I’m extremely indecisive on what peak to experience; help me decide.

Basically, I feel like I’ve experienced the majority of truly pinnacle anime, and I need help deciding on what I should watch/read next. The problem is I easily find problems with things so here’s my list and my reasons I haven’t watched it yet. Feel free to convince me otherwise for whichever one.

Code Geass - Artstyle, old animation, and it just felt mid for some rzn off the first ep. I love genius mcs tho.

Frieren - Elf mc, feels unrelatable, idk I have a grudge against this anime for unexplainable reasons.

Gintama - I love serious things so I feel like I wouldn’t wanna watch a long comedy, but I feel like the serious arcs would be peak after the comedy. Also, the animation is old, which isn’t a deal breaker but still.

Hunter x Hunter - Gon has no drip, he and Killua are absolute children which makes it unrelatable, anime is unfinished (not highly problematic), MC legit changes in the manga (huge issue) which makes no sense to me.

Mob Psycho - Character design, although I think the animation looks good. If I enjoyed OPM, I’ll probs enjoy this in regards to character design, but Garou carries my rating of it (especially manga).

JJBA - Love the fashion but the characters look kinda weird and I don’t like how there’s a new MC every part (how is there even development atp?).

Your Lie In April - Outta my genre, with limited time I feel like I would enjoy something else more, though I could be wrong.

SAO - Heard atrocious things about anything past s1. Kirito looks so soft and punchable.

Monster - I know I’d like this but I can’t get into it cuz of art style of both the manga and anime and other hard to explain rzns. The characters faces look soft idk how to explain it and idk why the main character is never spoken about.

Ragna Crimson - I’m 5 episodes in but I just can’t get past the fact the mc was with an adolescent per se. I also just can’t comprehend why he’d allow himself to be crimsons puppet and not gaf about anything else or why he gets immediately buffed by having his future self’s powers.

@deg The whole point is that I’m picky when it comes to certain things, so I need reassurance that x aspect will or will not affect my enjoyment.

@yogie6969 if youre a perfectionist then maybe you will not enjoy them at all but if youre not go watch them since im sure you will enjoy them overall

I'm afraid there's almost 0% probability of you having experienced "the majority of truly pinnacle anime" if you're disregarding some of these great titles for such nitpicky reasons.

I don't personally love the artstyle of Code Geass, but everything else makes it totally worthwhile.

How is "elf mc" a negative? #1 show on this site for a reason - suggest just giving it a try.

One of the most thought-provoking masterpieces out there, disregarded because "character's faces look soft" - come on!

Not really sure if I can help here, but it reminds me that continuing to watch Sword Art Online despite all the negative things I had heard about it was one of the best decisions I've ever made about anime.
(edit: turns out, nobody I ever talked about the series irl thinks it's bad. From how I see it, it's blown completely out of proportions)

Finished TBV yesterday, it’s peak and likely has a better MC than any show listed above (lelouch and gintoki could be better).

"felt mid" "unrelatable" "unserious" "No drip" "heard"

Horrible reasons to not watch an anime.

The first season of Code Geass was good. The last few episodes also get pretty wild. But I think the second season is the best of the series. I haven't gotten that far in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime. I watched the first season (Parts 1 & 2) and watched a little bit of the third season (Part 3). Whereas I've read the first four parts of the manga and am currently on Part 5. Jojo fans have certain parts that they like. Parts 1 and 4 are my personal favorites. Although Part 1 is considered the least popular of the Jojo parts.

I don't know how to help you man. The amount of closed-mindedness is astounding. I don't think you can ever come to enjoy 'truly pinnacle anime' if you keep thinking negatively like this. And if you're not gonna allow yourself to enjoy it, what's the point of watching it in the first place? Anyway if you truly want peak then what you should really watch is Kodomo no Jikan.

You asked, I answer:

- Code Geass - Artstyle, old animation, and it just felt mid for some rzn off the first ep. I love genius mcs tho.

Genius MC? Lol that dude is not a genius.

- Frieren - Elf mc, feels unrelatable, idk I have a grudge against this anime for unexplainable reasons.

It's a chill slice of life adventure with memories of the past. Give it a shot, if not for Frieren, do it for Übels sake or Ferns or both.

- Gintama - I love serious things so I feel like I wouldn’t wanna watch a long comedy, but I feel like the serious arcs would be peak after the comedy. Also, the animation is old, which isn’t a deal breaker but still.

Dissing on Gintama is heresy, watch your steps little padawan.

- Hunter x Hunter - Gon has no drip, he and Killua are absolute children which makes it unrelatable, anime is unfinished (not highly problematic), MC legit changes in the manga (huge issue) which makes no sense to me.

Hisoka is gonna make sure you piss yo pants. Meruem will teach you not all bad guys are actually bad guys. Killua's drip & rizz fuse into a superposition of edgyness.

- Mob Psycho - Character design, although I think the animation looks good. If I enjoyed OPM, I’ll probs enjoy this in regards to character design, but Garou carries my rating of it (especially manga).

What does Garou have to do with Mob Psycho? Everybody knows Reigen is the star of the show.

- JJBA - Love the fashion but the characters look kinda weird and I don’t like how there’s a new MC every part (how is there even development atp?).

Overrated hypetrash, just skip it completely. FR lil bro

- Your Lie In April - Outta my genre, with limited time I feel like I would enjoy something else more, though I could be wrong.

If it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing. Try it out later once you think you have acquired a refined taste.

- SAO - Heard atrocious things about anything past s1. Kirito looks so soft and punchable.

Skip everything, but do give Alicization a shot. No edgy Kirito in part 2 and good action with fitting music.

- Monster - I know I’d like this but I can’t get into it cuz of art style of both the manga and anime and other hard to explain rzns. The characters faces look soft idk how to explain it and idk why the main character is never spoken about.

It's not about how their faces look, it's about what goes on in their minds.

- Ragna Crimson - I’m 5 episodes in but I just can’t get past the fact the mc was with an adolescent per se. I also just can’t comprehend why he’d allow himself to be crimsons puppet and not gaf about anything else or why he gets immediately buffed by having his future self’s powers.

Utter trash, but Ultimatia is hot & the action is pretty decent. Watch this show with your brains turned off, you'll be disappointed if you overanalyze it to conclude it's flashy trash (= junkfood).

boy you've got some goofy ahh reasons not to watch some of those lol

I haven't seen the majority of those (yet) either but I'd say if you're open to it (which I assume you are since you made this post) at least give them a try, nobody is going to force you to watch them until the end if you don't like them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I see you already started Frieren, I hope you enjoy : )

Btw if you're willing to look past the "soft faces" you'll see that Monster is a masterpiece, truly.
Same with Mob Psycho, I wasn't a fan of the art style either but it really grew on me as the series progressed. The story's great, so are the characters and their development

But at the end of the day, watch whatever you like man, just because these are the most popular ones doesn't mean you're obligated to watch them, even if for petty reasons, just enjoy yourself : )

you know it's dark outside, when you go outside, and it's dark. -_-

Also, don't try to watch multiple non-seasonals at once, at this rate you'll never finish anything.
With that amount of spreading you could've easily have finished one or two of that list.

You've only watched 128 anime so far, completing 110 so you can't claim that that's a "majority" of anything.

Anyway, from your list i'd say the ones you'd probably like from the most to least are:

Mob Psycho 100 > Hxh > JoJo > Gintama > Code Geass > Monster > Frieren

Not sure about the rest but i'm guessing:
Ragna Crimson > SAO > YLIA

And yes, the reasons you gave are trivial. Nitpicky.

I'm sorry but I think the reason why you don't like those anime you mentioned is because of your personal problems with them.

You simply don't like them personally, that's all.

No one other than yourself could change your palate, but If you want advice how to enjoy them, open your mind.

There are only a set number of truly goated anime and I’ve covered the majority. The ones listed are the main ones that are peak that I haven’t experienced (anime only).

@yogie6969 oh i see by "majority" you mean most of the popular well-received anime. Well still there's Cowboy Bebop, Eva, Psycho-Pass, Gurren Lagann, Kaguya-sama, Mushoku Tensei, Oshi no Ko, Your Name, Haikyuu!, Monogatari series, Madoka Magica etc all of which you haven't seen.

First of all, no one has watched the majority of great anime, so good news-you have tons more!
From those I recommend JoJo just because it's very unique (and the only one from those I watched some that I truly want to continue, and I say it as a mecha fan)
