It's ok Jill. Elynsia does give off an intimidating vibe with her status and look but she doesn't seem like a bad person.

Episode had more silly moments than I had thought. They sold her chemistry with Hadis really well though imo.

It's strange to see Jill being the one who initiate romantic interaction first, I can't remember exactly when she fall in love for him, probably happened during the one month time-skip period.

It feels like nothing much happened this episode, but despite that I think Hadis's brother finding him was a major development, because gaining an ally is really the first real step they've taken to fight back...at all?

In fact, given how they've planned things, gaining allies is really the ONLY step they will be taking. They've already said that they can't use the dragons to take back power because that would lower faith in Lord Rave. Hadis could fight back using troops loyal to him, but he doesn't seem to want to.

As previously discussed, their plan really seems to be to wait for the fake sword to break on its own, at which point the Uncle will be shown to be an imposter. It seems to be a political, rather than a military solution, IE once they show that Hadis is the true emperor, they appeal to the noble houses for support and gain back power peacefully, rather than through force.

Given that, creating alliances with each house is key. From what they said in the office, Hadis's sister and brother are members of two of the three main houses (not 100% sure how that family structure works, but OK...maybe by marriage?), so gaining even one of them and confirming the other isn't an enemy is a major development in the plan.

So, yeah. Even though this episode seemed to have nothing much happen, I think it was pretty important for the plot.

This was way different than all the rest of the episodes, more light and silly, but interesting none the less.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@amf85 good synopsis and run-down!

I enjoyed the moments with Jill and the dragons, and was cool to see that they reacted to her. Interested to know about "The Dragon Consort's Trials" that they name dropped when Hadis was arguing with Rave too!

Another great episode! I'm loving the pace of it, it feels just right for the events it's covering and unlike many others it doesn't feel like it's skipping out on anything. I get the feeling that the staff put a LOT of time, effort and love into it and are either planning or expecting to be making multiple seasons (likely covering the whole of the source material); which is why it feels as it does for the pace. It's interesting that Elentzia's dragon reacted in the way that she did as well as Elentzia's brother's dragon (can't remember his name at the moment...). I'm guessing it has to do with her status as the Dragon Consort. I love the interactions and dynamic that Jill and Hadis had throughout the episode, it was so wholesome and heartwarming! Particularly the first scene where Jill said she loves him and the events immediately leading up to that declaration. I hope Jill can find a golden eyed black dragon and befriend it, I'm 100% confident that that will be happening. It's somewhat too bad that their slow life on the run is coming to a close, but I'm excited to see what is next to come!

Anyways, this week's episode was terrific and I can't wait for next week to come and see where we go from here!

@jasohn I'm personally not sure whether the dragons were intimidated by Jill because she's the Dragon consort or because she's quite literally stronger than they are and they can sense it.

I also agree that the show is definitely tipping its hand that she's going to get the first gold-eyed black dragon, but I personally will be interested to see if Hadis cheats to make it happen or whether it happens naturally. We know that he cheated to help her on the first dragon test and we know he thinks it's adorable that she wants a dragon that looks like him. However, I wonder if she would resent his cheating if she found out that she didn't earn the dragon herself. The counter-counter point would be that it's possible no dragon will even go near Jill without Hadis helping so...

We shall see.

@GooseHybrid I loved this episode it was the first time other than Rave in which dragons displayed unique personalities.

The question I have is if Jill's magic is sealed do they still sense her as related to the goddess?

Or if they can sense her relationship to the goddess is Rave's blessing negating that instinctual hatred and their reactions are purely based on their instincts as if she was the same as any other citizen of the empire?

If either of these are true then 2 high ranking dragons were actually intimidated by a 10 year old. That title she had was not an exaggeration.

Still Rosa attacks, Brynhild flees what could be the difference?

Hm maybe the difference is where they fall in the food chain

-Rosa dragons should be respected,
-Brynhild dragons are edible

Guess we will have "Dragon Consort's Trials" and then final battle for the rest of this season, curious about the trials though will they just follow the normal cliché way or weird and silly.

Damn they put a lot of work info the dragon classifications in this series! That introduction to dragon eyes and scales was pretty neat. Jill spooking off the scarlet dragon was hilarious. I reckon it has something to do with her being dragon consort and Hadis threatening the dragons?

Meeting Hadis brother was sweet too. He and the sister might talk kinda rough about Hadis but you can tell they do genuinely care for and love their little brother. Still can’t get over how pretty the sister is!!

Hadis wanting to be a stay at home husband and just cook is so sweet. Again still not a massive fan of their ship but they have some sweet moments. Hopefully the counterattack and taking back the city from their uncle starts next week

Loved this episode, it was so silly and funny and there is another sibling that doesn't hate Hadis! I'm also a big fan of the dragons classification and ranks with ofc that nice ribbon of Black + Gold eyes being the ones below a god because that's how Hadis looks.

Wasn't expecting the dragon to attack Jill, I thought it would immediately bow.
Jill gets to meet another ally from her previous life.
Very funny interactions between all the family members.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

I agree with you on the development of the plot. One minor thing bothered me, though—it’s one of those little details that sticks out.

If Jill could intimidate and scare two dragons belonging to the Emperor's prince and princess siblings, how come the dragon that destroyed the fountain during the entrance test didn’t sense Jill or get scared and run away?

@Desi_Nehra I'm reaching here, but maybe Hadis was controlling/commanding it the entire time, not just at the end to make it freeze.

<3 i loved today episode. By the way, this scene is so calm <3. The cozy cabin, nestled amidst the sheltering trees. A husband patiently awaiting the return of his beloved wife. Their small garden that flourishes with care—rows of vibrant greens, ripening vegetables, and delicate flowers nodding in the sunlight. The setting sun, the sound of birdsong, and the rustle of the woods. AhH, just wonderful.

If this is true, then Hadis is an idiot. But most likely, it’s not. Hadis might actually be keeping a watch. Besides, these dragons seem powerful, so they probably rank higher in intelligence too. And with Hadis keeping an eye, this dragon likely put two and two together and skedaddled outta there as fast as possible.

@Desi_Nehra Not sure I understand, but just to be clear, I'm suggesting that it's possible the first dragon was controlled the entire time. I don't think the two red dragons were controlled at all (the episode is presented as Hadis being at home the entire time and not knowing how things went until Jill tells him). We know for sure that Hadis cheated in the fountain test, but not the extent. It's possible that he essentially told the dragon something along the lines of "don't you dare mess up this test for Jill," which would include not messing the whole thing up by running away as well as the weird freezing behavior at the end. All that would be required for this to work is the dragon is more scared of Hadis/Rave than of Jill, even if it IS afraid of Jill.

Anyways, it's just an idea. I don't think we have any way of knowing. Alternatively, maybe it's just a plot hole. Also, I'm not sure (unless I missed it) if we know exactly how smart non-Rave dragons actually are and what exactly they can understand.

Lovely episode!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Jill... XD
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

No way am I going to remember all that info on the dragon colorations lol

I get how Jill felt feeling rejected by that dragon for attacking her.

It's sweet seeing Jill give Hadis affection to calm him down.

I could see why Hadis wouldn't want to live a quiet life in a cabin in the woods.

wasn't too sure what the older brother was gonna be like but was nice knowing he isn't to be taken too seriously 😂
Makoto Furukawa playing as him, almost sounded like Daisuke Ono at points ahahahahah

the chasing scene was actually unexpected but I really like that as well as with the show in general, despite the plot being a bit heavy with the world politics going on, this show doesn't shy away from it's sillier moments so I still enjoy this one a lot more than I'd thought from the start
