A great episode IMO. Loved how Kiyotsugu can be smart when he tries, how Shima owned that godslayer Youkai, how Yura misunderstood what happened at the shrine and how the Firebird died much sooner then he did in manga (he was un unmemorable character in manga but he actually had quite a lot of screentiem in here what I like).

Rather boring fight, but jealous Tsurara is cute :D

LOL @ Yura's misunderstanding

And lol @ the little girl

Interesting developments and quick but good fight at the end. That's what I expect from Nurarihyon no Mago.

Pretty good episode. Yura's misunderstanding at what was happening at the shrine was funny. The fight wasn't too good, but I'm glad they got rid of that character.

I don't really remember anything from the manga from next week's episode preview. I really hope I just forgot and that it's not filler. If this is only going to be 24 episodes they need to get the Shikoku arc finished. I really hope it gets another season though. The Kyoto arc would be great animated.

Agreed. That basically sums up anything good about the episode. I still don't understand how he can keep his friends in that room for a few days like that, and it just bugs me because i don't want it to be like your classic shounen where everyone else is an idiot so 'it's okay'.
I doubt they will try to fit another arc in even if this ends within the next 2 episodes (not next week from the preview). I have not read the manga but it would seem ridiculous to squeeze an arc into 5 episodes at they pace they have right now.

The next episode is canon but it seems that we are getting some anime-only flashbacks as well.

Jealous Tsurara X)
Episodes without night Rikuo fighting is usually boring.
Yura's accent is a bother for some reason.
3/5 for the episode.

wow, i think this is a pretty good episode, much better i think than the last two and i like the quick fight at the end, fights like this are what i'll expect from nuramago, i hate long fights, it's just show how stupid the enemy and character fighting it are.

Very well done episode imo, much better development of this portion of the arc than the manga. Rikuo and even Kiyotsugu show off their intelligence and Shima does something. I really like how Rikuo figured out the plan himself this early instead of later on by mere coincidence. The expansions to the Shikoku arc is really doing it wonders, great job to the staff and author who is apparently helping them rewrite stuff!

Next week is a full episode for Senba? Wonderful, it's always been one of my favourite stories from the manga for some reason.

Great episode this time, i love the part when sodemogi guy got hit by shima football skills that is just hilarious. And also i like the sanba garasu vs roasted chicken, i mean in the manga they got less appearance especially in fighting. Is good that in the anime they give them that chance.

What's this about with the shrines and the spiral thing? Wasn't it suppose to be later :P

In any case, this was kind of decent. I knew Aotabou would face off with someone from Shikoku but I didn't guess that someone from Shikoku would be defeated. I'm kinda glad that Rikuo didn't transform again as it would seriously piss me off. And checking the manga again, next episode should be canon again. With only 6 more episodes, I hope for no more fillers. The remaining chapters are enough till the end of the season.

@belatkuro,.i think the gyuuki summary episode is not listed as episode 13 in the official website.,so this ep might still be counted as ep 16,so i think we have 7 more aside from the upcoming episode..

Such a disappointing episode. This anime is really starting to annoy me. The 3 crows managed to beat Hou-Ou with a random as hell attack. I mean, returning his fire against him and OHKO'ing him? When the heck could the crows do anything like that?

Anime seems to be wasting way to much time.

They used wind to both redirect the attack and to increase the firepower (as wind and fire go along nicely).

Also, you should give up n the anime if you don't like anime-only additions. The Director has absolutely no intention to do a copy-paste (no doubt finds it to be boring) and even before the series started he said that he intended to add material (adding material obviously means slowing down the pacing).

Yes, the summary episode is 12.5, so that means we're all 1 episode ahead of our self due to Viz's fail naming.

Edit: I'm not really sure about the episode count. cal.syoboi.jp isn't listing it as an episode, but only has 23 episodes listed (it usually cuts off at the end of the season, but this is a couple of weeks before that).

However, the summary is definitely 12.5 - as stated on the official anime website.

This anime is annoying me really really easily. Even though the fight was meh along with the misunderstanding, I think the Shikoku arc is going to last the entire 2nd half of the anime, hence the opening... I could understand, but why 24 episodes for just 2 arcs is out of my area.

well we are watching and listening (reading the subs) to the conversation and Inu Hou-Ou brags about his fire being invincible and with his arrogance about this so called power, the Sanba-Garasu, as Nayrael said, used the wind to redirect his fire attack againts him, i mean, fire spread bec of wind, get the concept?

looks like their smart move is ''TOO SMART'' for a some viewers ^^,

They should have at the very least explained they could of controlled wind or create wind currents. Hell, the only character that ever explains their 'ability' is the head commander.

Fight scenes are still pretty dull, at least, the ones without Night Rikou in them, even though he pretty much OHKO's everything.

A good episode, and finally some stuff revealed (not so ambiguous anymore). There's some humour in it too! Great seeing the supreme commander again! Again, would've love for more screen time of night rikuo!

What dont tell me the anime is ending soon? But isnt it too early? I mean, not much has been happening so far! It cant end soon! :(

No... just no. You are getting to used on idiocy of explaining your techniques to your enemies what can be seen in most shounens nowadays. One of pros of NnM is that there are less idiots in story who would go on great length to explain to their enemy what their techniques are about (well, manga readers know one character who LOVES explaining his moves to his enemies... and just how he often owns his enemies because of that).

And honestly the scene speaks for itself: one look at what they did is enough to know that they can use wind to some extent.

I agree with Nayrael, the main problem w/ some shounen anime nowadays (bleach, naruto) is the characters waste their time explaining their skills to the enemy instead of using it as being unknown to the enemy as an advantage to win, instead they get their butts kicked cause they're ability can now be countered,..and explanations and too much talking results in long fights which are a nuisance, trying to be dragonball like,.fights should be quick and not dragging just what NnM has.

Heh, too much spoonfeeding by shounen shows can make people stop thinking. I always enjoy it when anime characters don't bother beating around the bush in battles while exclaiming MY POWER IS TO DO THIS AND THAT as their opponents graciously wait for them to finish. My favourite will always be attacking when the other side is still charging/transforming/talking lol.

As for all these 'pointless' expansions, well take up your complaints to the author while you're at it, since iirc these anime-originals were all done with his help. Sorry to disappoint all you purists =P.

Well that's one bad guy down. Those crows make a nice wind combo.

So now Rikuo has discovered the plan but am not sure i get it. Why is destroying all the shrines affecting the Nura family?
BTW that demon manic friend of Rikuo is smarted than he looks. He actually follow clues very well and even set his own network of people.

Yura getting to wrong conclusions there was kind of funny.

This was a great episode. They spent alot more time on the Shikoku yokai than in the manga. I'm glad for that, but I wish the plot would move faster. Its taking forever to get to the part I want to watch most and also the big battle between Shikoku and Nura. This episode was great.
