@nirererin I decided to just stay with the v1 version that I nominated. It might be kind of obsolete, but it's free from spoilers, and well, TOEI's YouTube channel uploaded it, so it makes the video itself more prestigious, haha. Anyway, a theme is a theme. Subtle visual differences in v2, even if they appeared for the majority of the arc to which this opening referred, were small enough to leave everything else untouched. The core theme, music, vibe, roughly over 95% of frames, all of it remains the same in both versions. What is more, like I mentioned before, the v1 version is free from spoilers, which makes it a better candidate. :P

Instead of using "is" which is a form of the verb "be" with a past tense verb, you could say "Nomination period ended" or "Nomination period is over" And for the voting period, you could say "Voting period has started" which is a present perfect that is used to talk about actions that started in the past and are still continuing |

(not counting a possible second listening & OP's that are longer then 1.5 min) This might be a tall order for some. Maybe extend the period for the first rounds that contain more matches? | Watching unfamiliar OPs is a bit risky, and I usually never do that, but the fun is worth it :p 1. Nagi No Asukara OP2 (seems heartwarming and I'm quite interested in watching the anime; never particularly cared about Bakemonogatari OP4 when I watched it) 2. Digimon Adventure OP (one of my all-time favorite OPs from one of my favorite series; don't care about One Piece OP2 and didn't even remember it) 3. Durarara!! OP2 (I've also seen Ketsu OP and liked it more, but this one is nice, and the anime is also high on my priority list; I begrudgingly like GTO opening as well, but my negative bias towards the anime doesn't allow me to actually properly enjoy it) 4. Ranking of Kings OP2 (both are unfamiliar and didn't particularly interest me, but that Toaru Kagaku no Railgun OP1 just seemed like a bunch of boring girls doing nothing lol so, I chose the other one) 5. Boogiepop Phantom OP (really like the old Boogiepop OP, just like the anime itself; I somewhat like Ghost in the Shell movie OP, but not to an extent where I'd care too much) 6. Toaru Majutsu no Index OP1 (oh, nice crossover with Toaru Kagaku no Railgun OP! I suspected they were connected, judging from the titles, but I liked this OP a lot more; really expected something more iconic from Gurren Lagann OP, but still very interested in watching the anime) 7. Xenosaga: The Animation OP (I didn't really like Tonikaku Kawaii OP1, and Xenosaga OP seemed quite nice in comparison; not familiar with either series) 8. LuckyโStar OP (haven't seen either series yet, but at first glance Houseki no Kuni OP didn't seem interesting and couldn't compete with LuckyโStar OP craziness, even though I didn't particularly like it either) 9. Code Geass OP1 (I like quite a few of FLOW openings, and this one is no exception; Space Brothers OP1 didn't pique my interest, and I'm not familiar with the series either) 10. Hibike! Euphonium OP1 (I don't think I've ever heard of this anime, looks interesting; didn't particularly care about Inuyasha OP1 either way and haven't seen it either) 11. Record of Lodoss War OP (I enjoyed this one quite a bit; I don't know what to think of Chainsaw Man OP...need to watch it more times and, preferably, watch the series) 12. One Punch Man OP1 (I didn't listen to the full version of Trinity Seven OP because I take visual elements into an account as well; kind of liked both, but Trinity Seven OP presentation didn't look as interesting) 13. Domestic Girlfriend OP (both the song and the OP as a whole seemed interesting, and Fairy Tail OP15 quite boring in comparison) 14. Arknights Animation: Prelude to Dawn OP1 (didn't really like either, but that K-On!! OP2 seemed so obnoxious to me, and I can only hope that the whole anime isn't like that lol) 15. Devilman Crybaby OP (I wouldn't call this OP one of my favorites, but I always liked its style; Strange Dawn OP was also nice, but nothing really stood out to me) 16. Dororo OP1 (as much as I love Psycho-Pass, I just find Dororo OP1 to be more interesting than Psycho-Pass OP2) 17. Owari no Seraph OP1 (I actually prefer Owari no Seraph EDs, but I like this OP quite a bit as well; Fire Force OP1 didn't grab my attention) 18. Michiko to Hatchin OP (not familiar with either, but Michiko to Hatchin OP just interested me more than Mob Psycho 100 OP1) As a side note, I don't think full versions of the songs should be included because it turns OPs competition into purely songs competition :) or all songs should be full versions, with no visuals. Not to mention that watching some OP while listening to the song and just listening to the song are two entirely different experiences that can't really be compared. Just my two cents. This approach is a bit unfair to new and unfamiliar compositions when they compete against the known OPs, but it's not like I'd enjoy them more than some of my long-time favorites anyway, even if I listen to those new songs 20 times in a row :) I can only judge these OPs based on my preferences and nothing else after all, so playing favorites in some cases is unavoidable. Something familiar and well-liked will always have an advantage. |

Bad idea, I don't wanna wait 3 days for just a few matches, listening to 18x2 openings with ~100s each takes ~1h which is reasonable.

I definitely prefer if the videos have a consistent format, too, otherwise it's difficult to compare them in a fair way. On the other hand, it's not that big of a deal, I can just look up the correct openings in a second tab if I need to. Originally I thought about recommending different videos, but it feels a bit late now that the tournament has already started. I also don't like imposing my standards on everyone else.
