| Didn't know it's already out online (I know that it's already out). Mostly the same as TV series and Heisuke arc when Kazama appeared, except after Kazama appeared. Kazama and Osen has more conversation!! And seems like Kazama's true intention has been revealed while Shinsengumi (Saitou-san and Yamazaki) arguments. He only wants to protect "Oni" bloodline? Handsomness of Kazama lol~ Osen, Kaoru, and other oni conversation. Kaoru told Kazama not to get near Chizuru, who he has been protecting from behind for a long time. So... that gun oni guy is not always with Kazama? Also not related to Kazama, but Heisuke and Chizuru together at Hatsumoude. Then Kazama appeared there to save her from her bumping the crowd. Then he told her about the oni and danger about Oni-lize of Shinsengumi. Then ending with meeting Hijikata for fight. Peaceful ED song and cool Kazama at the end. |

| I'm afraid there won't be any subs anytime soon...the page of Ruri subs seems to be on hiatus. This sucks, I was looking forward to Kazama's OVA and it's also in my On-Hold list for so long that it irritates me already. I hope someone will sub it in the future. |

| We learnt more about Kazama here than all 27 earlier episodes combined. How in the world are we supposed to not ship Kazama/Chizuru after this. Damn it... this just gave him so much more depth and personality. I even agree with half his beliefs. |

| A bit of a shame that Shinpachi didn't get his own episode, but the focus on Kazama more than made up for it. I'd only planned to re-watch S1 to get in the mood for this, but now it has me wanting to finish the journey once more. This little detour provided me an extra layer of appreciation for the larger story & the way it kept retelling the same scenario from each character's perspective made it refreshing. Of course, I always looked forward to hearing Yamazaki's tatami mat flip since it's such a special move! 7/10 |
