| If we're taking about chick harems, eh, I don't really mind them. All the cliches get old really quickly though. Or if all of the sudden 10 girls decide that they want to screw the same guy who happens to be complete loser, only spoke to him once and is madly in love with him, all the women have boobs for brains etc. Reverse harems are the same, but I love cute guys, so I tend to be more tolerant with those. The same old stuff still tends to get old. |

I am not into ecchi, and not all harem shows promote that stuff. Most of the ones I watch do not. But, I just hate your typical romance anime where the main girl is shoved down your throat, and you know the main guy is GOING to love her because typically for some reason I never like her. Even if she is the main character. The female harems let me choose who I WANT the character to be with. There are sometimes the typical main girls in the harems who are PERFECT, but I always usually go with the second girl introduced who is sometimes ignored in favor of the main girl. What can I say, I like to rut for the underdog. Now male harems with female lead, shoot me now... |

| Hanasakeru Seishounen was horrible, it had a promising first episode but it all turned into dust very quickly. One of the better ones is Saiunkoku Monogatari, at lest the female characters are well made in this one and the main love interest is not an absolute trope. One problem that I have with harems (and reverse harems) is that usually its characters are stereotypes that don't develop much, this genre relies too much on its viewer liking these stereotypes and ignoring everything else while playing "I pick him/her" game. |

| I don't really mind most harem animes. Some of them have nice love stories and I'm a sucker for nice romance. Some like To-Love-Ru with all the ecchi I can tolerate because of all the cute girls and I'm also a sucker for the moe. I prefer TLR's manga though. |
