Do you know someone who tends to believe their own lies ? I knew someone in the past who liked to lie, but did he believe in his own lies, I'm not sure. Who? He was my friend who was a couple of years older me. And how delusional might this person be He wasn't delusional, just liked to make up things: what happened to him, what he bought/saw/tried, that he knew someone "cool", and other various stories. Do they often believe their own lies ? That's I don't know. But I started to notice discrepancies in his stories and understood that he likes to lie/make up things. |

| I did know a chronic liar in past but I'm not sure if he believed his lies and some Im not sure if they were lies or not. My mom also has a tendency to say things that aren't true but she thinks are. It's more a BPD, NPD and sometimes ASPD thing than a delusion thing. Delusions can be like lies but more are a type of rationalizing in abnormal ways usually. |
