And Sena didn't?

Ah, don't bring reason into the discussion when talking with the "Sena lovers", they see her turning into a perverted stalker (of both Yozora and Kobata) as positive character development.

As for Yozora only wanting Kodaka for herself: who was the person who let Yukimura and Rika join, and then re-invented the rules to allow Kobata to join? But as I said, reason is like brussel sprouts to these people.

Yes, I guess this is not the discussion to fight about it, but it irritates me when Sena fanboys act like she has no flaws and is perfect, and then point out things Yozora does that Sena does as well. I was telling myself not to reply, but I just couldn't let it go, lol.

LMAO, so much insight on LasDen's character from such a small comment. That "reasoning" sure is on another level. >_>

I like Sena...yes. But I know, shes not perfect. When Kobato is around, shes a bit disgusting :D But Yozora seems to dont like anything that has to do with Kodaka and making friends beside herself...Sena, yeah she wants to marry him, but she doesnt find it bad, if he makes friend (at least thats how i see it) :D
Yozora went on a journey when she find out that Kodaka befriend Rika like its the worst thing in the world....

What LasDen said!!!!!
I hate the word “fate.” Birth, encounters, partings, success and failures, fortune and misfortunes in life. If our lives are already set in stone by fate, then why are we even born? There are those born to wealthy families, those born to beautiful mothers, and those born into the middle of war or poverty. If that’s all caused by fate, then God is incredibly unfair and cruel. Because, ever since that day, none of us had a future and the only certain thing was that we wouldn’t amount to anything. - Takakura Shouma

Who invited Yukimura, Rika, and Kobata to join the club. Hint, it wasn't Sena. Who exactly has Sena made friends with except Kodaka? Yozora and Rika are friendly, Yukimura has mentioned that her and Yozora have talked (granted Yozora used each time to talk her into the appropriate uniform - but the funny thing is that Yukimura likes it). Sena has barely noticed the other character's existence. Does she mind Kodaka hanging out with them? No, not because she is more friendly, but rather because she views them as unimportant.

Cryztal's point is valid. It isn't so much that people like Sena or dislike Yozora, which is a matter of taste. Rather its that they criticize Yozora with for something that Sena actually does worse.

As some people have pointed out, a well-made season 3 would be worth the long wait, but perhaps we'll see an OVA. Jeez, that Kodaka x Sena scene, I was really pissed off by the interruption, but I'm pretty sure it was just for the sake of trolling. I don't think Kodaka was going to say what us Sena fans wanted anyway.
We got some Hidaka teasing, that was fine. I wouldn't have minded if Kodaka had stayed for a while in the student council, just for the sake of variety. Yukimura was pure gold again :3
Kodaka finally understood that they're all friends already... took him 2 seasons to do so, now that's him being dense for real.
If I had to be objective, though, Kodaka should choose Rika, she is her legitimate soul mate. She's shown time and again that she knows him really well, and even he acknowledged that in this episode. Her Magneto-balls scene was kinda overdone but it really fits all the crazy stuff that is part of this series. I didn't know if I should laugh at how Kodaka was getting his ass "ball-kicked" or cry at what they were talking. Now that's a interesting way of doing emotional scenes.
4/5
I was expecting some additional scene after the credits to show a glimpse of what they would do about Yozora.

9/10 for the season. Awesome season overall, it really blows season 1 out of the water. Whatever they bring next will be definitely a challenge to prepare.

Now to wait for the OreShura ending, and then for OreImo's 2nd season... Hopefully we have all the Chimera arc in HXH to wait for haganai's season 3, so the wait won't be as noticeable. Sounds like a good plan.

Ending seems incomplete :/ But it was a great episode. I'll miss this. This is one of the best anime this season.

Yozora such a crybaby........
Rika <3 for girl
That last scene before credits...
Also Kodaka asked to join student council. Haganai becoming Seitokai no Izhizon (Kodaka wanted a harem if he could)

There better be a S3, the ending isn't that great. The episode is but wtf man.

A great improvement from the first season

Thankfully, the LN is still going so hopefully it ends to the point where it's able to cover another season.

This episode was the best by far in my opinion. The praised rooftop scene was truly fantastic.

Also, Takuan_Soho posted in the forum "Season 3?" that
Takuan_Soho said:
There will be a season 3, the question is when. The first two seasons have covered the first 8 Light Novels, which catching us up to what is published. At 4 novels a cour, and 2 novels published a year, it would be at least 2.5 years before a season 3 (2 years for the books, some time for production). That is a LONG time between seasons. They may go the ova route with side stories as a bridge, or they may do a reboot in the future.

I hope that if they do an OVA series, it would be about Kodaka's experience with the Student Council. That's just me.

Well a nice episode to finish it off. As usual Rika pawned them all. That was some great speech by both Kodaka and Rika and the fight scene was awesome. Aoi and Hidaka are really good too. It was nice to see those interactions. Kodaka could just join the Student Council. Let's just see when season 3 comes out. Also hoping that they would show the "Friend-making game" as an ova.

As for the others, Yozora continues being as pathetic as usual even though she got a little better in the previous episode. She just literally acted like a drama queen and ran away because Kodaka made a friend beside her. It just like Rika said....."If memories or who you met first is that important, she should've just kept sucking on her mommy's tits for the rest of her life."

I just hope she gets at least a little better later.....couldn't like her no matter what. The anime even tried to make her look less pathetic compared to the LN. Same goes for Yukimura......she turned even more creepy.

Btw can LN reader confirm something?

She also tried to become Kobato's friend... although that failure is without a doubt completely on Sena's side, being grossly obsessive and all...

Her view on the rest of the club is... well, perhaps as you say, mostly as room ornaments. But I don't know if that's worse than looking at them as obstacles like Yozora does.

well there is a lot to say about this episode an this SEASON. but first i'll start with this episode i'll try not to be biased so i won't say i hated it even if i wanted more sena screen time (major sena fan here) i didn't enjoy seeing him self pity himself nearly this whole episode (well the whole series actually...) and the end where he sai he was IN LOVE with the student council president for her personality seriously.. the only thing i liked about this episode was rika telling him straight up he has no balls.. even if she didn't say it in those words... but i still think the fight scene was a bit over done... then what really made me upset was seeing him finally about to tell sena his feelings good or bad and yozaro texts saying on't look for me.. if you don't want people looking for you why send a text?

episode 3/5

this series on the other hand was very goo we got a lot of character development we saw more of the characters weak sides (very much more from kodako) and this season really developed so much in general.. but this last episodes cliffhanger ending brought my rating down a bit so

story 9/10
art 7/10
sound 7/10
character 9/10
enjoyment 8/10

OVERALL 8/10

When?
I really missed the series kept the original meeting between the two. Sena pulled the "I'll have my daddy expel you" thing she did with Yusa on Yozora, and Yozora nailed her for it. Remember Sena "hates Yozora with her entire soul". The one time she really did open up (after the mind reading) Yozora did feel guilty, but before that could develop Sena once again immediately got over her emotions. Which of course is Sena's problem. She, even more so then Yozora, is a drama queen.

Ajunky said:

Friend? Are you kidding? She is beyond obsessive, she has turned Kobata into a fetish (the sniffing the hair part after the movie). If Yozora is "manipulative" then what is Sena's actions around Kobata - trying to bribe her, pretending to like the same show, if not manipulative? Now maybe Sena really wants to be a friend, but in that everything she does seems to end with her molesting Kobata, does anyone wonder why Kobata is afraid of her?

Ajunky said:

Not saying that Yozora is better than Sena on this aspect. But outside of Yozora's issues with Kodaka, she has proven to be friendly with Rika, and has talked with Yukimura and Maria. We just don't see those parts, they are only alluded to, though people are grateful to her for her doing it. Outside of buying Maria a ticket, Sena has never once did anything for the group.

Again, the point isn't that Yozora is better than Sena, but rather when the Sena-fantatics attack Yozora they always use things that apply equally or even more to Sena. That tunnel vision is what most people are making fun of.

Rika makes the replacement as super friend, Sena makes the big move on Kodaka (and has had way more flags than Yozora)...

Sounds like Yozora got super bitched on this one.

Also, I was extreme disappoint by the severe lack of Kobato in this finale!

Do you believe she "hates Yozora with her entire soul"?

Unless I completely misunderstood Sena's character, she's a haughty tsundere, especially about Yozora... So ok, it's also Sena's fault for being haughty, but she has been trying to get closer to Yozora, and I don't think it's out of a wish for revenge.

She trusts her (more than she should) and gets excited whenever Yozora is kind to her (which has always been a trap).

The earliest example I remember of Sena trying to reach to Yozora is when they got cellphones and she wanted to exchange numbers with her. Ok, saying something along the lines of "I'll give you the priviledge of having my number" is not the best way to do it, but it's the intention what counts... right?

I also believe Yozora understands her real intention, which doesn't mean she's not allowed to get pissed and try to correct her attitude (that's actually good), but the real issue is that she really doesn't allow herself to get close to her, being unable to trust anyone.

Go Team Rika <3 T.T Seriously, I think it would have been better if Kokada ended up with Rika. She played a very important role in the last few episodes and both her and her personality dramatically changed during the course of this anime. Shes probably the only one who actually tried hard to appeal to Kodaka. At first Im team Sena, now Im team Rika, she and Kodaka is a perfect match <3

Don't know, it remains to be seen. Probably not, but how would Yozora know. What we do know is that Sena is stalking Yozora and seems to masturbate when thinking of revenge.

No, she has not tried to get closer to Yozora, she respects Yozora as a worthy opponent. She said as much after she crushed Yusa. The one time Sena tried to get closer to Yozora in a real way was after the mind reading trick, and Yozora was receptive, but Sena went ballistic over Kobata.

Intention, the chief paving material of the "Road to Hell"

Which is what most of Yozora's abuse is: correction. Notice Yozora did NOT tape Sena reading porn, or did NOT change the Karaoke destination. Yozora cannot stand Sena's "Princess" attitude (who really can) and corrects her. Even at the amusement park, Sena had to brag about the Black Dragon after Yozora and Kodaka had talked Maria out of going again. As I have said previously, if Sena has shown any character development it is solely because Yozora has reigned her in.

Ajunky said:

Yes, that is Yozora's chief flaw. But has anyone asked why she is this way? That Yozora thinks this is no surprise, every time she plays a game she has said she thinks that the person will betray here. Sounds as if she is speaking from experience, doesn't it? Doesn't it make you wonder what happened?

Remember Kodaka is the main pov of this show. He has called Yozora his first friend, he has chided her for her attitude, but at the same time he has never once asked about her. Rika gets this, she brought it up on the roof. I am hopeful that the writer really intends Yozora to leave and she actually does. All this could come out.

Rika is damn scary! Pretty over-the-top ending with those metal spheres, but I kinda liked their little 'stand-off'. xD

Yozora just up and leaves? "Please don't look for me." How melodramatic. I wonder if/how/when this'll continue from now on. Overall I liked this sequel. Better than the first, with much more development. 8/10.

I am going to engage in a little over-analysis. You know, my favorite thing to do.

In this episode Rika breaks the glass over Yozora at the exact second her and Kodaka talk about Yozora. She is several floors below, but they are screaming so chances are she can hear them. As the glass breaks Rika yells: "Yozora senpai lost all her nerve thanks to that."

Kodaka responds: "What am I supposed to do. Her memories from 10 years ago meant everything to her. They are what kept her going."

Think about that for a second. That isn't true. Yozora had moved forward, after all she asked Kodaka out on a date; she also admitted to him (after she fled from Sena) that now is just as important for her. So, despite that, despite her putting herself out for him, taking a risk in asking him out (not to mention all the muttered asides that Kodaka has purposely ignored), despite forming a club for him to make friends, she know finds out what Kodaka really thinks of her: she is pathetic, stuck 10 years in the past. Why did she flee, what else could she do?

And on top of that, the ironic thing is that until Rika forced Kodaka to be honest with himself, he was actually the one really trapped 10 years in the past. He was the one that was truly pathetic (at least Yozora tried to ask him out (3 times at least I count)), Kodaka never has once. The whole point of Sora turning into Rika was symbolic that finally he was going to move past being stuck in the past, to find new friends and maybe even love. But in doing so he is rejecting his past, rejecting his shared experience with Yozora, which is really rejecting Yozora again. Not only does he think she is pathetic, but now he has taken the one memory she did had that she felt proud of.

The cruelest cuts are often the slight ones, the ones where the offender doesn't realize the harm they have done. That is Kodaka in a nutshell, and of all the people he has hurt, Rika, Sena, etc, no one has been cut more than Yozora.

My opinions:
the interesting part is how as Yukimura said: rika and yozora didn't go to the club the rest of the days when kodaka was absent after sena's proposal. You can see how much they love him or really care about him.
because as Yukimura said sena was there playing her games as usual! she is like the fantasy of every otaku guy/girl like a guy just walk out when she confess her love to him and propose to him and she just keep playing video games(*O*) like nothing ever happen. And when he comes back she just blush.
That is why i feel really bad about yozora her reactions are like some of us when we find out the love of our life is taken by someone.. I though that yozora would be really mad and will punch Sena to death(but not she is not a "juno" She is just a sensitive emotional girl like some of us) her mood totally change to a sad person that wish to disappear as an expresion... But she seriously dissapear.

and maybe she is finding herself because theres a lot of yozora we need to learn. In the reality she is fragile when her fears conquer her. remember how she was in the first episode she didn't smile she didn't talk to anyone. I hope she comes back with long hair^_^ as her symbolizing her girly side.

and also I think Rika is awesome!! she is a really good friend and a caring person so mature! I think she is going to help things work out next season! as her being her "first" legit friend after sora and kodaka saying himself that he is now a weak and pathetic person Is the turn of rika to helping him out that is the point of a friend ^_^ If you are lost they will help you find your way back. If kodaka makes a decision i think she is going to be there supporting any of this girls as she thinks all of them are her friends! i love herr!!

until next season my fellows

The most interesting thing to me in the episode was the obvious similarities between the student council president and Yozora. Everything down to their manner of speaking was oddly similar.

I wonder if Yozora, in an effort to "be popular", studied the president and tried to copy her.

Really disappointing ending to be honest. The only positive thing is that it implies Kodaka ends up together with Sena but the rest was just... not very good. I'd like anyone to link me to the LN to start reading it immediately.

I really liked the entire series and season 2 felt like it was made for Rika but the ending was a letdown for me. Last episode didn't even show Maria and Kobato. Yozora leaves and no reason or reaction from the others is shown and even Kodaka's answer to Sena is just implied.

I give a 10/10 to the series as a whole though.

The ending was pretty open ended, I was left broken hearted!
Who knew Rika would be the one to get the most character development
this season.. She's still very cute, but I wish that they had given more
than this ending!

The fact that they managed to show all the characters in this episode kind
of threw me off. Then again, since it's the last episode of a season, it
would be understandable..

Hoping for S3! (˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )

Excellent Final Episode!!!

Art: 9/10
Story: 910
Characters: 10/10
Music: 9/10
Overall Rating: 9/10

Good to see more screen-time for Yusa and the Student Council President. Nice to see Rika beat some sense into Kodaka and officially becoming friends with him and everyone in the Club.
The scene with Sena at the end was interrupted by Yozora's trip message which seems like it is hinting for a potential third season as not all the members have completed their main objective.

Overall I loved this season, sharing some funny scenes and new characters created a good setting for this arc. Looking forward to a potential third season!!

Episode Rating: 5/5

The ending was better than season one's, but I still thought it was weak. They managed to close it up, though. It was a good watch.

I could care less for a third season, but if it does get announced, I'll watch it.

FUCK! The ending was epic! Rika is epic! I cant wait for season 3! They must make one!
And I really haope he chose Sena and didn't reject her!
"You act like you're the main character of some romantic harem anime!" LOL!
"If the first person she met is so important to her she should've just keep sucking on her moms tits!" - Double LOL!
(I know it's not accurrate)
Gosh I love Rika so much, she's seriously one of the greatest anime characters I've seen.
Best birthday episode ever!

Hidaka hinata's personality is a bit like arashi from oni-ai so I am not interested..I thought she would be a sweet person in another way.Wow,yukimura got screen-time plus a pretty nice on.Rika u rock:PShe is the best girl.Kodaka choose her in next season:)Sena is nice, yozora is also good but Rika is the bestest of the best. She has the best chemistry with Kodaka afterall. They became friends afterall..

Man now I want a 3rd season.It ended on a cliffhangerT_T.

I speculated about that on the first page, my thinking is that the two are related.

However what you wrote is certainly possible. Although doesn't Hinata's laugh and personality seem a little bit forced? If so, perhaps she is actually copying Yozora, she is just doing a better job at it. That would certainly make Kodaka's "I fell in love with her personality" line highly ironic.

Also, I think I get the actual reason the writer will have Yozora leaving (as opposed to what I theorized). Yozora is leaving because she thinks she is in Kodaka's way. In his fight with Rika, Kodaka pretty much said that the reason he can't move on is because he knows he can't make everyone happy (i.e. whoever he picks, someone will be hurt). Yozora decided to sacrifice herself for Kodaka's sake. She is going to make it possible for him to move on. This would explain why she smiled at the photo of the group at the end of the episode.

This would make sense to her: she knows Rika is happy just being Kodaka's friend, Yukimura will be happy being his servant, Kobata is the sister, Maria is the younger sister, Sena is the childhood friend and fiance, so that leaves Yozora as the odd one out. We know that Yozora really loves Kodaka, and prides herself on being a "true friend" as well as displaying "manly virtue" (her fascination with the BL video), so her leaving is the "right" thing to do.

For a series that's entirely reliant on the light novels as source material, I think it did a good job of wrapping itself up. Of course it's going to end in a cliffhanger. That's like complaining about a Harry Potter movie ending with a cliffhanger. You can't finish a series until the source material is finished.

Pleasantly surprised by the amount of character development. I like Yozora, but Sena and Rika got plus marks in my book.

What's a Yaoi hole...

I guess Kodaka picked Sena in the end? I really wanted them two to end up together. It feels like their is more yet come, possibly a third season or a few OVA's, even a movie would be good. Anything to end the series I had when series are left un-finished.

What a shitty ending. The completely useless first part with Kodaka helping the Student Council and then suddenly Rika changes the anime into an action genre? Why the hell did Kodaka let her beat him up like that? Was it supposed to be "emotional"?
I disliked Rika and Kodaka both in the final episode and in the end nothing really happened, yeah they told each other their "true feelings/thoughts" but the group isn't back together, far from that, Yozora decided to go on a journey *cough, seeking attention, cough* and Sena and Kodaka aren't any closer since the previous episode. Really disappointed.

I really enjoyed the last few episodes but this one was horrible and not what I was expecting at all. Damn what a mediocore and useless last episode for this season, if there is going to be another one. Otherwise it's just plain bad.

I am a little disappointed at the final episode of this season. I was hoping for a more intense episode that had a definite and set route but since they had an open ending we have a lot more guessing to do. In addition, with the fact that the light novel series hasn't ended yet, we have to keep in mind that until it is done the anime won't have any material to draw from. Basically more waiting :c Still, enjoyed the series so far and look forward to how they will progress with it. 8/10
