Taiki living with someone who made it to the nationals while he didn't in the same house must feel hellish. He's lucky it's his crush. If it was like Haryu or something it would've been way worse.

I know these main character gets sick so their love interest takes care of them is extremely cliche at this point but I still like to see it, especially when you actually like the characters. That cliffhanger tho. That was weird. I know they'll get interrupted by some bullshit timining because that's how the trope always goes but I'm really confused about what Chinatsu is trying to do here.

It really boiled all to that moment when Chinatsu touching his head, and the world made sense again for Taiki ... Almost like if a separate story was happening parallelly within this episode, and the main character of that stroy was Chinatsu.

She obviously wanted to talk to Taiki about his game, but Taiki went all gloom and doom end of the world, and so she said .. "thats it, im going in".

Next week mom's gonna enter the room, 5 bucks.

5 Bucks nothing will happen

That cliffhanger ending really left me wanting more! What a cliffhanger. Chances are nothing will happen but hey, it's worth dreaming about. At least Taiki is more focused now after his defeat and has set new goals for himself to keep moving forward.

I love that seemingly not being that booksmart is another thing Taiki and Hina have in common, not that it boosts her barely existent chances (especially after that ending scene)

Very good episode, defeats, even if they are in the past, don't mean they didn't happen, cinema 🚬

What a moment this episode left us, I can't wait to see what will happen in the next episode, (obviously it will be the typical cliché where they are interrupted or something like that xd)

Final exams are the bane of many a athelete. After prepping for it for so long its not that easy to get over the fact of not making the cut. Writing out and pinning their goals to the wall was a nice move. The contrast between the studying and the practice was nicely done. Damm Chinatsu being able to cook was a pleasant surprise. The talk between the two was perfect but man what a way for that scene to end.

Ending of this episode got me more excited than some dumb shounen fight. Obviously this wont actually lead to something immediately but he has a chance damn it!

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Apparently Netflix thinks that english vocabulary is the same thing as mathematics, judging by the subs in this episode.

Am I always one episode behind or something? Netflix says this was only episode 8...
@Jappie33 Netflix JP is airing each episode one week in advance...you should see a greyed out ep like in the image...using a VPN to JP should allow you watch the latest ep

Nice to finally be able to watch this episode, it didn’t pop up in the usual places I watch the show last week and I honestly wasn’t looking to watch some weird subs where there’s a different main character named Daiki, so I’m now officially on the regular release of the show, it hurts as someone that frequents MAL episode threads but I like having a stable release schedule more than being early on MAL for Internet browny points lol.

But all that aside, this was overall more of a low key episode with the aftermath of Taiki’s loss, really sucks he had to deal with that along with finals but life is a bitch sometimes lol. It’s like I said last week tho, Taiki has some truly great people in his corner with Hina, Kyou, and you can’t forget his crush he lives with, Chinatsu, he ain’t gonna be down for long, not even the great deathly anime cold can stop him lol. And speaking of the anime cold, it may be a trope that is really tired but I always love me a good bit where the MC is taken care of while being sick, and Chinatsu aced the role of caregiver here, loved the real talk they had too about goals and whatnot, maybe being sick is what Taiki really needed to get back on his feet lol.

But holy shit, I was not expecting an ending like that to more of a chill episode, funny to see some people weren’t very into the classic anime fall trope but had no issue with the deathly anime cold, but I loved this personally, and boy what a good cliffhanger it made for, it probably isn’t gonna lead to anything definitive for their relationship but this is definitely the closest they’ve gotten, and with Chinatsu not immediately getting up and instead putting her hand on our boy’s face… flippity dippity doo doggy lol, they even got the ass shot in there, beautiful stuff.

@joshlill Ah! I see the asylum is on lunch break, I would've thought my commenting on an anime episode forum would emphasise that I am an anime only on this story but I suppose you just had to squeeze the famed "quit yapping" in there, I don't understand the bird brained method of slander rather engaging someone in civil discourse, so be warned if you act a fool on my opinions I will crash out and double down.

Taiki is such a hard-working boy, I like how he deals with his problems, he first builds up strong enough skills and then moves on to something bigger.

Seeing Taiki frustrated at not being able to make it to nationals was really sad, but it's at times like these that we have to transform our anxieties into valuable lessons to move forward, and he knows exactly how to do this.

Chinatsu helping Taiki was so beautiful. Chinatsu is really empathetic and even arouses admiration in me. Her subtlety in acting in the right way and supporting Taiki in his achievements is one of her main qualities. We had her helping Taiki in this episode, as an example.

And damn what was that final scene? That was so hot 🥵 I really hope the romance progresses from here, I love this couple.

@joshlill But isn’t what this forum essentially is? we out here discussing the ep as well a s speculate, labelling an educated guess as “presumptious” is ignorant, its clear you pushing an agenda, stop it you sound stupid.

Many chibi scenes this episode <3, it reminded me of Senpai wa Otoko no Ko. Hina was especially cute.
