Hello @Romar,

I checked out the provided songs from your comment. I definitely felt closer to Destination of the journey than Hadaka No Yusha, but they are not really my type of songs. As you pointed out these are more emotional, slower paced songs.

I tried to find an appropriate artist from my collection with similar songs. The closest I could think of is Reona. I am not sure if you know her already. She has really nice voice imo. I was thinking of either Nainai, which is the outro song of Shadows House’s first season or Heaven in the Rain, that is the 2nd outro of Shangri-La Frontier.

I usually prefer more “high energy”, “over-the-top” songs. Here are some examples.

One of my favorite songs is "The Lake and The River" by The Dear Hunter (a totally underrated band).
I really love the strong vocals and the story in the song; you can listen to it on its own, or as a part of the narrative told throughout their albums. The instruments used also hook me in so hard, I listen to this song on loop for hours at a time.
@hydrangeyeah
This song by Hako Yamasaki is beyond amazing. I started to listen to it since 4 years ago and I simply like the style this song was created. Also, all songs from Hitsujibungaku are so cool, especially the last ending from Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd season - More Than Words -

I'm a big Yorushika fan so I know all their songs from the first second. My favorite is Matasaburo

Also for music I personal enjoy is music whit a bit of a twist in it. Think of as music that suddenly change tune while not sounding too out of place.

I believe anime lovers are into Rock/metal genre so I recommend the last Linkin Park song released with Chester voice which is Lost, the music video is well animated and the lyrics has a sad message of suffering, the song broke me into tears when I heard it for first time

And for anime related music I recommend Tokyo Revengers S2 Op White Noise for the astonishing band Official Hige dandism, I liked it more than 1st season Op Cry Baby cause it has different atmosphere liky wintry nostalgia since winter season is really coming lol

The music I like is quite varied, but I like music that brings me some type of intense emotion, it can be sad, happiness, something epic, for me as long as it's something that conveys emotions I like it :)

If I were to give a more specific example, it would be songs by the band Bump of chicken, especially this one:

@Danrc_100

Oh boy, if you're looking for intense emotion, then do I have something for you. Behold, one of my all-time favorite artists, Dermot Kennedy, and his song that just drips with feelings of nostalgia, introspection, and heartbreak (I'm sharing a live version, because his voice is perfection): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhtMEFtPWYM

I'm also obsessed with Paris Paloma, and you might enjoy her song Labour that encapsulates one of my favorite themes in songs recently - female rage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMpro7fNLXo (also live). If you enjoy Florence + the Machine or AURORA, I heavily recommend checking the rest of her discography as well.

Okay, last one, I promise! I also love Bump of Chicken, and FantasticYouth is a band I've loved since listening to their ED in World Trigger that I feel have a similar vibe to BoC at times, so I'll recommend this song of theirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnRI54A0dyk

As for me, I also listen to various genres of music, but an incredible voice and songs that elicit strong emotions of any kind, are aspects that keep me coming back to a certain artist, regardless of what language it's in. Aside from the artists I've shared above, I'm also obsessed with Chappell Roan, ABBA, Eve, RADWIMPS, and the Hamilton soundtrack. Hope that helps!

Based on your provided song, my suggestion would be something like this song from Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita :)
The show itself isn't anything to write home about, but the moment when that song came on in the final episodes it kinda made me tear up..
