It also doesn't say much for the writing that the entire reason she wanted to go to school in the first place is to be with Yuuri and then before the day is out she already forgot about that and now she wants to go to please some total stranger, all the while taking on an activity that would severely hinder her real duties as a god. "Ok this goddess appeared and now we're going to fight evil spirits and she is my wife, but wait, she is now going to a boarding school so i will barely see her at all!" sounds like a pretty crappy plot twist, doesn't it? I also didn't like how her being a god was treated. They don't try to hide it AT ALL and in fact she even points out things like her ears and tail. Then people either brush it off like it is nothing or simply avoid her a bit. Completely unrealistic and shallow reactions from supporting characters. nicely put thats just how i felt after watching this episode i was all ready for her to choose going to school to be with yuuri and live with him but the whole fucking setting changed just like that it would have been better if she would have rejected the invitation or at least show signs of it by saying something like huh yuuri wont be here i dont want that. bs ill still watch to continue it. to she how they the story develops and fix this since we know this was from a game lets she how it developed in the game , but since it was a game its a new story for most people. |

| It sucks that Mashiro had to move out and go to a boarding school. I feel this is just a plot device to stop their relationship from forming too quickly. 4/5 |

| I needed a sick bucket for this episode. Somebody tilted the screen constantly, and in turn, drove me over the edge, grr. That's some rough training there, but wait, can those spirits hurt Yuri, or not? One did spit fire at him, and he reacted, so what gives... Mashiro is full to the brim with knowledge, or does she have a photographic memory cause power? Whatever the case, acing the test isn't always the answer, and look where it got her. That all-girl school would be great in a shoujo-ai setting. Thumbs up there. The transition from I'm glad I was born to utter despair was kind of funny, ngl. Sad episode next, oh the joy. |
