A fitting and fulfilling end to this heartwarming anime.

The first 2 episodes were outstanding... the rest was average school-SOL. I enjoyed the silly comedy style and the characters were all very enjoyable and not cliche. 5/10 (average) overall.

one of weak pa work series. I just felt how the group gathered together was weak and didn't show much of an impact, like wanting to find out more about each character. Though I did enjoy the comedy but all they wanted was to perform which they achieved and there is something lacking for me. I rate it 5/10, could of been better.

this was nice. i was craving for a musical anime so stumbling upon this satisfied me.
i have a soft spot for these stuff, anime or not.
the performance scene made me some goosebumps tbh
9/10 for me.

the musical genre in anime is so underrated. I hope there'd me more musical series in the future.
(note that i didn't use the word "music" but "musical.")

This anime should have really beefed up the romance between the badminton guy and the horse chick, to maybe add some spice to the anime.

Slice of life anime without any romance or with romance not being the main theme can be boring.

Overall, I can see why many liked this anime, but I can also see why many didnt like it. .

Woah, everything didn't end perfectly? That's unique for this sorta show. This was a whole lot better than I expected it to be, I was almost reluctant to start it even. Turns out it's prrreety good. My main issue with this anime though was the added romance at the end that didn't go anywhere and wasn't needed in the first place. If it was done well it would've been nice but the way they did it wasn't that.

It would've been cool if this had an OVA were we see them later in life going down their chosen careers since a big part of the story was about what they're going to do in the future. Oh, and the principal. This dude just ruined his career and nobody even said thank you? Damn, harsh. But yup, turns out generic SoL done well is still entertaining to watch.

Underrated, really. Characters and story is amazing, well damn good at the point of develop characters, the story and ending it this way.
Gonna miss it, Maeda, Miyamoto, Okita, Wakana, Tanaka and beautiful Mahiru.

10/10, would like to see more, but manga seems done, anime too. Damn... my feelings...

What a lovely anime, I'm surprised I hadn't found this much sooner and by less random means. The sole reason I discovered this anime, after all, was this video.

Loved the characters and how much they all grew together, how realistically they tackled each situation. No big "let's save the school!" schemes.

The ending being so conclusive as well as showing where they all go is seriously admirable, too many anime leave things as open-ended and vague as possible these days.

Super easy 9/10, really loved this and I'm really happy I found it!

Just finished rebinging this anime last night, and boy do I still love it! It was the first anime I stayed up all night to binge-watch in a single go, about two years ago. I was initially drawn in by it's gorgeous visuals, which held up throughout the whole show, and stayed for the rather decent story-telling.

It's true that Tari Tari lacks in the development department, outside of Wakana (who seemed like a bigger asshole in the beginning than I remember), but I didn't find it boring at all. I'll also admit that there are many anime shows out there with much better writing, but I'll always keep these characters (well, the girls and Wien, anyways) in my heart. I don't care if it's my animezing nostalgia!

Anyways, to review this episode in particular, I like how the series wrapped up. Nice to see the principal essentially sacrifice his retirement for the kids' enjoyment, though I'm disappointed that no one seemed to give a damn about him afterwards. Aside from the musical, the obvious focus in this episode was saying goodbye. After all the memories they created, Sawa and Wien end up in different countries, and the rest apparently go off to different colleges. What did Tanaka say to Sawa before she left? IDK, but at least the two seemed mutually understanding of each other. Maybe she didn't return his feelings, but at least they'll still be friends. They'll all always be friends... *sniffle*.

To put this sweet prince(ess?) to a rest, Wakana strolls back up to her house, obviously older than before, looking more like her mother. I can't help but wonder if she moved away for college and this was her first time seeing her dad in a long while, or if it's simply another day for her. Either way, the entire ending sequence featuring all the characters moving on almost sapped some tears from my eyes.

This wasn't a particularly well written comment, and I don't usually comment on the anime I've watched in the first place, but I feel like I needed to pay tribute to Tari Tari somehow. No matter what I watch down the line, it'll always hold a special place in my heart. Truly, Tari Tari is animezing anime.

I am legally obligated to utilize the pun "animezing" at least once a post.

I liked they didnt go with the "we can save the school with our singing" route ala love live and such. School is still closing after its over.

There was some character development, and some light shipping at the very but that was only after he got a panty shot. It was mainly just wakana and sawa with any sort of development and the guys were just sort of there. Wakana and konatsu are the only ones who actually cared about singing, again everyone else was just sort of there, cliche of we need to form a club but not enough people so a rag tag of people come together to form it.

Didnt go into the series thinking I was gonna cry at not one part but multiple episodes.
But any show where they can make you shed tears for characters is great imo.

This series was not hard hitting enough, it started out as very good with Sakai's dilemma with the group and her problem with music (or her grief). But it later got boring with Sawa's spoiled antics about her dream to be a jockey and it got sillier with them getting jobs as those shop-rangers (worst episodes ever). When stood against the chairman about singing in the festival, i thought they would convince him or fight for the school shutdown but they were lame there.

If this anime was about passionate singing it would've been the best out there. It lacked passion and real drama or humor, damn that was a weak unlovable slice of life with unlovable characters (except the vice principal).

4/10 for being below average.

That was definitely the feel good finale I was hoping for. The last festival wasn't grand, but that's exactly what made it so special. That's something I've really enjoyed about Tari Tari throughout. It doesn't do anything to particularly stand out, but it's able to take its plainness and make a profound point out of it. The characters also had a charming balance of being average but also abnormal (especially Konatsu...especially her!). Each of them had their own quirks and subtle mannerisms that made their plain interactions stand out in less obvious ways.

My favorite part of Tari Tari had to be seeing Wakana come to terms with her mother's passing. She accepted her mother's wish to love music again & found the courage she needed to take the next step forward. This series really conveys how much fun music can be without going over the top about it. Well, unless you count the principal fumbling, stumbling and dropping drawers to protect it.

What a good ending. I probably hope that this anime will have an OVA or something that showed about their future.

A pretty nice conclusion to one of the best anime's I've seen this year. Sure this is an old one, but my anime watching is all over the place, I rarely watch newer shows since I'm catching up on older ones. The characters were all likeable, and it's cool to kinda see how they are moving on. They definitely could re-unite one day as friends and even as singers. The one budding romance could also have some legs. I don't think we are seeing anymore of this one, but it was a nice ride while it lasted.

Another P.A. Works original that ends up in disappointment.
Drama was badly executed, almost all the female characters were either brats or bitches and balance in terms of screen-time for both male and female leads couldn't have been worse. Wien and Taichi were part of the main cast yet they practically had to beg for crumbs of character development.

That was one heck of an ending!!! They got to perform their play (and dang I wish that was a movie or so!!!) and they were accompanied so perfectly it's hard to imagine none of these people got along in episode 1. They had quite the large audience too and it was lovely to see everyone hold photos and that call with the Condor band. Also nice to see everyone went their own way but on their own terms. Everyone created a symphony together. Yes this is the end but what an end it is.

Even with those lacklustre developments in last couple of episodes, what this work actually needed for a better and more coherent conclusion for the overall series is a fulfilling timeskip of each main cast.

Disappointing.

It was a very cheesy show, but well, I enjoyed it.
Plot and characters were really simple, I liked them but the fact Taichi and Wien had little to none screentime did hurt me.
At least even side characters and adult characters had some time to shine and were important to the plot, something you usually don't see in this kind of anime.
Overall an enjoyable show, despite being plain and safe, I'd say. I'll check out the manga too just because I feel like it.
