anime only. He is pretty non-emotional, level-headed in the novel. ( albeit novel itself is pretty non-emotional )

Same with novel :( not a faifthful animation by any means
Unique isekai fall asleep at one table as a salaryman wake up as a child noble at another. The delay on the magic reading was good little fake out. Finally thing nobles that cannot read little odd but I guess he has the library as it expected of a noble?
This could have been interesting ONLY IF he didn't turn out to be a one in a million prodigy magic user. Looks like this is going down the typical OP MC with harem isekai route. At least it doesn't have gaming interfaces popping up so far.
Japanese being used in the other world is kind of really stupid.
「あなたのためなら世界中を敵にしてもかまわない」 "If it was for your sake I wouldn't mind even if I had to turn the whole world into my enemy"
Lmao i might be a little interest in this show. Looks how funny his isekai was. I mean, he just reincarnationed as a poor aristocratic family? Its really shit! I laughed hard when hear that. However, yeah, as a typical MC, he would be bless so hard til his end. So, like that shit. He suddenly succeeded using the first magic. Magic? Damn, isekai, always surrounded with the magic thingy. Was that something new on this show? No clue. Great. Now lets see how that cute chibi's MC form can bring to me the more satisfaction.
Hide and seek is the best offline games on this fatamorgana-called-world-thing. Please comment nicely. I am newbie here.
Just rewatched it after reading novel, ehehe i was right that the first foreshadowing part was all anime original, if i know my isekai novels correctly, they would never foreshadow something that they are not sure will happen (most likely he didn't even invent Elise in the first chapter)...
Overall the episode felt very... original, i wish they adapted novel as is, but we get what we get. I wanna write some of the things i wish they included to anyone interested, but feel free to check out at least the first 3 chapters (they are pretty short), it has a lot of “juicy” info. And the first 25 chapters (2 episodes) are pretty interesting, arguably the most interesting part of the novel?
Transportation While it's not the most essential detail, but rather than being transported to the middle of the wedding he was transported normally, in the middle of the night, when everyone is sleeping (so he had time to process the information)
And rather than someone else telling him all the info about his living conditions and who he is, the memories surged in by themselves, nowI don't know which way i'd rather prefer, i like how Erich-niisan educated him on his current situation, but i go by the motto of novel way best way, but i'm not upset at anime. Btw the marriage itself only happened like in chapter 13? after he learned magic and right before Erich left, so the ordering was weird for me. I still don't mind it as much, just like the way he chose to learn about his whereabouts and his name.
Btw i really appreciate the transportation to another world, like you see particular things in front of you and the next time you blink those things in front of you change, that's really cool...
His family It was mentioned okayishly that he has 5 older brothers and 2 half brothers, but he also has 2 half sisters(i guess it didn't matter). And since the other 4 siblings are from his father's mistress, they don't live in the same place, they instead live in the village, which is super interesting. Wend also never really interacted with his half-siblings, so i guess it's fine not putting any emphasis on them...
His relationship with his family... was not the best? being the youngest of them all, it was not very fun for older brothers who are 10+ years older to hang out with him, cause it's not as fun to hang out with such age difference right? So Wend doesn't really blame them and he understands they didn't hate him or anything. Regardless he felt quite lonely, and if it wasn't for his brother Erich who payed some attention to him, he might've been raised as a sociopath of some sort? Also he once mentions in chapter 45 that he talked with their house maid and older villagers more than with his own family, damn dude... that sounds pretty dark.
His family never got in his way while he was learning magic and he didn't know if they even suspected it as they legimately didn't care about what he was doing, but a special chapter from eldest brother Kurt's perspective revealed that he and his father suspected that, when he started going to dangerous parts beyond the safe parts of their house vicinity, the place where even great hunters wouldn't dare to step their foot there and somehow he is all fine and brings home food? I like how anime showed suspective nature of his eldest brother and feeling relief when Wend announced that he will go to become an adventurer, cause in novel i didn't know he hear anything of that sort while Wend was there so i kinda like this.
Also there is some other interesting fact that wasn't mentioned is that concubines is very normal in this world, so it's no big deal (it's especially important given the anime literally shows MC getting concubines later on), which is also pretty unique? i personally have never encountered a piece of fiction that puts so much emphasis on the concubines and showing it as a gold standard of their world. It's to this point where the more concubines you have the larger your dick is, basically you are a better, cooler noble.
Back when Kurt learned about Wend's magic he asked his father whether they should ask Wend to use his magic to prosper their lands, doing several things like 1) make roads 2) kill dangerous monsters in the vicinity all of which Wend could do, this will lead to prosperity in their lands and will even mean that villagers don't have to starve, but father denied everything outright, because this will lead to villagers seeing that Wend is a better successor than Kurt and he wanted to follow the common tradition of having eldest inherit the house. That's quite interesting how they literally could've saved their land, but chose not to due to some stupid traditions and ego (and wanting power, though it was his father's decision and why does he care who is the next heir other than for tradition sake?). Needless to say they didn't want anyone to learn that Wend has magic as it will lead to villagers demanding him to be the next lord. They also didn't want to get in the way of Wend and let him do whatever he pleased (they didn't even ask him to do chores), you can see how intimidated they were by him.
Also it was never mentioned but his father's real wife is at 40 and yet she gave birth to Wend which is super weird in that world, yeah i wish all of that was mentioned...
Erich Anime showed him interacting with Erich a bit, but he is actually much more important to the story, as he is the only one from his siblings who'd spend time to talk to Wend, others really didn't not because they hated Wend or anything, just imagine yourself at 20 talking to your 6 year brother, sure you can say a word or two, but the age difference is too big to be best buddies, yet Erich actually talked to him like they are the same age and given that he reincarnated, his mental age is way higher. He also instructed Wend about the magic crystal ball and how to use it, he also is the first one to find out (he had a hunch) that Wend learned magic and told him to stay quite so he doesn't create feud in family and let his eldest brother inherit the lordship. Speaking of which, another thing anime didn't emphasize enough, like Wend does everytime, he doesn't want to create a feud in the family, he has nothing to do with succession.
So basically Erich is like everything to Wend and also Erich is just as brilliant as Wend, being the only son other than Wend who is able to read, write and do math. He was bad at sword, but he kept practicing until he got better so he is a hardworker.
Adventurer I wish anime mentioned why he was waiting till he becomes 12 before leaving the house, the reason for this is that it's the age that magic academy accepts students and once you become 15 you are an adult and can become an adventurer.
He constantly mentions it in almost every episode how he wishes time would pass sooner and he'd become 12 so he can leave this house and live separately, be independent... because of him mentioning all the time, deep in my heart i felt his eagarness and wanted him to finally become adventurer like he wanted.
his mental age I hear a lot of people talking about him not really acting adult-like, well that's because it's anime's doing. In the novel he is as composed and level headed as you'd expect. And he never got desperate for friends or had trouble making some (ep 3), nor did he not have enough practice talking with others (ep 3), he is completely normal in that regard.
Overpowerness Yes, Wend is ridicilously strong, but he is not overpowered. He has highest amount of mana that anyone in the story has so far. Every top magician commends that in him, BUT he can still die, he can still get outnumbered. Remember how his master died, due to being swarmed by enemies and not having enough time to blast them off. Also while his mana amount is high, it can still run out. Like if enemy has insane defense vs mana-related attacks and Wend keeps attacking him to no avail, he will eventually run out of mana and then collapse. In many other isekais with overpowerd MCs, they are literally overpowered... Also he didn't receive his powers from a God or something, actually we have no idea how he received this high amount of magic. Also if he is attacked by 2 top magicians, they can easily dismantle him, so it's not like he can just go against everyone 1v100 per say. One time he was even scared to go against his brother because he can just poison his food and kill him, he tries to not get enemies as he knows he can be taken down and knows his weaknesses... Anyway just know that he isn't overpowered...
The fact that he is from another world Yes, it doesn't really matter i know. Hard to even consider it an isekai given that we have no idea how he transported and 0 time was spent on it, it only makes significance that he is able to know such delicacies not yet known to man kind as miso soup, soy sauce and wasabi.
Magic Another thing i wish was expanded further on. We have some info about it in the anime here and there, but really, it's not enough and i feel like it's a good part of the novel, i like how magic is in their world.
1)Magic books are the cheapest books in their world
2) Magic is not hereditary, so anyone even a farmer's son can inherit it (that's the reason why magic books are so cheap and why Wend's hosue had them(if they were so poor why do they have magic books, obviously cause they are cheap af), it's in kingdom's interest to make those books cheap so even a farmer can buy them, since magic is so rare in their world, mages are extremely crucial to turning tides in a battle, also having magic sets you up for life.
There are also people who specialize in different types of magic.
You can be a caster: fireball, earth wall, etc...
You can cast magic to boost your speed, strength, healing.
You can use it to craft magic items
You can use it to enhance communication with another person, or move very fast (like teleportation)
And i think MC can do everything, but he never said it outloud, just seeing the various deeds that he's done, one can only assume that he knows use every spell if he tries :v...
You gotta admit it's interesting af :L
Magic teacher The one thing that was heavily changed is how he learned magic, in the novel he did it by himself with the help of the book and once he knew the basics, but still didn't know a whole ton (there is only so much the book can teach you), he met his future master who confessed to him right away that he is dead and wants to pass what he learned. Very much different from episode 2 which was FULLY anime original and unlike spending the whole episode with him, he barely spent 3 chapters together. Regardless one thing remains the same, he really respects his master dearly and wouldn't be half as great of magician without his help. But his master wasn't the sole reason why he succeeded at magic.

This novel is not perfect by any means, it's very low action and has a low emotional output (characters don't show much emotion) and it mostly just monotone info dump and it doesn't really make you care on finishing it (like what's the point of reading, what's protagonist's goal) and many other cons, but it still has a lot of great moments in it which makes me glad reading it.
It's super super politics, there is so much politics in this one. Sometimes i'm not interested and it's boring and sometimes it's top notch (there is no consistency with this novel). It's interesting to read about successions, concubines, social status, how the number of wives make you a better, more successful noble, answering the call of your patron, having retainers be a significant part of the story. Not to mention i've never known until now that there are poor nobles, the nobles who aren't that different from a ordinary villager and how not nice their lives, how much they need to work, how their lives are not set in stone if they are not the first successor, how they have to figure out what to do in lives on their own (everyone in MCs group are like that).
One other thing is that there are almost no evil humans (at least so far from what i've read), there are some antagonists, but they feel so humane, the human greed, the human ego all feels relatable and understandable so you don't hate them this much, who knows what you'd do in their shoes. The real enemies that Wend is fighting are stuff like dragons, ruin golems, other inanimate, non human enemies which is pretty rare, how can I survive without my supervillain tropes of owning the world (i'm not saying they are bad)?
Additionally MC while being this powerful is also very vulnerable, he ends up being used by many for political reasons, which isn't that different from when he used to work as a sales man and used by his greedy bosses. Example of that is King appointing him a baron for ulterior motive, to get him closer to him and call him whenever he needs (like in ep 6 where he ordered him to go subjugate another dragon), or Cardinal who proposed the whole marriage with his grandaughter Elise, also to get Wend closer.
Wow, Well's parents really wanted another daughter if they were going so far as to have eight sons. No wonder their family is poor, look at all those useless books they have. For a guy who is 25-year old mentally he sure reacts like a 6-year old in his new body to this fantasy world lol.
INTERESTING, the anime is really attentive, I could see from the cooking. the guy thought he was in a dream, but it was not a dream so he was just going to live off the scenario as a rich boy taken care of and served, but it ended up he really being a poor family, he had to work in the house, and the helpful brother ended up leaving ALREADY HAHA Then he meets the Link Elf Magic guy??? SO MUCH FUN ALREADY LOL
Okay heres a quaint little twist to the isekai " I wish I was someone else" trope.
So dude is kinda lame, and Japan is clearly getting bleaker. WHEN SUDDENLY...lol
Then...POOOOOOOORRR NOOOOOOBLES!!!!!!
Now he can start from scratch with that magic affinity A+ level!
Looks good, sounds good. I loved how it tried to immerse in the world with the map right away. "Fiction must be more plausible than reality" for a story to work, tis said. And that opening was...meh. The characters might be a bit bland here and there I am guessing. But still it all seems to mesh in a way I like. Plus that ending sequence and song was very enjoyable. HERES TO A GREAT SHOW I HOPE! KAMPAi!!!!!

i say memories of previous life doesn't necessarily mean hes mentally same age as he was in hes previous life, unless author planned it that way, if he hasn't clarified it then its up to us to decide i guess
i know few other animes that were like that and MC was interested in girl so it became a issue, but it became issue cause ppl lack of understanding and the fact is we can't be 100% sure where he is mentally (if we don't count biology body and brains DEV when person grows, that they dev and are limited in younger age) if hes reincarnated with hes memory intact but i am sure biology puts some limits in place so kid could never be 100% adult even if he remembers past life
some ppl have more dev brains for their age so they can be bit more mature but never full adult biological age limits us
kid in adult body is possible but reverse is not, not a doctor but its paste on what i remember from my biology class
It's so, so bad. I rarely drop shows on the first episode but why did an adult mentally regress THIS much? If he is going to be like this, why even make it an isekai?
