| I had already read the synopsis to the anime before watching so I knew it was coming - I really liked the lead up to the ending! I could kind of tell somethings were off - the blackboard and the grave/cross on the rooftop garden. One of my friends asked me if this was any good and I told her to go into the first episode blind, without any expectations and not looking it up. Hahaha! She wasn't expecting THAT. |

| first 18 minutes into the anime, thinking "another schoolgirl moe shit.. I guess just finishing the first episode and dropping it." last 3 minutes "wait, why is it so dark all of a sudden? did shitstorm happened?" when the reveal "oh.. okay.. wtf" coming from a non-manga reader, this is a very good episode, and the premise is promising, I hope it's not going downhill from here. |
| That was probably the best first episode I've watched this season. IMO it's not really like Madoka Magica, since PMMM is all about DESPAIR (well it'll probably take this route) and nigh void of comedy. But still, really good. |

I will admit, I was skimming this episode, while I caught that there were some "darker" elements to the characters I thought it was moe darkness, not true darkness (oh look, the 3rd year is kowaii, the shovel girl is a history buff). So when they showed the classroom destroyed, with her friend's choker on the desk, I was all "WTF". See kids, it pays to pay attention, there are clues for the uninformed (point at myself). So very good episode, it does though have me curious as to how they will do an entire cour. A SOL with one character being insane, and the others on defense, is a great concept, but I want to see how the writer makes it compelling over an entire season. I do this too, but I checked the source material after and stop right at the point the anime episode ends. IMO, It is far better than the manga on it's chapters counterpart. It makes you appreciate more the guys and girls behind the screen. Then I remember the director is also the one doing Muv Luv Alternative, damn that one too had a blast at first episode. Lets just hope with better source material he can keep up the thriller. |

| Extremely boring first episode. The twist doesn't make it any less boring. That said, this episode is probably not a good indication of what the rest of the show will be like so I'll keep watching for now. |

| It's quite refreshing that they didn't follow the manga 1:1. I guess they were saving some things for flashback episodes or something later. Also while I prefer the manga "reveal" scene, the adaptation didn't really do that bad. Rewatching a few scenes, that blackboard scene was pretty chillling. |
| So it seems like they folded time and space for the anime version. But giving it a second thought (and a manga rereading), it is possible to explain all those changes while keeping the main story. I am actually happy they animated the "Miki eating properly" scene. On the first episode at that. Must admit that I eat like Yuki though. Not that anyone cares, but, yeah. Having read the manga, the twist at the end wasn't surprising at all. It actually helped me to put more attention into the details and catch the foreshadowing easily. This episode was so-so for me. The first half was too sugary for my taste, so at some point got annoyed by all the cute runs, cute jokes, cute falls, cute pouts, etc. Even though this was an episode about Yuki's POV, I felt like they focused a bit too much on her antics instead of giving a bit more of her school life, even if it was all an illusion. But I will still watch the series. Mostly because of Kurumi and Taroumaru <3. |

| I'm surprised. Non-manga reader and I overlooked the synopsis, I was just looking for a good SoL. Fuck. But this is really interesting. I agree. I think this show is less about the zombies and more about the unsettling environment. Even the other girls seem to be uncomfortable with having to put on the act for Yuki. Miki sure as heck looked troubled when having to pretend there was a class in session. |

I can already see people disappointed or annoyed by Yuki in the second episode because they probably expect something like HOTD, zombies zombies and zombies. I just want to say that this anime will focus more on the psychological aspect of the girls, obviously there will be a lot of zombies but don't expect something like HOTD, expect something depressing, sad and fake SoL. Obviously I am not saying that all are expecting just zombies but I just wanted to warn you guys. (Madoka Magica Level? Probably) |

| Since everyone and their grandma were talking everywhere about the twist I had anticipated SOMETHING of course. I don't know, if the next episode is also cutiepie all the time except a few seconds, I think I couldn't stand it, otherwise it might be interesting. |

| Will be following this one for the occasional horror elements. If they manage to intertwine post-apocalyptic elements in a similar manner (or to a larger extent) to this episode, I'll be satisfied. Still, a bit much moe for my liking. Liked the episode. |
| I think it is a good decision for picking up Masaomi Ando as producer. As much as I hate how Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse story progressed, he knows how to pull suspense and desperation in the air just like it's two first episode. I think this series has good chemistry with his directing style. |

| I liked a lot this first episode. Also liked leerche work so far. As i read the manga i know they changed the order of some events but if they keep the pace of the story they'll be able to explain a lot of things in 12 episodes. Actually, i think it was a good decision to introduce Mii chan now and also taromaru. I just hope they don't change taromaru story in the manga |
| Seems like the entire series is built around this twist. And it's a good twist, all the hints in the background are delicious and give this strong re-watch value, but the 18 minutes beforehand were hard to get through. I just wonder if the series can keep being interesting, now that the main twist is out of the way. Shame it was spoilered for me, but then again, i might not have given it a chance otherwise. |
| I thought this was another CGDCT and then suddenly at the end of the episode we see a lot of dreadful distorted darkness. Vivid subbed this, that is why I'm wondering why they picked this up. At first it questioned me why their group subbed this since the 1st part wasn't interesting at all. But i'm wrong. Vivid really knows what shows they pick. I was a bit sleepy watching this until the middle part and gosh my sleepiness fades away with that scene! Such a sly anime it tricked me! I'm looking forward to this anime. 5/5. Edit: Nope, I didn't read the synopsis and didn't checked the genre tags -> that's why I was also caught off guard...btw, its funny reading a lot of comments -> "another madoka". |

| Holy shit, that fucking plot twist. I serisouly didn't see it coming. Now I understand why there were sometimes broken windows in the background and why they had such a stupid first rule stating that they sleep in the school. I thought that was the weirdest thing ever, but it makes sense if there's zombies outside. |
