| Strange case of a brother that no one really remembers. As strange it seems, this seemed almost like a common trend in this type of show regardless of timeline. Up to Jinta to do the mystery solving again. |

| A mysterious case has fallen into Jinta's hands, involving Miura's older brother, Sadanaga, going missing and being erased from everyone's memories as if he never existed. Off-screen, Jinta has gotten close to Ofuu and his father by becoming a regular at their shop. I never expected that Jinta is already 31, but it's hard to keep track when years go by per episode. It seems the flower is different and not daffodils from the ending, but it raises the question: who is that girl, and what’s the story surrounding her here? |

| Another week, another case for Jinya to solve. This time we’re investigating the samurai Naotsugu’s brother disappearance. 100 percent gonna be connected to a demon, but why and how 🤔 pretty good set up episode, even when there’s slower eps like this I like how we see how much Jinya is growing as a person. Cracking jokes, being more friendly.. understandable he’d be a bit closed off given his trauma, but that soba family have really helped him. Very early theory is that Naotsugu brother was basically kidnapped by this demon to create her ideal family and she needed to cover her tracks by altering everyone’s memories of him. Why it didn’t affect Naotsugu himself idk. Next ep can’t come fast enough, I hope the Miura family can get a better ending than our couple last week.. Speaking of family, Natsu is really growing up into a fine young woman. Seeing she and Jinya spend time together kinda saddens me though because he’s effectively immortal and all these people are gonna get old and die while he’s still walking around at some point… also feel like Natsu has a thing for him which is kinda awks because they’re cousins.. but different time and place lol I know a lot of people want the timeskip, but I really like these supporting characters so I’m not rushing it. |

| Very slow episode but that's always a preference to a rushed one. I just hope we get 25 episodes, instead of 12. |

| Good episode, Jinya is learning a lot about flowers from Ofuu sensei, Natsu finding out Jinya's actually 31 is pretty funny, wait till she finds out she's related to him as his adopted sister and technically cousins or something by blood. Also I have a feeling the demon at the start and end of the episode is related to this guy's brother's disappearance, but I mean clearly this is just my crazy theory right? |
| I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life. |
| Very nice setup episode, despite the situation being pretty serious I really do find this show to be chill lol, it relaxes me pretty nicely. And this time around we have the disappearance of Naotsugu’s brother, and that’s not even the weirdest part, that would be that no one remembers his brother except for him, this has demon prints all over it. I’m glad Jinya eventually decided to help out Naotsugu with this issue with some convincing, but at the moment there’s basically no leads besides the potential daffodils left behind and the scenes of the little girl and her ghost family, very intriguing situation indeed. Besides the plot focus, I also really enjoyed the moments with Ofuu and Natsu in this one, they have very nice interactions with Jinya, if it wasn’t for the time skip at the end of episode 1 then I’d assume they were his main love interests, but I can still appreciate their moments despite this. I also think it’s wholesome how Ofuu is having Jinya learn the flower languages, it’s sweet but unfortunately it had to be relevant for this possibly dark plot lol. |

| This was the first episode of this series that I kind of kept checking-out on mentally. Had to go back and re-watch a few scenes. It was just kind of slow and a had a frequently used set-up. Interested to see how it is resolved though. I'm sure there is a demon behind it, but curious to learn the why and how. |

| Enjoyed how this episode was a little more laid back, setup, and the beginning of the investigative mystery of Jinta's new case to crack. The most laid back one out of the five thus far. I concur with the sentiments expressed by another user above and echo the view that despite the tone and actual events in the series regularly being quite dark - murders, rapes, disappearances, family rifts and estrangement, and other tragedies, along with the loss of (Jinta's) humanity, on a scene by scene basis it is frequently quite mellow and with enough calm downtime in-between to be relaxing. |

| The soba place owner keeps on infodumping in a way that really breaks my immersion. I won't be judging the episode for going slow too harshly, as simple interactions can be important on their own, so long as the cast remains relevant in the future. Let's see if this works out or not. |

| If I had to make a wild guess, I'd say the girl from start and end, as well as the missing brother are stuck in some demon illusion world or something? Could be totally wrong, but whatever. |
| The desperate man of Naotsugu Miura of the Arimori family needing some help for his mystery predicament of a missing older sibling, and to both Ofuu and her father, they only know that Jinya's the man for the job since he's become a regular at their place. But unless there's demons involved, the demon slayer isn't going to be of much help, and it's only by the convincing of both father and daughter that he takes up the job for one of their regular customers. Though the conversation with shop owner Natsu does help relieve Jinya a bit with his work to get to his sane mind, nothing comes as a plea like Arimori's for the ronin demon slayer to poke at the case. An aficionado for blades like Jinya's Kadono katana, the search for the older brother "Sadanaga", which brings up the topic of plants since his mysterious death, only raises more flags. And asking the father-daughter duo further about their dealings with the Arimori family, and aside from the kogai samurai gear, it becomes clear that daffodils are the one type of flower that he doesn't wish to find. The case of a missing sibling with the flower of daffodils, how are they connected? |

| A mostly dull set-up so far, but hopefully it's worth it because the next episode is this series' currently highest rated one at 4.6. |
