Aww Kurumi cried a lot this episode didn't she? And probaly loads more off-screen too since she wore sunglasses the next day. The confession scene was really well-done though, and it really touched me.

I guess some of Kurumi's personality can be explained from her flashback because of how the fake girls treated her and I guess she picked up on that too. And has anyone noticed that even though, everyones always greeting Kurumi and acting all nice to her, she doesn't have close friends? Well, anyways I liked her a lot more after she started acting herself.

LOVE LOVE LOVEE the ending scene though. It was so cutee. <33

Well, they are both can be catty but as a character I dislike Ami. She is just not honest with her feeling while Kurumi is different.

Oh and they better not left Kurumi in the dark corner at all.

Really? I feel like they're the same. Ami noticed Ryuuji's feelings before even he noticed them. That's why she was such a bitch to him, and mop head (what's her face with the red hair). She saw everyone's feelings for Ryuuji, knew Ryuuji liked Taiga, and was just constantly frustrated at all the inaction. It was futile for her to confess, but at the same time she saw mop head...Minor, that's it...try to deny those feelings and act as though they didn't exist.

She was the only person to see everyone for what they were, and that's why I liked her so much.
I would give her that credit for noticing the others feelings and so does Kurumi. But the fact that they are different still not changed, Kurumi did not give up on her dream but Ami only trying to run away and never want to face it.

And the fact that Toradora lacked of her character development did not make me feel any better either.

Ahh, muuuch better than ep 14. Kurumi seems cool now. I prefer her when she's upfront about stuff.

Nice to get this arc out of the way now. Ahahahaha, poor Pin, they lost.

Well, yeah, they are different, but their character type is the same. I don't think it's as simple as giving up on a dream, since, when it comes to having a relationship, you have to be pragmatic and aware of other people's feelings, otherwise you're just delusional. That's why I see Ami and Kurumi as the same in nature. They accepted their loss and moved on. So, of course, I disagree that Ami lacked development. Of everyone in the show, she was the only one who developed naturally, and without ridiculously melodramatic circumstances. The manipulative bitch who tried to frame Taiga was worlds different from bluntly honest girl who became Taiga's friend by the end.

To bring this back on topic, I don't want Kurumi to be friends with Sawako. It would be an interesting dynamic, but I've seen it enough to want to see something different from this show...even if the show works tropes and archetypes completely.

It was a sad thing that I was putting Toradora on hold during its airing and only came back to it almost at the end of the show. Well I wasn't really posting much on forum either during that time and it wasn't really interesting to make any discussing with the others since most of people only want to praise Taiga. I hoped I should have noticed you and deathfire long time ago so that we could have some interesting discussion. Anyway, I am kinda of like the way you explain Ami character but I still prefer the way Kurumi is thinking. She want to try it and see how and why she lose it.

I don't really mind having Kurumi to be friends with Sawako, not in a friendly way. But I would rather interesting in seeing what you just mentioned it.

Toradora is still the best episode discussion that has happened for me on this website. White Album comes at a close second. Deathfire's relationship charts, some of the ridiculus shipping, yet generally courteous exchange of ideas between manga readers and anime-only watchers, on top of each discussion going on all the way up to the next airing (for at least 10 pages) really showed off what episode discussions can be on MAL. Sure there was fighting and bruised egos, but it was just really good all around. I can't imagine having watched that show without being on the forums.

Yeah, I feel kind of bad for her. She seems to have kept from opening up to others because of her past, which caused a wall to form between herself and others (that's how I see it anyways). I hope that now that she seems to have decided to be her true self she might actually make some real friends.

I totally love that moment when Kurumi just totally underlined Sawako's incredibly naive personality.

"Since it's a misunderstanding, I'm sure he'll understand if you just talk to him..."
"Do you really think he'd understand if I told him the truth? ...Aren't you being an idiot?"

Sawako needs some maturing fast. Her deer-in-the-headlights, stammering, innocent personality was charming at first, now it's annoying and pales in the comparison of awesome complex girls like Yano and Kurumi.

I agree that the anime drew this out for way too long, but I'm very glad the Kurumi arc ended gracefully.

Thus ends the first bit of Kimi ni Todoke, where we go from here I have no idea. I mean maybe Kazehaya will make a move but Sawako is pretty far out into the real world now.

Is rival not a well known word in Japan?

It makes me happy to see that Kazehaya was able to turn down Kurumi with no problems... So far. ^_^ It seemed like a pretty easy let down in my opinion. Kurumi seems to be dealing with it pretty okay, so far. Instead of being a royal bitch--like I thought she would be--she becomes more of a friendly rival. That's pretty tactful. Also, she's able to show her true self to Kazehaya now.

I always feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I see Sawako and Kazehaya start to grow closer and closer in each episode I watch. I wonder what's in store for episode 16.

OH MY, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS EPISODE. Not that it's really surprising since I always feel in love in every KnT episode, lol. IT WAS SUCH A GREAT EPISODE, loved it. Rivals eh? So Kurumi considers Sawako as a worthy opponent. :D

Okay so now I think Kurumi is a good girl. She's a nice person. I am very sorry I called her a slut back in the previous episodes. Also, I found her to be very cute in this episode. I loved how she confessed to Kazehaya. My my, she got the balls to do it. Although she got rejected, it went really well. I loved how she said "Oh my, I've said it." to herself after she confessed, GAAAHH so cute. :3

Now now, the after party sure was very touching and cute. I loved how Kazehaya called Sawako's first name and she replied, lool. Kazehaya's face was so priceless. Also, when Sawako leaned towards him, Kazehaya sure exploded, lmfao. :3 Also, I loved it when Sawako told Yano and Yoshida and Yano was like playing dumb, lol.

Sure she will. Haha!
I still regret it that Kazehaya wasn't able to see her true form and her evil plan. HAHA. I admit, she's brave for confessing to him like that, and he is super awesome for actually turning and running back to her to clear it up on the spot.

Ahhh..the last scene left me with such a nice feeling.

But seriously...how long do they plan to drag this on? It was bad enough that the heroine took more than half the series to realise her love. They should put in some more drama for the 'after confession' period. I doubt it though.

Wooonderful episode. :D Ahaha, I don't mind Kurumi so much, but I still won't forget that she put Sawako through a heck of a lot of suffering. And there's no guarantee that she changed her ways, is there? Just because she said she and Sawako are rivals... But yeah, don't mind her. Wouldn't mind if she sticks around. Sawako is going to be the winner in the end anyway. >D

The ending of the episode was so adorable! :>
