I can't say I was blown away by this last episode, but it did a pretty good job of wrapping things up. The ending was nice:

I thought this was a very satisfying second season. A lot of movement in the storyline, especially in the development of Nodame and Chiaki's relatiionship.

Higedanshaku 髭男爵 (The Bearded Barons) were back again in a very brief cameo! Just before the two older women are talking in the lobby, prior to the performance, you can see the two of them sitting at a table in the background. Their cameos really give me a giggle. XD

Three last episodes were very good, just like eps from season 1.

The last episode - good, but not as good as the last episode should be, not mention that the third season will be reliesed in fall 2009 ;/ I'm totally disappointed.

Wow, such a great series
Very sad to see it end
It was a heart warming ending, kind of showing Tanya's feelings more, too bad it didn't focus more on Nodame and Chiaki when they kissed <3
Can't wait for the next season, going to be ages =[

I think this last episode was really good. However I should agrre with you guys, that this season was much worse than the previous one. There was less humor and music. And the ending wouldn't be a proper ending if I didn't know there will be a next season.

The perfect ending for one of the best shows this seasons. It gave some closure for some of the conflicts, while it also left me with anticipation for the next season.

I was really happy to see the concertmaster and Chiaki actually working together for once. Also is something blooming between Tanya and Kuroki...?

Also in this season I felt Nodame's character really grew as a person making her even more attractive (and cute) then before.

I can't wait for the next season (Fall next year??? Despair >_< ), but I do hope that:

1. They make it a 24 episode season
2. They will include alot more music

Why do people keep complaining about there being not enough music this series? I'm pretty sure Nodame isn't ALL music (and humor) in the manga either although I haven't read, and this arc seemed to be meant to establish the characters living in Paris and define their relationships to each other.

This season did a GREAT job. It wasn't as split-your-gut-laughing funny, there wasn't as much music (but I'm glad they didn't blow the production budget on big orchestra and piano scenes and instead spread it out throughout all aspects of the anime), BUT we saw way more development between of Chiaki and Nodame's relationship in these eleven episodes than we saw in twice as many episodes in the first series. And there was some GREAT music moments, like the conductor competition at the start, Nodame's recital, and Chiaki's first performance with Marlet at the end!

My only real complaint about this series was that the OP theme sucked. Bring back SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITH!

I love Nodame, but I just couldn't love this episode. I really liked it, but this very much felt rushed. If they had extended the episode by maybe 15 minutes so we could get ease into a couple of the allegiances, and the auditions, and the rehearsal, and the performance. I just wanted more, and this wasn't a big payoff at all. With that said, for an 11 episode season, Paris Hen managed to introduce a lot of characters, and tell a pretty good story, and solidfy Chiaki and Nodame's relationship. Somewhere between an 8 and a 9 for me. Can't wait till next year!

I can't say this season grabbed my attention like the original, but it was an accurate sequel. I feel as if it wrapped up the next chapters of their lives together nicely. I agree that the last episode wasn't amazing, but it completed the season well. I would have liked to see a bit more romance in the city of Paris though! ^_^

I couldn't resist my tear flowing out when Nodame played the Mozart at the castle and at the last episode when Chiaki's orche finished the song.
I hope they get more budget for the next season (or whatever the reason why they resulted in only eleven episodes) and make it into a 24 episodes season.

i didnt know what would be come out of this season in paris, i wasnt expecting too much and it wasnt as good as the first season but that doesnt mean it was bad either.
ive liked it because it wasnt just a rushed 2nd season but it could have had more musical parts and i wished for more romance(because paris is called the city of love, if iam not mistaken?)...

overall, this season was pretty good too, it couldnt keep up with the first one but wasnt bad at all! at the end i thought that they had more then enough stuff to do 23eps again but the squeezed all this in 11eps...
the 3rd season definitly needs to have atleast 23 episodes again because this series is just awesome!

Wah~! That was too fast, it's finished already!? I can't say I loved this season as much as the first, but it was still fantastic. I felt it moved a little too fast at some points, and I'm a little disappointed that Chiaki never even spoke to Vieira-sensei, whom he talked about a lot in the first season. I was also hoping that some of the main supporting characters from the fist season would make an appearence as well, but only Kuroki did. He's an awesome character though, so I'm happy he was there even if it was just him. It's very nice to see Chiaki and Nodame in an actual relationship as well, and both sides actually caring for each other. Very heartwarming! I was surprised by the amount of romance and comedy as aposed to drama in this series, theres just as much as there is music. It was also great to see so much movement in the animation during the performances this time 'round, when it was just still frames before. Unfortunately, none of the performances in Paris Chapter came close to topping the ones in the first season, especially the one in episode 11 (of the first season), despite the advancement in animation. Although having topped any of those episodes really would have been a feat. It's simply not possible! Nodame's recital was beautiful, however. It's what I had been waiting to hear. Everything was simply excellent, I can't really think of an actual bad thing about the series, but I don't know if I can bring myself to give this season a ten out of ten. It just simply wasn't as good as the first season, which was beyond perfection! But I still absoutely loved this season, so a nine out of ten seems fair. Bring on season three!

Perhaps not as good as the first season, but this season was still very good. And the last episode was a nice wrap up, I'm glad that there is a third season. It was good to see the orchestra coming together and getting a standing ovation. I like the progress that Kuroki and Tanya made also. For the series I give a 9/10.

Finally, I managed to catch up with this series. I am forced to switch to another source due to the fact that the previous group that I'm following were just too slow for me to comprehend. Anyway, I feel that this series is a little bit rushed as compared to the first season. Probably, it's because the series is limited to 11 episodes. It could have been more better if it has more.

I gave this show a final score of 8. It's actually one of my top picks last year because I was impressed by its prequel. As always, this show has a good story, a lot of character development, and comedy.

Definitely, a must watch show if you completed the first season. I can't wait for the third season to be aired this fall 2009.

yes it annoyed me during the 1st season that they were just still frames. much much better the 2nd season! maybe that's why it was only 11 episodes long? because they spent a lot of money on the wonderful animation for the concert scenes? hmm... I also agree that this deserves a 10 but just the fact that the 1st season was better, i have to give this one a 9.

Wow what a nice ending, the plot moved a lot this time, i really liked the relationship development between Chiaki and Nodame, though i expected a Nodame/Chiaki co-performance orchestra, that would have been one of the bests episodes of NC (It will be, probably be on the next season), I wanted to see the old school people... Mine, etc. I want them to come back for the continuation of this story.

Seriously, i want more Nodame and less Chiaki :/ and i'm really looking forward to the Nodame performance with Chiaki.

A nice and decent ending to the Paris Chapter of Nodame Cantabile. Although this wasn't an epic ending for the 2nd season, it was pretty suitable. Both Nodame and Chiaki have really grown and developed as characters.

Chiaki did not even talk to or meet up with Viera even once, his teacher whom he had looked up to for so long. This was one of the things I was looking forward to seeing in this season.

This season was way too rushed compared to the 1st season with only 11 episodes though. If only they could have spread out the development and pacing of this season over 23 - 26 episodes.

Overall a good season, somewhere around an 8, but not quite a 9 for me. I'm definitely looking forward to the next season of Nodame Cantabile.

And there was some GREAT music moments, like the conductor competition at the start, Nodame's recital, and Chiaki's first performance with Marlet at the end!

The reason things developed so fast was because they cut out twice as much material this time. In the first season they condensed approx 52 chapters into 24 episodes. In the second season they squeezed approx 43 chapters into 11 episodes and lost a lot of music and character development as a result. In the music competition alone they jammed 5 chapters into a single episode reducing or eliminating probably half a dozen songs, i don't know how many jokes and all the explanations for what was going on.

Various developments that were supposed to be slow and subtle became obvious and rushed, character development of the main cast was severely curtailed to the point of that it created an entirely different feel for certain key scenes and some of the less significant (but still important) side characters had their parts cut to the point that it changed the whole feel of the characters, usually reducing their impact on the story to the point that people who hadn't read the manga wouldn't even understand why they were included at all. Honestly its a miracle the series turned out as well as it did with all the material they slashed.

i can only hope that the next season gets 24-26 episodes, because whatever happens it will probably be the last season we will ever get.
