| Oh that head pat touching scene is adorable. Sae and Kamishiro are bonding together right now and they have a lot of chemistry. Seems this anime loves giving these sort of magical moments between the two, regardless where they are. Good for them though. More memories made under the stars. |

| So close and so far away. The couple has some things to work out even with all the help they are getting. Hisui means well but she can be a bit over the top. Izawa seems to be here for the comedy but doesn't add much to the group. |

| “I hope your feelings reach her, Kamishiro” Sae, they did, girl! God I wanna give her the biggest hug because those last few minutes had me on the verge of tears just like her. She was already on edge about Kamishiro liking someone else, and now she’s gonna be even more of a wreck after that misunderstanding 😭 please don’t let this drag on too long and have them talk things out like we got with she and Sui last week. Speaking of which, Sui being the best wingman this week was soo cute. She went from pursuing Kamishiro to doing everything in her power to help Sae get her man, love her. “To me she’s like a star that shines brighter than the sun” the way Sae is the big catch of the manga and the subject of the title is so sweet. She keeps putting Kamishiro on a pedestal, but she’s not thinking of all the things she did for him and he still looks at her like that shining beacon who was there for him when he was a “lame”. Hopefully she realizes soon. |

| God damn Kamishiro validated the fear of Iwata’s with the way he approached the question. Feels like he’s still not build the confidence in himself so it’s understandable from a personal standpoint but as viewers, it would’ve been fantastic if they just got it out of the way and we got to see the post-relationship, lol. Can’t be as simple as that though, can it? Curious to see where it’ll go from here though. Will upcoming (possible) dejected Iwata question Kamishiro’s answer or not? Also, Mio seems like a genuinely good person. Not fully convinced with Onodera yet though. |

| I loved the episode, but I need a manga reader to educate me, please. Is the unrequited love Kouki feels actually directed towards Sae, and he’s just too scared to admit it? Or does he have a crush on a completely different girl and only wanted to confide in Sae? I'd appreciate an explanation, thank y'all. |
| Lol Just either of them say it out loud. I mean in real life that would probably hold me back in her position as well, but come on, we're in romance anime land, make it happen lol. Unless he really actually likes a different girl, that would be quite funny in a way. |
| God, does every shoujo have to pull this same stunt every single time? The whole “girl finds out the guy she likes has a crush, then wishes him the best, without realizing she’s the crush” trope is so painfully overused it physically makes my eyes roll. At the very least though, this episode had some amazing direction and SB for a romance show, Sayaka Kobayashi GOD. |

| In an enjoyable episode, I hope that Iwa and Kouki realise each other's feelings soon. Iwa must be so hurt, yet still puts on a smile, that's such a hard thing to do when the person you love is right in front of you. Side note: 'Is anyone here a doctor?' is crazy for the smallest cut ever |

| I'm extremely picky when it comes to romance. I really need to like both of the characters, their chemistry and they need to have flaws. But this show. This show. It's so good. I love these two and their journey. Go Sae! Go Koki! Go at your own pace, it's your story. |

| Sui is so ecstatic with love life developments. A well-meaning friend makes things very obvious though, it's a bit embarrassing haha The self-proclaimed group leader keeps dragging the group and he deserves and needs more scolding. The teachers at the back when Kamishiro was apologizing and concerned over Iwata felt like thirdwheels, I think w The transition shots in this series so far are very noticeable. Iwata walking through the door made me giggle for some reason. That felt very grand for the scene, but maybe that's how Iwata feels whenever she tried to take a step towards her crush. Ayukawa ojii-chan.... The way I went Huh?! when Iwata really asked Kamishiro about having someone he likes! But I literally stood up my chair when Kamishiro said "It's unrequited". This made me want to groan and curl up on the floor like Nozaki when he was eavesdropping on Waka and Seo lololol I love the artstyle of the ED! |

Everybody here assumed they're in love with each other BUT i have doubts now about Kamishiro. Wouldn't he confessed to her after her basically subtle confession? why didn't he? that was a clear chance and he let it slip.
Did the overall animation and direction got better this episode?? it really felt like it did but it could also been that the crew did a better job with what they got. I appreciate that, this was a beautiful episode to watch.

That's what i thought, but I guess mangaka wants to pull out more drama and misunderstanding between the two. To all the hints given to the viewer - its 100% he is in love with Sae, just scared to tell her and be rejected, so I assume he waits for her to openly confess...which is dumb, since she is super insecure person. And ending of episode 3 was such a heartbreak. And because of that attitude from male lead, I kinda want to root for Youta instead. He gives those chill cool dude vibes which fit the heroine better |

| If Kamishiro isn't in love with Sae? I'm jumping in my Oldsmobile & driving to Japan to slap him silly! I've mentioned elsewhere but will say it again: at 5'7" Sae is tall, but she should be at least an inch taller than Kamishiro for the whole "giantess" thing to work for me. As for why Kamishiro's so hesitant? Here's my $0.02 (not a spoiler because I'm just guessing) He was super good friends with her and probably had a crush too. Then they drifted apart in Middle school & he probably feels super-guilty! The scene where he asks her what High school she's going to? That's the instant he decided too! Now he's trying to be great friends again, plus he's crushing on her something terrible too. But the guilt he feels and the fear that she'll reject him and he won't even be her friend has paralyzed him completely. He seems tough and cool on the outside, but inside he's a bundle of insecurity! It's really good so far, the attention to details is refreshing! The 3 pairings are plain to see, they're practically spelled out in the ED. 🙂 |

I just feel like we won’t know until the last couple of episodes, so I just wanted to know now, so I can at least understand how he feels instead of being confused about it, you know? |
| Onodera's twist on Koki having someone he likes, Sae will always see it as a misunderstanding, but Kagawa putting facts in her face, it's ultimately up to her to deduce those feelings alongside her new clique with the two girls trying to get through girl talk. The class trip only proves the opportunity for Sae to "target" Koki all the more, and the former's feelings sure show much. Even Onodera trying to help Sae create the opportunity between her and Koki, gets stumped by her rather big-sized body, and trying so hard by being the winggirl. However, the real culprit within the group being Izawa as the lazy bum, he sure got his just desserts being scolded by both Koki and Kagawa. It's clear that Onodera wants Sae to pair with Koki SO BAD that Kagawa has to literally draw the line, but it's Koki who asserts his manliness caring so much for Sae and her face that even a broken bottle of wine out of carelessness, only ups his reputation all the more amongst the girls. And when push comes to shove, Sae having to unwittingly reveal who Koki is yearning towards, Sae is literally the abject meaning of the title drop, but so too is she looking onward towards him in exactly the same form, minus the confession (because it's too early to tell now). Sae is a tryhard, but what she lacks now, needs stacking on her confidence alright... |
