| I just noticed Luffy throughout the series seems to have a polarizing reaction to men compared to women and seems to be more comfortable and chill around men. Based on Odas text, I feel it's very much so Luffy is homosexual though this isn't confirmed this is just my reading. And I would argue Luffy is most likely in love or in close connection to Zoro or Sanji based on his overly close loving connection to them both. Fingers crossed. #LGBTQ #LUFFY Also, if this does happen I hope Oda will touch on Trans people more and finding your identity and other topics such as racism and sexism more directly. Fingers crossed Oda could do this if so it would be amazing.  |

Oda explicitly stated that Luffy is attracted to women, he just hasn’t found a partner yet because he’s focused on his goal of becoming the Pirate king. In alabasta, his nose literally started bleeding after seeing vivi and Nami’s naked bodies. And it wasn’t accidental, he made an effort to peek. |

Obviously no one can say with 100% certainty except for Oda, but no, Luffy is never referred to as gay- in fact, his sexuality is hardly referenced in the show at all because that’s not what One Piece is about. Buddy just wants to find some treasure. |
