The Unconsoled by Kazuo Ishiguro - three attempts, all failed. It's where Remarque meets Kafka and Murakami, and apparently I can handle them separately, just not all at once, haha.

I always wanted to read a novel by Natsume Souseki... but then I remember that I've never been a big reader.

The Iron Throne. 500 pages feels a little much for my attention span. Ill read all 5 birthright books someday.

Then there are longer series that are an investment. Gotta start book 4 of Heaven Official's Blessing at some point this year. Then thete is a litany of other danmei to consider as well.

Also Horus Heresy because duh.

Hmm "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" I’ve been reading it bit by bit since 2023. I only pick it up when things aren’t going too well with me xD
I'll finish it someday

@-snowblood- I'd say Norwegian Wood, Dance Dance Dance, and especially Wonderland are the better entry points into his tender, surreal, slightly horny melancholy, in my opinion. It might work, or it might not - but honestly, why torture yourself over a single book that doesn't resonate, if you haven't explored the full spectrum? Just a gentle suggestion, haha.
