last episode of the three episode rule so the episodes from now on will be slower and easier to understand. will have to rewatch this episode again since i still didn't fully understand the clown guy and his purpose, although now he's dead so there may be no point in doing that.
@KingShisui antigonus book, that was the clown's purpose, he wants the book. |

what are you talking. it was a very fine episode
@supremeone55 A lots of info are missing compared to Light Novel. Not necessarily a bad thing. But these info were very helpful to give more depth to the overall narrative. I am still seeing many of us still can't grasp core storyline (because of fast pacing), so episodes needs to be a little bit slowed down. Show some mundane tasks done Klein, which are needed for him to understand his power. One example from today's episode is Azik. He is not Klein's direct professor, an assistant of Klein's professor as far as I can remember. Anime is covering the core base of story, but depth is missing. This anime never meant to be a 13 episodes anime. Yes, episodes are 36-38 minute long. But still, not enough. |

I preferred the part of the novel instead for the scene of the clown guy getting back up and saying “Hornacis” (happens differently). It was super creepy in the novel and you can see Klein freaking out a lot more about it, to the point he gets traumatized. |

You're not supposed to understand some stuff like the grey fog just yet, people! This isn't a story where everything makes sense from the get go, it's called MYSTERIES for a reason. As for why Klein was saved by the grey fog, it was because he just assumed that the oppressive force (whispers that he heard and pain) that he felt when he entered the grey fog would be able to shock him awake, since external shocks is what frees you from the clown's control. Was that too hard to understand? Also, he just tried performing divination in the grey fog and voila! It works much better here than in the real world - he didn't know this before. As for the topaz pendent divination, the way how it works was implied before (you ask a question to which you need a true or false answer to, and if it's true the pendent spins clockwise - this is what Klein did above the grey fog too, this time with a piece of paper summoned as well). Klein is by no means yet aware of everything that he can do with the grey fog, he's just stumbling into its abilities. |

@PraiseTheWorld Yes, I saw him mention that, I just don’t understand how some fog could have the same effect as someone slapping you to snap you out of a daze. You know what I mean? I thought that was what Klein meant when he said he needed something or someone to break the clown’s control and bring him back to reality. I just don’t get how some fog was able to do that, that’s what genuinely confused me, haha.

ok, thing I can tell you is that the puppet were doing manipulation on soul not body, the slap was also too make the soul jolt up. it would be explained more in 3rd season. so I can only tell you this.
@supremeone55 No problem, that was more than enough. I thought his control was physical, but if it was mental, then that makes a lot more sense, especially since his shackles suddenly shattered out of nowhere. Thanks for pointing that out! |

Not a lot to comment on this episode. I mean the action was pretty good, so what more is there to say? I do wonder how Klein knows the Clown Potion is genuine, is that his [Seer]ability helping him out or will he need to somehow verify it first? |

@pixelante The Clown Beyonder tempted him with the *REAL* thing since he was going to kill him. He saw no reason to lie, since two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead. LOL. Too bad that didn't work so well. |

Amazing animation quality along with bringing in great story development I can only call it amazing just as the other two episodes have been truly this anime or donghua as it would be called has gone above an beyond my expectations of what can be done in both animation and story quality I also like the fact the system and world seems to be quite complex |

Somehow this fight felt a bit closer to what the action scenes in Mo Dao Zu Shi are. Last time the approach was different (or I was too immersed and I am misremembering some of the details). I dislike the clown guy being killed, in a way he helped MC at least twice. Also can the Secret Order's agents get contradicting orders? |

A minute in, and it already feels like they skipped another year of the plot. Just a moment ago, they showed the main character all happy, finally moving into a new house, providing for his family, and in the next episode, they’re suddenly talking about some random book. Then, in the next scene, it’s like the MC hasn’t even left the previous case. By the way, I totally lost it at the detective scene when they randomly threw in a lightning strike sound and effect at the end of the dialogue—like, what was the point? It wasn’t even raining outside! The epic music with bass-heavy badaboom at every opportunity is pure gold—guess without it, the viewer would fall asleep and forget they’re watching an “unforgettable” 6969-volume light novel story. So, in their massive organization, is the MC really the only seer they’ve got? Like, the MC fails once, and they immediately have to call in a bunch of agents and use a deadly dangerous doll just to figure out they need to follow their only lead? Couldn’t they just send some dude on a bike to scout it out? I’ll say it again—the characters’ faces here are so bland. At first, I didn’t even recognize the MC; he looked like a 15-year-old in the opening scene. The captain guy has a face I swear I’ve seen in five other anime. Literally the same face as Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan. The whole fight scene reeks of some Russian action flick—everything’s gotta be flashy and over-the-top, with constant camera shakes and flips. It’s also giving Korean RPG vibes, where a character can’t just swing an axe—they have to do somersaults and spin in a cloud of sparkles and fart-glitter just to hit a boar. Looks like the only ones not used in the first episode’s plot were the bakery girl and that rat with the cat, though maybe they’ll turn out to be mages or villainous villains too. So, the MC managed to kill the clown because, what, nothing works on him, and he’s just special? And then the doll just shuts down because its battery died? I thought it was some separate entity from the clown. Someone mentioned the captain’s forgetfulness is another Chekhov’s gun hinting at some illness. Could they have made that scene more obvious? Like, he coughs six to eight times, and then after that scene, he just stops coughing entirely, as if the writers were like, “Yup, we showed everything we needed to.” The guy learns the word “clown” from the clown who tried to kill him, and it’s presented like some grand mystery—okay, sure. Anyway, I’m dropping this. No idea why anyone would watch this mess. The creators will probably dump a ton of disjointed nonsense in the next episode too and say, “Just wait, it’ll get really good next time, trust us!” |

first point no I am not trolling . second point, could be, will be revealed by 13th episode, there is already some hints in these 3 episodes. you can't expect Klein who is fighting to death with clown to trust him, do you . and he tried to make deal with Klein for no further complexion because when he would have tried to take the book. Klein would have automatically be out of control. because book was in inner pocket. you can ask me if there is other questions |

I did not read the novel, but the anime seems like the usual ordinary guy ends up in another world and he is an overpowered genius there, everything goes well for him. For example, in episode 3 he as a new member, who can't fight, was sent on a highly dangerous mission. Why? Because he is the protagonist. Of course the team almost got wiped out, but he saved the day. I heard so many good things about the novel, I guess they just couldn't adapt it well. |

Threee said: Why? Because he is the protagonist. why? because the original Klein died because of the Antigonus family's notebook, so he was directly tied to the case. his Seer abilities (like divination) were also useful, so he played more of a support role (as we don't see him interact that much with monster bieber) Threee said: everything goes well for him. a reasonable development. |

This review is for Ep 1, 2, and 3. All the scenes shown are great, but the pacing, skipped scenes, and skipped information are horrible. People say that the pacing will be better now, and that skipped scenes and information will be reordered back in. That is good, but some scenes can't be reordered back in. Specifically the Benson and Melissa scenes. Heck I wouldn't have a problem with the skipped scenes, If the Benson and Melissa scenes weren't skipped. Or if the new house move/reveal in episode 2 was reordered like everything else to after ep 3. Since I can see almost all the other skipped scenes having reordered scenes, except for the Benson and Melissa scenes. Then the scenes that are reordered back in might not be as good, as the og scenes. An example being the reordered and changed Azik scene in this episode. Which I do not think is as good as the og. |

The creators will probably dump a ton of disjointed nonsense in the next episode too and say, “Just wait, it’ll get really good next time, trust us!”
The epic music with bass-heavy badaboom at every opportunity is pure gold—guess without it, the viewer would fall asleep and forget they’re watching an “unforgettable” 6969-volume light novel story. I’m not sure how this is getting so much love. I’m sure for the readers this is great, but for anime only, this shit doesn’t make any sense. There’s so many unanswered things that more everything so confusing. What is the gray fog, what are sequences, who helped him during the fight, and who was the guy and the girl from the first episode? |

@cooldogmom it's literally called lord of mysteries LoL it's supposed to not answer everything from get go. Gray fog and sequence pathways are final level stuff. It's like asking why how eren could control titans in season 3 Also readers didn't know what this things actually is until the last few volumes. Mysteries in this show are always like this. You will be answered one question three more questions will pop out. |

Why? Because he is the protagonist.
why? because the original Klein died because of the Antigonus family's notebook, so he was directly tied to the case. his Seer abilities (like divination) were also useful, so he played more of a support role (as we don't see him interact that much with monster bieber)

a reasonable development.
@Skullwild why? because the original Klein died But they don't know that, or do they? because of the Antigonus family's notebook Why does he have to be there? Can't they find, recognize the notebook without him? he was directly tied to the case. That would be more reason to not bring him. If a cop is tied to a case in real life, he stays out of it. Why do they trust him or was it a test? his Seer abilities (like divination) were also useful Don't they have another seer? I think without the novel this anime can't be understood, it is not telling a cohesive story, just shows parts of the novel. |

@OrigamistToo Some random book? You mean the well-known book that made original Klein kill himself? OK. Yes, the placement of the Benson-introduction scene was weird, but in ep 2 Klein said that the apartment near the kidnapping case one is somehow related to the book. Klein has been there before and gave the book to Ray Bieber. During the kidnapping case he had a weird feeling and later dreamed about it, that's how he figured it out. If Klein's divination failed, why would another seer's one succeed? Nighthawks have only the 9th sequence, they don't have someone with stronger divination. And why couldn't Klein just throw stones at others to wake them up, for example, so that later they could capture the doll? It seems like you just don't like the show, so your mind tries to find things to nag about. Just drop it or don't spread nonsense. |
Imagine normies saying: "Peaky Blinders is mid and overhyped. Just another typical crime drama show. Breaking Bad is much better lol.". |

@Abomination_suah To understand this, I had to read 1984 chapters of a light novel beforehand as preparation for watching third-rate Chinese trash like this show, or sit there jotting down every name on a piece of paper, hoping it might pop up later. Dude, this is a freaking MyAnimeList forum—where do you think people post objective opinions? Here, oh horror, everything written is just "your personal opinion." @Skullwild yeah, as usual with idiots, any message they don’t like is automatically evil and bad ragebait. @Ki11grave "If Klein's divination failed, why would another seer's succeed?" The guy at that point has been on the job for like half an episode and is literally a newbie who’s been on one single case. Why would another seer’s divination work? 🤔 "Just drop it or don’t spread nonsense." Lol, don’t you dare speak badly about my favorite third-rate Chinese garbage, or I’ll write on the forum that you’re spreading nonsense! |
