Such a shame... I don't know many of her songs, but the ones I do know were very nice. Both of the Bamboo Blade songs weren't too complicated, but they were still more than just good. The opening felt like it had a touch of old Japanese music, which was great for a kendo-themed anime, but it was still quite modern. May she rest in peace and may her family be at ease...

I'd just recently discovered her (after watching Utawarerumono), and sought out as much of her work as I could as a result, she became a staple on my playlists.

My condolences to her family.

The only one of these I can think of off to the top of my head is ALMATERIA which I thought was a very good song, I lost my dad a couple weeks ago so I know just how hard this must be on her family.

I've only read, that she suffered from some terminal disease, which was the cause of her passing away, too.

I liked some of her work, especially the Sketchbook ED and the Songs from Bamboo Blade.

My deepest condolences to her family and friends, may she rest in peace.

Madoromi no Rinne was really good (I'm playing all her songs right now to rememorate)

All the Aria songs were really wonderful....

Such a shock, she is still so young....Apparently she died of terminal illness...

my condolences....

Anyone wants to add her in the MAL staff list? (last time I checked she wasn't there...she sure merits a page on MAL)

This is, indeed, sad news. I just watched the first episode of Aria the Origination that I've seen in a while, and the opening song still sends shivers down my spine. And I wasn't even aware she did the Bamboo Blade OP/ED, but it makes sense because those gave me spine-shivers, too. Such talent......

May her soul rest in peace in the great beyond~~

That's what I was thinking. Anyone know the cause of death?

Edit: Turns out she passed away from a terminal illness which was diagnosed about a month ago, and passed away shortly, after being admitted into the hospital on Monday. Sad.
May you rest in peace.

OMG.

I think she was a great genius. Without a doubt, the main reason Aria is such a great anime was because of the many excellent songs. I don't recall the Utawarerumono ending, but I can say, without her, Aria wouldn't be as good as it is.

Rest in Peace, dear Eri-sama. We'll miss you.
