one of your arm goes numb from a bullet, and both your eyes are cut out from the broken glass. Having one arm left you open the case carrying the tablets, but you cannot see which one is which color, how do you ensure that you can survive by swallowing 1 red tablet and 1 green tablet?

Einstein's riddle:

The situation

- There are 5 houses in five different colors.
-In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
-These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
-No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?
Given :

the Brit lives in the red house
the Swede keeps dogs as pets
the Dane drinks tea
the green house is on the left of the white house
the green house's owner drinks coffee
the person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
the owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
the man living in the center house drinks milk
the Norwegian lives in the first house
the man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
the man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
the owner who smokes BlueMaster drinks beer
the German smokes Prince
the Norwegian lives next to the blue house
the man who smokes blend has a neighbor who drinks water

The norwegian has the fish.

I can't paste it here but:
In order of 1st to last

Norwegian - Fish
Dane - Horses
Brit - Bird
Swede - Dog
German - Cat

@El-Psy_Congroo, no need to assume repetition of each organ lost, since the question is how many lost 1 of each of the organs mentioned (an eye, a leg, an arm and an ear) totaling in a loss of 4 parts of their bodies.

1. Can I assume that the objects you mentioned are in Earth ?If not where is it?
2. Is the gravitational force constant throughout the area where the objects are placed?
3. In your question, by "weight more" what do you mean, do you want to compare the Mass or the Weight of the objects?

A pound is always a pound no matter what it is composed of

In his question he mentioned weight more, he could be comparing weight of the objects not the mass.
A pound of gold would weight differently in moon or in a place where there is a different gravitational force

Weight is calculated by mass * gravity, so no matter how you put it, a pound of feather and a pound of gold will always weigh the same no matter where you are

Weight is not the same everywhere, change in acceleration due to gravity changes the weight. 'g' is not constant everywhere. I was indicating the scenario where objects are at different places, one at moon or a place with different 'g', another at earth. I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear.(Question 2 of my post)

Lol Please don't mind me, it was a simple question, so thought of complicating it.

... What?

The question specifically states "one pound of gold" and "one pound of feathers". It weighs exactly the same: one pound. If the gold is at Earth and the feathers are at the moon, then there are simply way more feathers than there would have been in Earth. There is no way to complicate this. Once the weight is set to X, you can't simply say "Oh but in another dimension maybe it's Y??"

You Sir are confused with Weight and Mass.
Mass doesn't change. Weight changes.
Weight is the force on the object due to gravity.
Mass is a measure of how much matter something contains.

Yes, weight changes, but the riddle states that we are analyzing one pound of gold and one pound of feathers. If you transport them to the moon, they will weight the same. They will always weight the same no matter where you taken them unless the gold or the feathers were under a different gravitational field from the start of the riddle, which is not stated.

Let's say your mass is 50kg here, you will have a Weight=50*9.8(N)
But when you go to moon your mass doesn't change, but you will have a Weight=50*9.8/6(N).
Weight of the object changes, not the Mass.
They weigh the same but don't have same Weight(Force), if that makes it clearer?
See my previous posts, from the beginning I differentiated Mass and Weight. So whenever I mentioned Weight it implies the Force.
Please understand that I used a wordplay here.
