Gotta say, Sugie taking the spotlight really moved me. It highlights what this series is about - people who are passionate about their work and take rightful pride in it. Finally delivering Exodus actually made me sigh with relief as well, I full well understand what it feels like to have that sudden pay off after so much work. And not gonna lie, that horse chase scene was epic.

Finally an episode I enjoyed watching, after going through a lot of 'meh I don't really care' episodes. Sugie was pretty cool.

sugie led the show to a diff level

wild feels outta nowhere for me, im a sucker for these kind of "everyone working together towards a common goal" thing

great finale for Exodus arc, but i guess still far away from the girls making their own show :/

that horse animation was amazing.
shirobako is just so amazing and exciting! I got so nervous when the anime froze o__o I felt the pressure as they were finishing up Exodus and I felt the relief and overwhelming happiness when they were finished. So gooddd, I feel like celebrating too xD

Great episode, good ender to a good arc! They're definitely ready to start the next project better off than they started out on this one.

This so much. A big part of the reason I like anime so much is this episode, the fact that it's hand-drawn art and not all CGI.

This episode gets a well-deserved 10/10 from me.

Very much this. This is definitely my favorite episode of the series. Sugie arose from bed when Miyamori went to visit the house , gearing himself to undertake this intense challenge.

So epic. :D

-Scene at Sugie's house was pretty cute
-Wait why didn't they do the lessons with Sugie before
-The break room scene with Aoi and Sugie was pretty great
-Man, the delivery day rush was pretty intense
-Everyone at MusAni gathered and the president
-Even Okitsu is fired up with the conclusion of Exodus

Sugie was adorable and there was a distinct lack of hallucinations involving the doll and the bear, which may or may not have been intentional.

Man. I wish that fictional animal show would actually be real.

BTW: The finished horse scene actually looked really mediocre. Have to applaud them for butchering it that badly.

Does anyone know what battleship is the model behind Kanno's purple sofa supposed to be? It's supposed to reference the fact Space Battleship Yamato is Anno's favorite anime.

I found this information in the comment section of this you tube video about some insight for this 12th episode.

Aww this ep was soooo heart warming with Sugie finding new goal in his work 。◕‿◕。 Although Kanno at the begining seemed a bit terrifying... not that I blame him, how can you work in anime industry without ever seeing EVA O_O Pull yourself together Aoi!

It might just be me, but Anno was so well-animated and detailed that he felt a bit out of place compared to the rest of the show 😅

Ahh, I love episodes like this one. This was such a heart-warming episode with everyone working with/under Sugie, him being so happy about still being able to help, Aoi reminiscing about Andes Chucky the whole episode, singing along to the opening, the studio finishing the anime, and then everyone celebrating at the end 😊

It looks like the Bear's "Love Letter" was finally accepted in the ED :D
That must mean we'll be getting a new OP and ED next episode :O

And it seems like a good possibility that Musani will land the job of animating the big franchise of 3rd Girls' Fighter Wing for the next half of this show. I'm excited to see how everything plays out 😃

5/5 nothing beats experience and Teamwork.

I was nervous the whole episode like i am bracing myself for some unexpected problems to suddenly pop up and ruin the whole final episode, thankfully everything work out really well thanks to Sugie-san and Miyamori and the whole team for their passion and teamwork.

I found it funny that the episode was all about finishing the episode in time while keeping the animation quality high. And then we had a sideshow at the end. Loved the episode regardless.

Best episode of the series so far, I really enjoyed that. Sugie the savior, although it wasn't that surprising in a sense given how much he was foreshadowed when it came to working with animation with animals when trying to assist Ema out during her cat struggles. Exodus is finally done with the studio which is a big step for them in the right direction. Still wish Exodus was a more interesting project, or wish that P.A Works went a bit deeper into showcasing what the Exodus project really is about other than show the direction of particular scenes in random episodes - would help in making the work feel a lot more exciting to see the completion of, but regardless, still a really nice episode with good messages and entertainment as a whole. Interesting to see how the 2nd cour handles a newer anime, possible an adaptation of some material compared to how the first cour focused on animating an original work to get the studio and director back in the game after quite some time.

Totally loved this episode! Especially loved Sugie's role in this episode. I was expecting it after reading somebody pointing out that Sugie is probably going to play an important role but didn't realise it was going to be this well done and this heartwarming! It was really really nice to see Sugie who everyone had thought was unable to do anything anymore be the saviour of the production and also get everyone's admiration and respect! And it was great that it seems like he's happy with what happened, finally feeling he's useful again. Loved it!

Great first half. Gotta say it got better and better towards the end, with this final episode (of the first half) being really awesome! Looking forward to seeing what the second half has in store for us.

Watching Shirobako reminds me of when I originally watched Bakuman, but not necessarily in the obvious sense.

Like Bakuman with manga, I intended to watch Shirobako with the expectation to learn about the anime creation process. And, like Bakuman, my initial interest was replaced with my investment with their characters and their relationships. In Bakuman, while I loved the insight into the manga publication process, becoming endeared to the characters made me pay more attention to the creation process, as I wanted to root for them while knowing what was going on.

In the same sense, I was initially overwhelmed by the large amount of characters in Shirobako, but at this point, I can at least remember everyone's faces and roles in the anime production process. Additionally, I now have a better understand of their personalities, along with some of their backstories. With the final episode of Exodus delivered, I was ecstatic watching everyone celebrate, both because I knew how difficult the project was, and because I knew the characters and why the project was important to them.

Lastly, I'm once again reminded of Hanasaku Iroha. Like Hanasaku Iroha, the main characters are all young girls, serving as the cute centers of attention. However, like Hanasaku Iroha, there's a strong supporting cast of adults, specifically of the older generations that have their own unique situations in relation to the main cast. Sugie always seemed so innocuous and invisible, acknowledging that his drawing style may not fit the current generation of moe anime. Still, his experience, technique, and eye for quality are irreplaceable, and I'm happy to see everyone exited to learn from him.

I expected to enjoy Shirobako, but I didn't expect to love it for its characters. I'm greatly surprised.
