According to the report, ufotable founder, representative director, and president Hikaru Kondo was allegedly directly receiving some of the revenue accrued from the studio's merchandise sales. ...that normally means there's some deep-rooted fraud festering around at all levels of the business. That said, I know Japan business regulations are way more forgiving than a lot of other countries, so perhaps ufotable knows the right people and will be able to slip through this relatively unscathed. Regardless, I'd expect a few delays in the future. |

Probably the best Fate adaptation till now. Yeah I've heard they are doing better with those, still waiting for all 3 of the movies to be out before watching them though. |

Most of his characterization is done by way of his inner monologues, and with those being entirely absent and with no effort ever made to make up for them elsewhere, it makes Shirou really flat. The whole point of Unlimited Blade Works is the way his and Archers morals clash, and when you leave so much of Shirou's thought process out, you don't convey that stuff well. |

Lack of monologues and the way they are implemented, Shirou feels like a generic shounen protagonist most of the time. One of the reasons why Shirou is such a divisive character in the anime fandom is because his character feels pretty static, not justifying his personality or character through monologues, as it was done in the VN. Quite a few plotholes in the anime too, which was expected I guess. Monologing would just make viewers bored though and disrupt the story's pacing so you'd just be exchanging one problem for another. IE: the reason I never finished reading the VN. |
