THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Sugoi (amazing) episode! Few things I like.
-Explanations for the whole Shaetai (ghost thing) of how it works.
-Sad, sad past of Saeki Reishirou. With his sister and Aine. She get killed by big bad Machina that look like bad monster.

I did not like the explanation because me scratching head of how make body stuck in the robot to join with spirit so person comes back? Is sacrifice permanent or solution exist?

This cool

but I like more this one

Fan service ok.

So is official.....body in robot is power. Spirit is there to help summon robot. I think.

Notice....why change to 13? How anyone know why it change in episode length?

I may well be damn to become a critic but...
I'm just saying that 1 thing I didn't like about the episode... well actually others might not really care but,
when misao charged in and was.. well.. poof and gone... I know what happened but where did she go for the moment? and then later on she just came back... like nothing happened. Listen Yoh! I'm just saying... Natsume should have at least ask "Where did you go?".

it's just like the anime Demonbane(Good anime but the same thing made it stupid and crappy), had alot of impact to the story(made the whole story seem useless and no point at all)...

This anime is very promising but they should at least make somethings clear for us(every single detail and word should be explainable and explained to be satisfied kind of persons).

so that science club girl is actually some type of cyborg thing with missile launchers and other weapon; ghosts are used to control giant robots; and theres 3 student councils fighting each other using them.
and somehow our main character got himself involved in all of it, but at least a cute girl has a key to house now, if that can be considered lucky
the only way to stop a gamer from playing is either: beat them, or wait until they get bored (though 2% percent suffer seizures

The Kurosaki scenes were as good as ever.
Th visuals are enough a reason for me to watch the show, but I'm hoping Tomoharu won't become some sappy protagonist.

Well, I thought this episode ws ok. Some things got explained like how the mecha/ ghost thing works. And the mature science club/ dark society girl is apparently a cyborg or something.

Some things I didn't like was that once again they give you a hang over for the next episode, then start it at a random point. And how Misao just came back at the end and wasn't in 90% of the episode.

But I'll get over it and keep watching. Overall , liked this episode and the series.

idk i thought it was pretty clear. Misao seemingly couldn't maintain her existence for a while after the attack and took a while to come back (as explained by our cyborg girl). When Tomo was in danger, she reacted and summoned the mech thing for which she is the sacrifice. She wasn't around after said mech was summoned because she was inside of it like the girl inside the other mech. When mech was no longer needed and was unsummoned, she came back since she was no longer inside of it.

I like Misao's character a lot personally so it kind of sucked that she wasn't around for the majority of the episode, but it did explain a lot about their situation. Of course our hero is slightly less than heroic now though, he still doesn't have a clue what is going on and is only starting to get a handle on the new power grants to himself and Misao, but i'd imagine joining the science club will change this.

Saeki Reishirou just annoys me. I guess the segment in this episode about his past is supposed to make viewers feel sympathy for him and understand his actions, as well as showing how he is similar to Tomo in regards to a very important girl dying and being his little ghost guardian, but he still feels like a generic bad guy mostly.

This show is cliche on top of cliche. We've got Science vs. Religion. We've got harem. We've got pandering fanservice. We've got maid-like outfits. We've got mechs. We've got robots. We've got demons. We've got monsters.

But with all of that there is little to no reason in anything that I can see. I just kind of don't get it. It's a buch of crap that singularly would be fine for separate shows, and they've got it all in this one 13 episode show.

I'll give it the next episode to kind of explain stuff correctly before I drop it.

Hmm.. Okay. I guess I see what you mean and also agree that Misao wasn't around much and that... well I still don't like Natsume because his too dense/doesn't listen but I think that has some purpose.
If it doesn't get a whole damn better soon, I can concentrate on Pandora Heart which so far is awesome... I think.

In all honesty.. I really don't remember what happened at all during the first episode and the way the this episode started kinda left me wondering how the 2nd episode ended again.. I'm still looking for the connections.

A few things I'm starting to like though are the mechs and the action.. So I'm definitely still going to watch this.

It seems to me that this show has a weird sort of pacing that is rushed and not well transitioned. I agree, a lot of things are confusing and not well explained. It is one thing to have some mysteries and learn things as you go, but mostly this just left me frustrated. Another thing: I just thought the fanservice was stupid and unnecessary in this episode. Normally I don't mind it so much, but it felt like they through it in just to have some.

Overall, I like the plot of this anime, but so far they aren't doing the best with it. I'll continue watching... hopefully it gets better.

the animation is excellent... both female main chars are well made and fuko... erm kanade chan <3

back to the story.... all these has happened ... all the main chars know the future as they have relived it except tomo and misao. Even kanade knows whats going to happen... a contract between tomo and kanade?

how the ghost/mecha works is been explain a bit in this episode but misao wants controling asura there was a monster(something) chained that was controling it and misao just stoped it when tomo yelled. So we still need more info on the mechas.

so main questions remain.
Why tomo misao forgot what everyone else knows?
What is this contract between tomo and kanade?
And ofc where is Asura Machine fit on all these ?

Though I think things are getting clearer as each episode passes by.

But there's only 13 episodes...I'm starting to get a bit skeptical.

Awesome Episode!! Kurosaki, pwnd!! @_@ Takatsuki in that dress!!! I'm really starting to love this show, as for everyone saying they still don't understand...The only thing I still don't understand is how and why it all started, and what Natsume's brother had in store for him went he made his plans and gave him the Asura Machina. Everything else makes sense..Humans sacrificed to power the Mecha, so Natsume assumes he can bring her back, b/c she's obviously using some sort of "life" energy or w/e, and everyone wants Natsume's power on their side(cause they obviously see great power in him), now he'll train with Kurosaki, fall in love with Takatsuki, and womp everyone else's asses to save the day..And I'm hoping for an apperance by Natsume's brother...Urahara Out!!

well the plot turned into a complete mess for the majority of these episode but things started to make more sense by the end of it. Aswell as the actually storyline should come in now. Pretty much i though this episode was ok, messy but entertaining. had a mix of great and bad animation too. Guess i'll wait to see if it finally gets on track next ep.

can this get any more silly?

props for the evangelion references, tho. upskirt asuka and peeling away s2 engine shot.

so, the student council strips girls down and tries them in their nightgowns, so when they're rescued they can put four on the floor, butt in the air, and act all "shocked."

also, dead lolis in briefcases. creepy.

this has the privilege of looking pretty and slick even when it's sucking hard.

The animation quality in this episode was really good. I'd keep watching even if just for that. I'm interested in the plot as well. I can't wait to see how everything is connected.

I'm really curious as to whats going on with the projected existences. Since the first episode it's been clear that Misao is not dead and this one, Tomo actually stated it. It seems like if he finds her, she'll wake up. I have the feeling that his brother is the evil genius behind it and is hiding her somewhere, but maybe thats because I don't trust characters that are talked about but never actually appear.

this went from good to very WTF. shes a cyborg or can store weapons in her some how, then we have the holy side being evil and trying to purge everything while the evil side is trying to save everything.

also the animation got really funky at times during this episode.

i don't see why so many people are dumping on this show so much, i've been enjoying it so far. the action is nice, the characters are fairly interesting, and there is a plot, which is more than i can say for some shows. even if it's not all explained so far, that's what the other 10 episodes are there for.

Love the scene when it come out =)

little by little more is being revealed. But with only 13 episodes, I hope this doesn't get rushed. Seems like it might become a great story.

So now we can assume that Misao is Tomo's "spirit" and I am assuming that her body is within his Asura Machine. Or somewhere as he hints later in the episode.

I just felt that the random fanservice poses from Takatsuki seemed too awkward for the situation and I am hating how she has become this love struck school girl in her "regular" form. She seems so much more badass in her demon form, but I get the feeling we are going to get a lot of goofy lovey dovey from her apparent appeal towards Tomo after recent events.

But I do hope that this series continues to get better and better as it has so far.

I give this show the benefit of the doubt for being action and fast paced, but the cuts are way too fast and sudden and it feels way too janky. A little bit lesser cuts during the fight scenes, where any "movement" only gets like 4 frames would've been nicer and improve the overall quality.
