Neat, I was thinking about how this would look really good animated. That being said, it's way, way too early to even think about an anime adaptation. The first major arc isn't even over, for christsake. Maybe we're just going to get some web shorts, or the adaptation isn't coming out for at least a year or two. That's what I'd assume, given that no more information has been released.

what others are complaining is why the more popular series in the magazine with more content havent get adapted. while this one is really average as fu*k.
maybe its only to boost sales

Omg are you serious? I like this manga! There's 61 chapters now, I think they should be able to make 26 episodes finishing the current arc by the time?
I want to see Jin in action!

The exact name is Assassination Classroom, which is a great manga and will get anime in future, like everyone else is saying.
Guess the name is too long but still i don't know why people would call it AssClass which sound like a stupid manga with a class full of ass though..

I think JUMP want the lesser popular manga to get adaptations first (like Haikyuu!! and World Trigger). It could be done to increase their ratings to prevent them getting axed too soon. Anime adaptation can make a manga become more popular since some people start reading manga after seeing the anime do well. On the other side, Assassination Classroom already consistently got high ranking in JUMP, so the anime adaptation can be done later. I hope it will get decent animation.

How was Haikyuu! not popular before its anime? It was selling on par with Nisekoi and it had already inspired events before the anime.

No, Haikyuu!! wasn't on par with Nisekoi! It was selling around 50k more than Nisekoi per volume and more than 500k in the entire year of 2013!

It has nothing to do with wanting lesser popular manga to get adaptations!

Haikyuu! is half year older than Assassination Classroom and one year older than Shokugeki no Soma and World Trigger.
It has more than 2 years of released content, is a super popular new series in the magazine! and a really great studio and TV station were interested in animating it. That is the reason why it got an anime before All of the rest.

While World Trigger popularity is way lower than the new popular series in the magazine (Assassination Classroom, Haikyuu!!, Shokugeki no Soma, Nisekoi) it is still Great! Great enough for people to be interested in creating an anime adaptation of it.

But I wish Soul Catcher(S) had gotten an anime instead...

it's really similar to Kuroko no Basket and Haikyuu!! so, Production I.G could probably take it. if they will, they can rotate it like that: Kuroko -> Haikyuu -> Soul Catcher(S) -> Kuroko -> ∞, and never run out of material

That's a bit too early imo. Even this is considered early and it has over 3x the amount of available chapters as Soul Catcher(S).

I hope so. Production I.G doing Soul Catcher(S) would be great.

I agree. It IS early. I think World Trigger is getting its anime a bit too early as well. But I just want Soul Catcher(S) to get an anime too. It would be great to see it animated. But it needs more time, that's for sure.

Actually, NOT. There is already around 50 chapters of Soul Catcher(S), but only 18 were translated. They can easily make a 2-cour season by the end of this year.

Oh I noticed the RAWs just now. 50 chapters so you're assuming a 2 cour adapting about 1 episode per 2 chapters? Idk if that will work. Still feels a bit too early for now. World Trigger still has more chapters too with both manga series' chapters roughly the same amount. I still predict 1 cour or at least a split 2 cour of 13 episodes with a season gap.

Soul Catcher has been ranking pretty low in the jump rankings and is going to be a pretty hard series to make popular. It's an unusual series to see in Shounen Jump since it feels a lot more like a Josei manga. World Trigger at least has been ranking consistently and has the potential to be the next breakout Shounen fighting series, although it seems that it's going to be hard for another Naruto/Bleach to appear.

Yay another giant monsters versus teenagers with a hint of edgy murder in the background shounen anime. We need more of these.

I always see you around the forums constantly talking crap and throwing around buzzwords like 'edgy'. It's kind of irritating.
Granted, this doesn't seem too interesting, but seriously, why the negativity?

I don't understand why people are saying that World trigger is average in ranks. It was on the top ten list several times along with AC and its ranked 22 in total tanks in Japan right now:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-06-18/japanese-comic-ranking-june-9-15/.75698

22 is good considering that the only other series up there are Haikyuu and OP, two other top ranking series.

I personally like this series because it doesn't have the common main character. Yuma seems more like a mc than the actual mc, which reminds me of Kuroko no basketball.

Story description sounds quite generic, yet at the same time this could be quite decent.

Will possibly see first episode on two and decide whether both this and its manga are worth anything.
