One of the main things that stand out in Ookami-san is the Narrator, for those of you that don't know that is the same voice actress (Satomi Arai) who does the voice of Kuroko from (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun).

I personally LOVE Kuroko and her voice, however I know that there is a lot of people who can't stand her.

So here's your chance to vote, do you love her voice the way I do, or would you rather kill yourself than have to hear her again

Eeeh.. where's the "I guess she's ok" option? D: My answer would be somewhere in the middle of epic and bleeding ears. Sometimes I'm fine with her, sometimes I just can't stand her voice.

It's like they're trying to recreate Hayate no Gotoku's narrator,
except she narrates too much. In most cases, she ends up talking
over the characters. But the narrator doesn't go a single scene without a line. -_-

She has a very UNIQUE voice, it's not cutesy or girlish, but it's not deep either.

I absolutely LOVE her voice, it's one of the reasons why I like Kuroko so much.

Watching Ookami-san makes me really miss Railgun and Kuroko's Yuri-rape antics with BiriBiri.

I love her voice and her witty remarks, she's like the comic relief of the series XD

The only thing I find annoying is that sometimes she speaks at the same time as the other characters and that irks me a little.

Don't really mind this, but hate when she points out things that are painstakingly obvious.

I must confess that I started this show because the narrator is EXACTLY Kuroko's voice, not only because the seyuu is Arai Satomi , but the way she speaks, her accent, it's KUROKO!

But this show is awesome though.^^

I like how they're trying to be witty with the narration, but sometimes it can be over the top that you miss the punch-line

as for Kuroko being the narrator, yes her voice can be annoying but its an improvement to actually seeing her antics in railgun and index...she was mega-annoying

Kuroko's narration is driving me up the walls when i watch this show!
To the point I am considering dropping it.

I liked her as her character Kuroko in Railgun. But was a narriator? STFU already. Every 10 seconds she is talking, it's annoying, it's too often, and half the time she's talking over the other characters, and telling you stuff that is completely obvious.

I think she works well as narrator here. I was a shocked when I first heard her voice, but I reckon now that her refined yet also piercingly direct style is perfect for such a deadpan, sarcastic narrator.

Of course, given how much the rest of the show seems to be ripping off the To Aru universe and the case of Kagaku no Railgun in particular, I can't help but wonder if the choice of Kuroko was part perceptive casting, part very self-aware joke.

I don't particularly hate her voice. I find her voice really "unique" - not in a bad way.
But the main reason for me finding her role as the narrator annoying as hell is because she's narrating too much and the most absurd things. This is getting ridiculous.

Everything in this quote. I don't find her annoying but there is way too much narration. The narrator points out way too obvious stuff and talks too much. Also she talks over characters all the time and what she says tends to be just her repeating something she said earlier that was also obvious. This show is fine but the narration is killing it for me.

I just wanted to rant about the narrator. The VA is neither great or annoying for me.

On the slightly tangential note of the latter two anime, I have to say I agreed up until some point most of the way through Railgun. Before then, I found Kuroko as a character annoying as hell. Then... I can't remember when exactly, but something changed, and suddenly I didn't mind her so much. So yeah...

... crap, I just realised that has absolutely no relevance to this thread. Um.

Arai Satomi ftw? >.> Yeah...

Ok, let's talk about the narration being overdone.

I see what people mean when they say this. At the same time, though, I think there's only been one moment so far where I've actually gotten annoyed at the narrator for cutting over one of the actual characters. That said, that's still not great considering we're only two episodes in. So yeah, they're trying a bit too hard. Let's just hope they find a better groove over the next few episodes.

I don't really hate her voice, even though I can't stand Kuroko in Railgun, but she has a unique voice. In Ookami, I really like her narration because she can make funny voices:D

I was fine with Kuroko in Railgun, but she tends to get on my nerves here. I just don't find the jokes as funny when I have the punchline explained to me, and it'd be nice if she stopped talking over the characters.

On the other hand, I find the narration in Hayate no Gotoku to be full of win, so perhaps it's a difference in the voice or how often the narrator interrupts (generally once per episode rather than once per scene).

I think Kuroko's narration would be a lot better if they cut her dialogue in half.

Hm... I think her voice doesn't fit the role of a narrator very well.
I prefer the narrator of B Gata H Kei *lulz*

As far as I know the narrator is not the one making/writing down the narration... basically the narrator just hast to read/say what she's being given (i hope you understand what i mean xD)
so it's not the narrator's fault if what she says seems kinda long or unfitting w/e..

her voice reminds me of some kind of old grandma talking.. which is very unique & funny xD personally, i really love her voice and it gives that special touch ^^

I think she's got a great voice, full of brass.

I liked her from the first time I heard her say, "Really, Onee-sama." as she crouched, head in hands, despairing over Mikoto's shorts in the first episode.

However, while she is occasionally amusing here, I don't think that her part was written very well. Maybe the narrator role was an afterthought.

While some of the plotlines in Railgun weren't great, the lines that Kuroko had, and the three wonderful seiyuu that she played off against, made for a fun character in a fun series.

I simply think the scrip need altering so that the narrator isn't speaking over the characters.

YES!!!

Unfortunately there have been too many times where she speaks over them, and it creates confusion, especially if you have to read two different lines of subs all the time.

Other than that, I still love her :)

I don't mind Kuroko narrator, but seriously, don't have her talk when the characters on screen are talking as well. Pausing to read both dialogue up and down the screen is just plain annoying, and hello, do you think my Japanese is so good I can understand two people talking simultaneously without reading subs??

I don't mind the voice and narration adds more effect to the whole fairytale thing but Jesus Christ does she have to talk over people and I actually had to reply 9min of an episode just because i lost track of the story from hearing her banter on when she didn't need to.

Long story short. Narration can be a good thing IF IT IS USED IN MODERATION.

I think Arai's delivery and voice fit the role of a witty, snarky narrator perfectly. However, her lines are too badly written to really live up to the potential.

If I had the chance to fire one single voice actor/actress from the industry, it'd be Arai Satomi without a doubt.
Actually, she's better of dead.

(NOTE: I skipped all of the posts, so if I missed anything, ya better mention it.)

She's great with the narrator voice, but this show doesn't get her any better with the narrator. The problem with the narrator in this series is that she mentions things at the point where it's too obvious for the viewers to know. My ears aren't really bleeding, but her absurd narrating voice in Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi made my ears bleed and gave me a huge headache.
