| Reminds me a little of last season's Trinity Seven except the MC isn't an open pervert. Seems like Kirito Thor is already forming his harem. Not a fan of the OP, but the ED is nice. |

| So Kirito Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is like the voice actor of choice for generic harem anime insert magic/plot/etc now? Well, these kind of shows I find fun but never expect much out of em, let alone for them to get anywhere. |
| OK first episode. Pretty generic, but the one redeeming factor is Julie. She's super sweet. The character designs look like cheap version of Asura Cryin'. And the animation was pretty typical all together. I my give it one more ep, depending on how good the rest of FUNi's pics are. 5/10 |

| Hmm... Somewhat entertaining so far. The opening, and especially the ending were nice. I hope the ecchi part of the anime stays as mild as it currently is. Don't really mind if it's a harem though. But yeah, there's really nothing "special" about it. Can't really blame MAL for hating on it, I guess. But geez, it's only the first episode lol |

| Was pretty meh. The video quality was pretty shit for being 720p. I'm sure it would look a lot better on BD. Art quality was decent. Again, probably would've looked better if the video quality wasn't bad. The art in the OP was pretty shitty though. 3D used in the quick beginning fight was atrocious. Hope we don't see too much more of that. Funi subs were just as bad as always. Bishojou now means "cute little thing" and Tooru is now "Thor". Going to be a fun 11 more episodes with those subs. Didn't really care for Julie too much. Found pretty much every other female character more appealing; bunny sensei, dark haired whip girl, and super tits girl next to her. Everything else was pretty standard. Nothing different from any other show in the same genre, so if this your fancy, you'll probably like it. If not, take a hike now before you start complaining later down the road. |

| For a generic series it wasn't half bad, I liked it The MC didn't seem like the typical harem MC and thank god the two girls we pretty much got introduced to the longest aren't the standard Tsundere cliche Other than that the animation and art looked amazing and the action was pretty cool. The plot does raise some questions for me, so I hope that they get answered Glad to hear that it was adapted pretty well too, should be a fun ride :) Also I loveeeeeeeed the OP and ED |
| Ehhh... dropped. If I need to pick this up again in the next few weeks I'll hear the buzz about it. However, I don't see much promise in Absolute Duo. I'm not absolutely in love with the character models either. |

| Just as expected, this looks just like the usual magic school harem/ecchi, nothing new here, generic start, generic characters, etc. I'm getting tired of this formula tbh. If anything, i'm glad the fanservice wasn't as heavy as i expected, but judging from the preview, i don't think it will stay this way for long. I just hope it's better than Trinity Seven. Matsuoka Yoshitsu (Kirito, Sora, Arata) is a pretty damn good VA, sad to see his talent constantly wasted on generic harem/ecchi MCs. Okay start, i wouldn't call it boring at least. Op is cool 3/5 |

Well, Thor is technically what the female MC calls the MC so it's not that far off. However, it isn't what's in the novels though even though "Thor" is mentioned. I would have preferred they stuck with Tooru and used Thor when the female MC calls him. |

| The question is whether this will go the Trinity Seven route or the more bearable one like Madan Ou Vanadis. Although this feels more like Dragonar or that anime about one lone guy in an all-female school entering a competition in order to be granted a wish (I forgot it's title but it's from a few seasons back) Unfortunately the MC is the type who scream every time he sees a half-naked chick *sigh*. I probably won't last till more than episode 2 but I hope it changes. |

| I sort of have a Kirito and Asuna vibe at the first half of the episode since they have the same voice actors Anyway, pretty much a generic start, since I seen a lot of this for its story, characters, and a harem. So nothing to say here, I would say the action and music was really good, especially those OP and ED songs. Damn, I could have pick Imari as the best girl, but then she leaves the school already. Hope she comes back in later episode. |

Its supposed to be like that, Tooru is just the jap pronunciation. This show is based on Norse mythology and the "real" Thor (the god) is even in the OP... Not to mention that Julie is swedish and Thor is a not that uncommon name in Sweden, she even states that its a name from her home country. Norse Mythology? No. In fact this title is leaning more towards science fiction, but I can't explain all that without spoiling the story. The reason "Thor" was even associated with his name was because of the way she says his name in the novel. Apparently her accent makes it sound like she's saying "Thor" instead of "Tooru". Later she tries to name fighting moves for Tooru similar to Lightning God Thor, but that's as far as that goes with the association. To just change his name to Thor isn't correct. |

If I didn't read the novel I would probably try to make the same connections to Norse Mythology, but I just explained that she tries to name his fighting moves in reference to Thor. |
