I desire money. Not because I am poor or because I am greedy. It is because with money I will gain power and with that power I will be able to change the world.

Oh my god, please no. There are so many better manga out there, no many better yaoi manga. Why this? The art is bad, the story is bad, the characters are bad... sorry but, no. Just, no, I won't force myself through ANOTHER season of this.

I'm really sorry for everyone who likes this and probably feels offended by my post, but I just can't understand why people like Junjou Romantica so much. I'm sorry guys.

I personally hope it won't be a full 3rd season... is there even enough material for it?

@inespisca Junjou Mistake was a part of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi's 2nd season (episode 6, I think)

Why do they keep adopting these shows? Not Yaoi, but Nakamura's mangas. There's so many other Yaoi and Shounen ai series that seriously needs an adoption.. and yet Studio Deen keep milking the cash cow out of Junjou Romantica, which imo is a really bad show. Would prefer it if it actually WAS a Yaoi, and not watered down into a shounen ai.

Watered down into a shounen ai? Junjou and Sekai are both Yaoi...No, they're both BL, there nos Shounen-ai or Yaoi (The first is just a random term made by western fujoshis and the latter is outdated in japan, it's all BL), also they can't adapt a "yaoi", if they do they'll most likely remove all the extreme scenes, for obvious reasons.

Compared to the manga, yeah, it's pretty watered down. Even on MAL's database the the serie's genre is shounen ai and not Yaoi. I'm aware of the term BL, but since I don't live in Japan I will call it by the 'western' term (and I'm not a fujoshi either...). I see no reason to remove the extreme scenes, just make it into a OVA. For me, the only good part about Junjou's and Sekai's manga were the sex scenes, and when removing them it just turned... boring.

This series is boring as shit and absolutely ridiculous. I've never seen men cry so fucking much.

There are plenty of far better yaoi manga out there, why don't they animate one of them instead?

Wow. I didn't think there will be any anime connected with Junjou... I really liked it (despite these square-like faces and hands) and I'm interested in that project, yet... I feel quite fed up with Nakamura's mangas made into anime, especially when some stories and characters are similar. There are many mangas which could be animated and they would be better than Junjou.

MY FEELS EXACTLY

there are SO many other BL mangas out there that would be really worth animating but of course nobody listens

And what do you mean by 'different' anyway? Is there some sort of rule that only females can watch yaoi or what? That's like saying that Shounen series can only be watched by young boys.

Shounen manga are aimed at boys, so it's normal for them to read them. It's not like others aren't allowed to do so (as far as I know, there are lots of other age groups reading e.g. WSJ!). I don't think it was meant in an offensive way, it's just that it's normal for the people who are in the demographic group which the respective manga/anime is directed at, not for others, which doesn't mean there are exceptions (more like everywhere).

Junjou is quite a guilty pleasure but I'd rather another season of SH.
I stopped reading Junjou because the author is just focusing in the main couple and she forgot completely about the other couples (which are the only ones I care about), like they never existed in the first place. I suppose I'll watch, if I can get a couple episodes of these last two pairings, it's ok.

Such great community that doesn't even know how demographics work, AND gives """detailed"""" reviews after first episodes.

@Theobob: I stand corrected by the Hetalia-discussion. I often mix up those two.
Yet, I still can't see your point. Anyone can watch whatever genre they want to. A comedy-fan can still like a more serious toned anime. I don't watch an anime because it has pretty characters, I watch because of the story. So yes, I can compare two different genres based on that.
I'm more annoyed that you act some sort of queen of the otaku-culture. Get down from the high horse already.

Oh please, don't give me that crap.
You can't compare Yaoi to Comedy or some other genre, know your shit man, i'm not saying that it's forbidden for anyone to watch something, for christ's sake can you read english?
high horse? Well last time i checked, i know what i'm talking about i don't spurt out random non-sense.
my whole point is, you're a male and you watch BL, therefore you're different since it's extremely rare, wheter you like or not.
and once again, Don't compare BL to major genres, get over yourself, at this point you're just trolling.

No he's not "different", stop being ignorant. People can like whatever genre they want. Your insistence to keep to your position is annoying and stupid. It's like saying shoujo is only for girls, and shounen is only for guys. When those aren't even close to being fact.

@Theobob: And now you just crossed the line of becoming an ignorant bigot. Congratulations. I tried to take your discussion serious, but I can't really find any reason to have this argument anymore if you're going to go with personal attacks.
I'm sorry for being a disgrace to the human kind for liking several genres at the same time. Either that or I am a liar.

... You don't know what trolling is then.

You weren't taking the discussion serious in the first place, you can't even read. i'm talking about this and you're talking about that.
Wow...just...Dude, we all like several genres, but there are genres that appeal only to a specific audience, why are you being so ignorant?

No i can assure you i'm sure what trolling is and that's what you've been doing for a while now.

in my opinion, there's no such thing as a genre that only appeals to a specific audience. No such thing.

I second that. A shounen manga might primary target young males and a shoujo might primary target young females, but this doesn't mean females can't read shounen or males can't read shoujo. The same goes for BL, it's primary fanbase is female, it's primary target is female, but if a male likes it, it's no crime whatsoever. Why make such a big deal out of something like this? One can like whatever he/she wants and that's it. Because there are people like certain users who decide to make such a big deal out of nothing, males are afraid to admit they like BL.

I'd rather have more Sekai-Ichii Hatsukoi to be honest I liked the main couple in this one better than the on in JR.

I'm all up for animating yaoi's & yuri's (there seriously needs to be some more of these...), but Junjou Romantica? Man, even Sekaiichi Hatsukoi had more 'likeable' male leads!
Also, why is Nakamura (mangaka) getting all the adaptations? There's plenty of more yaoi /yuri manga out there that should get green-lit :(

Yes he is, stop being a troll. you're gonna tell me that a male who likes to read BL while 99% of Otaku males hate it is not "different"? What kind of logic is that?
Shoujo and Shounen are completely different from BL. it's like saying Ecchi and slice of life are the same, which is utterly dumb.

Well Shounen and Shoujo are completely different in themselves. I never tried to say they were the same. The point that you obviously missed was that they were GENRES.

Oh, and please, I'd LOVE to see your statistical evidence behind the BS that is "99% of male otakus hate it." Go on, go find your evidence. I'll wait.
