Seems like someone choose the opponents for Chad Uryu, and Rukia because of their abilities. Not sure about why for Uryu, but for Chad wish we saw more of their fight but from what we seen looks like they have the same fighting style as for Rukia if it was chosen for her probably was for the psychological reason.

I have never really been a Rukia fan. I hope that this fight makes her interesting.

Rukia is kind of pathetic. She's so easily emotionally manipulated. She really agreed to giving her life as payment for killing Kaien? That was so lame, especially when she knew it was unavoidable, and that Kaien wouldn't have held a grudge. This reminds me of that time she was emotionally toyed with by Captain Gin Ichimaru, on her way to be executed.
