Huge shocker that the best selling shows of the season are yet again Shaft and Kyoani ones. Then again the season was so terrible it makes sense that things would default to the standard there as there's really nothing that would shake up the status quo besides the dark horse moe show by lesser known studio that gets grassroots support ala Girls Und Panzer, Non Non Biyori or this seasons Engaged to the Unidentified. Really the only shows I could possibly see myself buying are Noragami and Space Dandy cause they're kind of the only show I consider actually straight up watchable that came out this season. I'm having a hard time remembering a season this devoid of anything enjoyable ever. |

Noragami! <333 Will have to patiently wait for Thursday to see BD numbers. Kaioshin_Sama said: Huge shocker that the best selling shows of the season are yet again Shaft and Kyoani ones. You seem to be forgetting a few things: - Nisekoi volume 1 has an event ticket. It will probably go down to 4.5k or less starting with the next volume. - Chuunikoi! Ren has dropped from it's 15k season 1 average. - Engaged to the Unidentified has an event ticket and will probably drop to 4k or so. - Noragami volume 1(which has an event ticket)'s BD data isn't out yet. When it's out, it'll probably take Noragami to 5k or more. |

Oh yeah it's nothing remarkable and in a normal season those would probably be average sales at best and of course there's an event ticket for both but it just speaks to the poor quality of this season in general that those two studios were still able to be the top sellers at least for now and why I say it's kind of a default and safe bet that anything those two studios put out will probably be the most popular and best selling shows of the season and I still think it's because a good chunk of the buyers are just loyal to those brands and not the shows themselves. It reminds me of the situation in Summer. I genuinely don't think a single studio that had a show start airing on Late TV this season this season didn't phone it in aside from Bones. Also am I to understand that Noragami is primarily propped up by a Fujoshi audience going by it's DVD sales apparently being higher than Blu-Ray. Isn't that typically a sign of Fujoshi influence? edit: hmm on second thought you have a point about the event tickets. |

Let's hope that Noragami BD sales are good enough to warrant a second season. There's enough material to animate and it's the least flawed anime of this season after all. |

Highschool DxD is still selling Strong i am still waiting for the third season announcement after all they already drop hints of future potential plot lines in the second season, there plenty of material left to adapt and the reception and sales have both been good. they would be crazy not to make more. IS 2: I guess i liked but it was a major let-down compared to the first season, they put to much of the harem hijinks in this season even more so i can stand and i have seen a lot of harem anime and i am usually very tolerant about it. Looks like Log Horizon's sale have dropped out of the charts. Its a good thing that show was made by NHK otherwise a second season would most likely not have been possible. WitchCraftWorks i guess it got pretty good sales but it was to confusing for me the whole plot thing i just couldn't understand it but it was funny so good for it |

Just a note, it did came out, it just never ranked. I don't think the DVDs will rank either. The DVD thresholds are way to high for something that is predicted to sell 100~ DVD's to rank. Kaioshin_Sama said: Huge shocker that the best selling shows of the season are yet again Shaft and Kyoani ones. You wilfully choose to ignore that not all series are out yet, and that Nisekoi will have a v2 drop. That aside, Hoozuki will take this seasons 1# spot. But takiing the 1# spot this season is like winning the Olympics for kids with severe downs syndrome. Its the worst season for sales in the BD-era. |

Maybe the otaku have been saving money the past two seasons and putting it into high-yield investments so that they can spend extra on the next two seasons! =D With a season as loaded with new shows as Spring, could we see somewhere along the lines of 5+ 10k sellers? =O |

When they changed that much, to such extend, then they can only fail. As you see DxD New does pretty well. Season 2 only had a average of 3k. Unless maken-ki s2 is underestimated on Stalker, it will be your standard season drop. Shows like DxD, Nanoha and Symphogear are the exception. Not the rule. DxD never had a bad Sales number. As I remember, the first season sales were quite good. Also 2nd season. There is not much S1 sold more then S2. And like I said, I'm still interested in this sales of Maken-ki. The DVD sales are pretty low. |

I kinda hope they will fail with the sales. Kinda punishment for changing the design to Xebec. Karma~ No, just your standard s2 drop. Not really standard. Are Noragami's BD results not out yet? Or is it only selling DVDs? It's DVD sales seem decent enough and I hope it's BD sales (if it has them) will show similar results. That might prompt Bones to make another season of Noragami, whether it be in this year or the next. |

So, Gin no Saji didn't even make the cut-off for Blu-Rays? Kinda said about that, certainly hoped for more sales. Im glad nisekoi is doing well, I was expecting it to be in the hundreds, but it being in the thousands surprised me. Same with witch craft works, im only 6 episodes behind and will catch up eventually, its a good show. Im hoping noragami does well, a second season without original ending please? |

Sad to see Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga. not making the cut-off. My copy of vol 1 shipped last week. Can't say I'm not surprised though, it is a bit of an acquired taste. Fantastic show nevertheless. Blu-Ray + DVD *8,027 *8,027 High School DxD New Vol.6 *5,053 *5,053 Strike the Blood Vol.3 Limited Edition *4,418 *4,418 Witch Craft Works Vol.1 Great to see these up there. STB seems to be holding steady every volume thus far. |
