I don't even tend to watch anime television shows. I tend to watch anime music videos on Youtube rather than full-length anime shows.

Yes it actually does for me.

That's why I didn't have a dropped show yet, also I choose shows carefully.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

Does hate-watching include seeking out so bad its good entertainment? If so, all the time.
Don't let others ruin things for you. Even if a toxic fan pisses in your cereal, you could just get another bowl of cereal.

Actually yes, but not exactly as you state it.

I started watching Re:zero some years ago, managed to watch 3 episodes and loathed it, the characters, the colors, the voice for the mascot and child character were jarring almost everything rubbed me the wrong way. And this year, just a month ago started it all over... dubbed. Boy a what a game changer; I'm really liking it, but still, some things still rub me the wrong way, but it's nothing compared to how I perceived the anime the first try.

I wouldn't say I've had "hate" watching a bad series turn to LOVING it, but basically...I like to watch low rated anime sometimes just to see if it's as bad as people say, so bad it's good or just overhated.

Most of the time they've been pretty damn terrible yeah and often not even in a so bad it's good way, but a boring/frustrating type of bad way. That's when I feel like a true masochist.

But when I do find a so bad it's good/makes me laugh type show it makes me feel it was actually worth a watch just to laugh at how dumb it was.

For example I highly recommend everyone watch this series of shorts about President Trap-Kun, a new student at a respectable Japanese establishment as he serenades the students with his beautiful rapping and bento box hair.

A part of me unironically loves Angel Cop and Genocyber, despite them being utter trash. There's just an aura to the grimy, schlocky OVAs of that era that I can't resist.
Take care of yourself

Yeah, I get that sometimes. Anime stockholm syndrome caused by refusing to drop anything

Right now I'm watching OreAku (shitty power/revenge fantasy harem-mecha-space-isekai) and initially I started it for the lulz but I think I'm slowly starting to genuinely enjoy it

No, because "hate watching" doesn't exist. If this your choice and you watch something - that means some part of you (for whatever reasons) enjoy this, but another part of you (for whatever reasons) don't want to accept that fact)))

Not really "hate-watching", but a lot of things I really like are things I avoided for stupid reasons like high episode counts, "weird" art styles, and creepy communities. The longer I hold out on watching something, the more I like it.

I also watch a lot of things with lower ratings (so like 5/6 average stuff) and usually find some pretty good hidden gems. That came from refusing to drop stuff, but going past the usual three episodes is worth it for a lot of things.

Yes I started with Bakemonogatari 4 Episodes and dropped it cuz I didnt understand that and 2 weeks ago I finished all seasons and specials cuz I understand it now, we need time to understand some thing. Its like reading a book at first you're excited and then bored but u keep watching cuz you're interested in this story. And after you finished this u can enjoy live again^^

I don't know, I don't hate watch anime. I don't watch it to begin with if I don't like the synopsis and display poster. My strategy as sharp as Maki Zenin’s katana. Why would anyone put themselves through hate when there are plenty of bangers out there waiting to be watched

Yes once. I remember I used to absolutely hate Magical Shopping Arcade of Itobashi. Then one day I decided to kind of force myself to watch past episode 1, now it's actually one of my guilty pleasures.

No. Will never happen. I never hate watch, unless it's a singular "why is it so popular and what's all the fuss about?" option I somehow decided to take out of curiosity. You know, I have to complete things too, to be able to point fingers on why I hate this type of offering in the first place.
For instance, I have tried a couple of times to wrestle my mind around what makes moe schoolgirl waifus slice of barely anything happens so appealing to otaweebs, only to hate every second of my life in the process. I swear a lot of brain cells were massacred, seeing that dismal anime about tweenies going to Antarctica. If I was completing more of the likes, my jaw would be as square as Schwarzenegger's from wincing.

And no, I am not a maso. This is an option I take only once every red moon. If it's to watch something bad, I'd rather watch something so incompetent at what it's doing it's entertaining.

The only thing I can think that applies is Gundam. Now, I wouldn't say I've ever hated Gundam, but I've never really been interested in watching mecha shows. Over the years, I've tried watching a bunch of different mecha shows, but with the exception of a few shows like Gurren Lagann, 86, Scrapped Princess, and a few others, none of the mecha shows I watched really grabbed me. I wasn't really a fan of the whole mecha aspect of these shows, which was a shame because the subject matter that a lot of mecha shows cover is stuff that I'm really interested. I really like military shows, but the mecha stuff just detracted from the viewing experience for me.

Well, eventually, I decided to watch IBO and G-Witch. I absolutely loved what I saw. Even so, it really wasn't until this year that I decided to really give Gundam, and by extension mecha shows, another serious shot. You can check the recent history on my profile. I've watched a good number of episodes from a bunch of different Gundam shows over the past few months. One thing I really like about Gundam is all of the different timelines and AUs. I haven't come close to finishing any of them, but I would say that I am definitely a Gundam fan now.

Other than that, I've never hate-watched a show. I just view that kind of thing as a waste of time. If I don't like a show, there's a 90% chance I will just drop it unless I have, like, two or three episodes left to watch.
