| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Another chapter where barely anything happens. Oh well I was expecting more after the one week break. I'm really hoping that we get to see Fujitora do something next week! Good for Rebecca reuniting with her father. Don't care for Rebecca but I've always liked Kyros :) Cover with Smoker was also kind of cute :3 |

| I took 8 to 9 chapters after the battle of Enies Lobby to leave Water 7 so it's not a big deal if 6 chapters after Doflamingo's defeat we're still on Dressrosa. The big difference comes from the content of the chapters In the chapters between the end of the battle of Enies Lobby and their departure from Water 7 : - Merrygo said farewell - Garp was revealed as Luffy's grandfather - We learned about the 4 emperors - We learned that Luffy had a father named Dragon - we learned Coby became officer - we learned about the name of the second half of Grand Line - Shanks and Whitebeard had a meeting - all the crew got WANTED posters - they got a new ship - Franky joined Basically every chapter delivered huge informations. Here in 6 chapters we got - Fujitora kneeling - Sabo's past - Kaidou That's not much ... |

Sorry you don't actually care about the story going on now though. End of Arlong Park? Arc closer. Nami steal treasures, runs away to the ship. The end of Alabasta? Arc closer. Say goodbyes, etc etc End of Skypeia? Arc closer. Stole the pillar, left the island. Thriller Bark? Closes with flashback. Drum Island? Cherry Blossoms, they leave. Water 7(and fishman island) is the exception, not the rule. Summit War arcs happened back to back without breather(intentionally I would figure) and specifically was suppose to have a huge effect on the character. |

| Since everyone was rumoring about someone joining I almost had a stroke after I saw Rebecca got her named chapter... She didn't join though, just returned to her father. Everyone thinks it's better this way. Fujitora's coming fast though, just get out of Dressrosa already you stupid pirates |

| So this concludes the story line with Rebecca and Kyros, huh? Nice feels there. It was a lovely ending. This arc is so close to coming to an end! Honestly, I'm hyped for what next arc we would be seeing in the manga but, before that happens, they will have a skirmish with Fujitora before leaving the island. >_> Maybe Oda really plans to finish the entire Dressrosa arc at exactly chapter 800? :s |
| thank god rebecca didn't join. maybe it's just me, but i honestly do not want anyone joining from this arc. Bart, Cavendish and all the others can remain allies, but i hope they don't actually join the crew. |

| Glad Luffy didn't go to ask Rebecca to join the crew. The loose ends with Kyros are now tied up thanks to Luffy. Despite not caring too much about this, it felt necessary. With Fujitora right there, looks like next chapter should be juicy. Also, appears like Law is off doing something potentially huge -- perhaps someway to essentially guarantee their escape. |

| What a lame chapter.. The whole thing about Rebecca's drama just to solve it in 1 panel. haha Luffy start being a damn pirate again and not a dude that is helping families with their problems. Brings himself and the others in danger just for that and doesn't even think a minute about his crew that is gone for awhile. lol |

| Not an incredibly satisfying chapter, especially after an extra week between releases, but it tied up a loose end. Although we do see Fujitora closing in on the Strawhat crew and Bartolomeo . . . this oughta be an interesting next chapter! |

| When I saw cover I thought for a moment that next coverstory will be with Smoker, but it seems it's only one of those requests. So Luffy kidnaped princess once again, huh. Anyway it was pretty nice closure for Rebecca and Soldier-san. I am a little confused about the moment where all soldiers fell on the ground. Did Luffy master conqueror haki to the degree he could knock people out without them being unconscious. Or perhaps it was help from someone else, say for example dwarfs? If Luffy and Fujitora clash next chapter will be intense. Wonder where Law disappeared... |

| I thought we would see some Fujitora action with the way chapter 796 ended. Maybe soon though. Not a great chapter, but nice to see Rebecca work things out with her father. Speaking of Rebecca, what's with all the speculation that she would supposedly join the Straw Hats? Even from the moment she became a central character in this arc, I didn't think for a second that she would join them. Why would she? Every member of the SH crew has their own role (Sanji: cook, Chopper: doctor, etc.), as well as a specific dream they want to fulfill. What role would Rebecca have in the crew? Extra fanservice along with Nami and Robin? And her dream was just to be with her dad. She doesn't need to become a pirate to do that. One Piece is far from being over, and Luffy said he wanted 10 members, so there's still PLENTY of time for a new crew member to show up, and hopefully it's another likable character with (possibly) a cool DF power (that way there would be 5 DF Straw Hats and 5 non-DF Straw Hats). |

| Expected this reception for a chapter centered and even titled Rebecca. Not surprising. Stark700 said: Pretty much how I felt, that quote was so powerful if you think about it. The tiny 1-2 panels of flashback where Rebecca said something she shouldn't have really adds to the drama. Kyros has been suffering for quite a while already, nobody remembered him, even his own child didn't recognize him, and when they did, he still chose to leave them because of his dark past that would shame the royal blood, especially the Riku's family blood. Now that the matter has been resolved, he can finally stay with his child, once again. This time around, he can probably act as a father. (': Kyros is the man!> I'm Kyro's child! Oh the feels ;_; My grip with this chapter though, is how Rebecca had to have someone to tell her whether or not she accepts Kyros' decision of leaving her, and Luffy pretty much had to force her to come out with it. It would have been better if she could have done so herself though. Had Luffy didn't come, she will probably missed out the chance of ever meeting with her father. But I guess, she was conflicted, she probably felt like she had to respect her father's wish, she was holding it all in, until Luffy came and 'let it all out' (FMAB ED). Few tidbits that I liked about the chapter, Luffy's response, "Eheehee! Sure, no problem!" After Rebecca thanked him for helping her, especially her case with her father. Typical Luffy that I love. The entire scene between Rebecca and Kyros. (': The final bits where Bart freaked out when he saw Fujitora, lmao that expression is priceless. Fujitora casually riding on that block, heading toward the crew, that was pretty cool. And of course, the final panel with Luffy, running with all his strength to reach his crew in time, or not anymore. Possible confrontation between Luffy & crew vs Fujitora? Yoooo! It's going down hard, isn't it? :) Edit: I forgot one more scene, Gatz confirmed gunning for the Monkey's D's. Lmao. Edit2: I forgot another one >_>. Where has Law gone to? o_o |

| Quite okay chapter. The interesting part about the Rebecca and Kyros' part was that she wouldn't be going back to the castle. The people would always resent Luffy for that but well, he doesn't really care. Luffy and law are missing and the strongest fighter with Bartolomew is Zoro, even with them both they can't take on Fujitora. No idea how they're going to stop him.
